Chapter 100~

"You do realize your brother is going to kill you for doing this again, right?" Bon spoke in his ear, as Rin held his cell phone in one hand and held the Kurikara and held onto Blackie with the other.

"Eh, I think he'll forgive me if we thrown Shima in his path after." Rin chuckled as his boyfriend huffed on the other end and Rin grinned even though he knew the other couldn't see it.

"By the way, when do you think you'll be back tonight?"

"Probably not till almost ten, why?" Rin asked, as Blackie ran into the tunnel and glanced at the phone in his hand.

"We've got a test tomorrow in our scripture class and-" Bon started.

"Ugh, don't even remind me." Rin grumbled, as he rolled his eyes. "Teach is going to kill me if I accidently blow something up again."

"That's because you weren't actually trying, Rin. You recite them properly with me."

A blush fell over the teen's face as he glanced elsewhere and saw Blackie's ears perk up slightly. Great, now his familiar was listening to the conversation.

"That's because you have to get handsy when we study. I swear I'm going to start limiting studying to over the phone only." Rin grumbled, as Bon laughed on the other end and Rin caught the light on the other side of the tunnel out of the corner of his eye.

"You remember them better that way though."

"Says you." Rin spoke, as he glanced behind him and then turned back to the opening to the tunnel ahead. "Hey, I have to go. Don't wanna make an entrance when I'm not prepared. I'll see you later tonight."

"Alright, I'll see you later." Bon spoke, before his tone got serious. "And be careful, you idiot. Don't come back to me all banged up like last time!"

"I won't! I won't! I promise!" Rin spoke, as he heard a sigh of relief on the other end. "I love you, Ryuji."

"I love you too, Rin. Go kick some ass for me."

"Will do!"

Red lights flashed from on top of exorcist licensed police vehicles as exorcists stood behind a small roadblock. The sky dark above them, as a police radio hummed in the background with the dispatchers voice muffled behind them.

"Route 3 inbound lane at the True Cross Junction blocked. The vicinity of the south gate of the Academy is sealed." An exorcist spoke out, as the woman with her foot against one of the roadblocks finally spoke.

"The enemy is Ghost Rider!" Shura spoke up, as several exorcists pulled out their weapons and got ready for the confrontation. "It's a dangerous demon that possesses vehicles and causes terrible accidents! Don't let you guard down!"

It was then that two glow balls of light shone through the tunnel ahead of them and the exorcist around him readied their guns. Yukio ready along side them as he took aim and steadied his breath.

"Here it comes!" He called, as they quietly waited.

The twin glowing balls of light moving for a split second, before the sounds of bounding feet came toward them and resounding sounds of confusion ran through their ranks. The glowing light source bouncing with each movement whatever was in the darkness made, as Yukio held tight to his gun and felt his jaw drop at what finally came bounding out of the tunnel. Blackie of all things practically prancing out of the tunnel and into the road lights, as the teen caught sight of his brother riding on top of the sith cat familiar and felt a migraine slowly coming on from the back of his skull. Not again…

"Nii-san, what are you doing?" Yukio demanded, as the fellow exorcist beside him stared at his brother in shock. "Esquires aren't allowed to take part in the operation!"

"Oh come on, don't be so strict." Rin spoke, as he easily jumped off Blackie's back and landed on his feet. His usual smile on his face and the Kurikara in hand. "Brothers are there to help anytime."

"It's dangerous, so get back here right now!" Yukio spoke, as he frowned at his brother for using the same excuse he used the last time.

"Rin, watch out!" Blackie called out, as the teen quickly turned in time to narrowly avoid a motorcycle colliding into him and flattening him.

The vehicle screeching to a halt before the barriers, as the being riding on top of it revved the bikes engine and blew black smoke everywhere. The thick smog blocking the exorcist's view behind the motorcycle and its rider, before it headed straight for him.

"Nii-san!" Yukio called, just as Rin grabbed the hilt of his sword and pulled it from its sheath.

His body lighting on fire in brilliant blue flames, as he tightly gripped the sword and swung out. His blade ripping through the motorcycle and it's demonic rider with ease as it blew past him and fell to pieces before exploding a ways behind him. His brother running toward him and Blackie happily jumped up and down behind him, rocking the ground slightly in the process.

"You did it!"

"How do you like that?" Rin spoke happily, as he grinned and Yukio stopped beside him.

"Nii-san!" Yukio angrily yelled, before a loud semi truck horn blared through the air.

The two of the looking toward the wall barrier for the road as a vehicle suddenly appeared behind it and headlights turned on. The vehicle suddenly jumping the huge wall and smashing into the concrete road a good few yards in front of them, as smoke billowed out and Rin stared at it in confusion.

"What's going on?"

"The enemy is a demon that possesses vehicles." Yukio spoke behind him, an annoyed look on his face as per usual. "It switched from the bike to a truck."

It was then that the truck demon revved it's engine and drove toward the at full speed. The teen behind him quickly aiming his gun and firing off a few bullets, before Rin quickly reached behind him and pushed the gun out of the way.

"Stop, Yukio!" Rin yelled, as he pushed him out of the trucks path and quickly got up in time to watch the truck swerve back toward their direction and take out the roadblock in the process.

"Why are you getting in the way?" Yukio demanded, as he aimed his gun once more.

"Look, there's someone in the truck!" Rin spoke, as Yukio frowned when he looked at the beheaded body sitting in the truck's cockpit.

"That's just a corpse! We have to get rid of it along with the truck." Yukio spoke, before the older frowned and turned to him.

"Why are you judging it so easily?" Rin questioned in annoyance as he glared at his brother. "They run wild because you don't listen to them!"

"We have to take down the demons who hurt people!"

"No! You should listen to their side of the story! That's what a true exorcist is like!" Rin spoke, as his brother gave him a bewildered look and Rin sighed. "At least the old fart would've said so."

"Rin." Yukio sighed, as Shura ran over to them with a frown.

"What do you two think you're doing? It's coming!" She yelled in annoyance as they turned to see demon truck revving its engine a few times before barreling toward them.

"I'll keep it busy, in the mean time you look for its weak point." Rin spoke, as he ran toward the demon and the two behind him looked at him in shock. "Let's go!"

"Nii-san!"

"Oi!"

They called after him, as Rin held tight to the Kurikara and smiled and ran toward the demon coming straight at him, his bright blue flames dancing off him. This was him, the protector of both demons and humans alike, the Blue Exorcist.
