In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth….

And God said, "Let there be light." And there was light….

And God said, "Let… it separate the waters from the waters."…. And it was so….

And God said, "Let the earth sprout vegetation…in which is their seed, each according to its kind…" And it was so….

And God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens…" And it was so….

And God said, "Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creators, and let birds fly above the earth…" So God created the great sea creators… and every winged bird.

And God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures…" And it was so….

Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness…"

"And you are?" Asked man, after he got over being startled by God when he saw Him.

"I am the Lord your God," God said in his deep voice. "And you are my creation, whom I have made in my image. We shall give you a name. You will be called Adam."

Man looked deep in thought. "Why do you call me Adam?"

"Because you are the first man on earth," God answered.

"Why am I the first man?" asked Adam.

"Well," God said, scratching the back of his neck as he always does when thinking, "as you will soon learn. There is a first for everything."

"Why is there a first for everything?" Adam asked confusedly.

Still scratching the back of his neck, God answered, "It's a concept that I started when I created the earth, the trees the animal over there. They all had a first time."

"Oh, well, why-"

When Adam has children, I hope they're as inquisitive as he is.
