That Sam-I-am
That Sam-I-am!
I do not like that Sam-I-am

Caroline winced in sympathy as she watched the jocks throw another slushy at the tall, blond boy who looked both humiliated and shocked at the cold sting of the blue ice and syrup now making him look like the characters from that movie he talked non-stop about.

She remembered just what it was like to have a slushy thrown at you the first few weeks she transferred from Virginia and being the new kid made her a target for the jocks Slush-'Em-And-Leave-'Em hobby. It had been the most hellish time in her life (and that included dating her psycho leatherjacket-wearing ex) before she became a Cheerio and gained some immunity.

Would you like them
Here or there?
I would not like them here or there.
I would not like them anywhere.

Poor guy though, he would've been saved from the humiliation if he just stayed out of Glee club (AKA Trainwrecks ready to be pounded and slushied) but something was really up with that club and people (even the ones who were actually cool) joined for reasons that were beyond her.

She shook away those thoughts impatiently and went closer to inspect the now blue and wet boy who looked like he was either going to cry or run away back to wherever he transferred from. She could relate all too well again. How many times had she begged her dad to move them back to Mystic Falls after all?

You may like them.
You will see.

"Hey," She greeted him almost meekly and those big blue eyes of him looked up in surprise and an expected wariness. He probably thought she was going to throw another slushy at him.

She smiled at him, albeit it came out a bit forcefully because the situation was so awkward. "It's okay, I come in peace. I'm Caroline."

Sam!
If you will let me be, I will try them.
You will see.

He stared at her for another second or so, licking his overly full mouth before answering, "I'm Sam."

Sam-I-Am, it echoed in her head. Do you like green eggs and ham?

He looked almost childlike the way he kept staring at her. All blue eyes, blond hair and too full lips – he was adorable.

She smiled more brightly this time and she could see him almost melt.

"Let's get you cleaned up."

I do so like green eggs and ham!
Thank you!
Thank you, Sam-I-am
