Lyra, Silver decided, was worse than Ethan. As if it wasn't enough, having the short black-haired boy kidnap him from Dragon's Den to drag him to inane places like the department store (does he look like the type who'd enjoy shopping, really? Really?). Now he had to deal with this cheerful, air-headed girl kidnapping him. Silver cursed the day Ethan introduced him to her.

"Awww, why can't I get that chikorita plush?" Lyra whined, pressing her face to the crane game in front of her.

"It's fruitless. The game's a cheating bastard. Can we go? I need to train," Silver snapped in annoyance.

"Of course there aren't any fruits in there, Silver! It would rot!"

This girl... How can anyone be so idiotic? He thought Ethan was bad. He was convinced, one day, being the only one in the group with common sense would take a toll on his sanity.

"I really wanted that Chikorita plush, though... Oh well... Let's go home..."

For all the shit Silver talked about Lyra though, he had to admit, he has quite a soft spot for her - not that he liked her or anything! He definitely didn't like her that way. It was just whenever Lyra got like this it would be easy to make her cry. Then he had to cheer her up and stuff. He didn't want to deal with that.

Brushing past the girl, he (casually. He did not jam it in at all. Nope.) put a quarter in the machine and caught the prize fairly easily.

"H-here," he said as he looked away, face red with embarrassment. "Don't think I'm doing it for you or anything stupid like that! I just don't want you crying and shit."

Lyra's eyes darted between the doll and the blushing boy. Suddenly exploding with happiness, she tackled the boy in to a hug.

"S-Stupid! Don't do things like that! People are going to get the wrong idea!"
