A/N: This movie was amazing, it was honestly so inspiring that I stepped out of the movie theater feeling like I could take on the world. I saw that there was no fanfiction for it so the second I got home I started working. Songs that helped me along were "Firework" by Katy Perry and "Waka Waka" by Shakira.

I don't own!

His heart was pounding…

Sweat was rolling down his back…

And the lights were blinding…

But the sound of the crowd roaring in a voice of pure adrenaline and excitement, joy radiating from every face in the stands, was enough to send him over the edge. Laughter bubbled up in his throat and forced its way into open air where it was drowned out by the cheering.

The weight of his son – his son – resting on his shoulders only added to the chaos of positive emotions that rolled around inside of him, and it felt right.

They had done it, they had defeated the undefeatable, and it was all thanks to a small bot that had only ever been used for sparring. His form that had been riddled with dents and scratches and filled with mud only a few months ago, was now standing in the center of one of the most expensive and renowned boxing rings in the world.

Max cheered and pumped his fists in the air, laughing when Atom mimicked him. The droning of mechanical parts, amazingly, reached Charlie's ears over all the other noise. He glanced over at the robot and noted that there was still smoke pouring out of him and some circuits were still sparking. The damage was all superficial thankfully, nothing that a bit of tinkering and some new metal plates couldn't fix up, they would certainly have the money to attend to him now.

It was stunning, bordering beautiful, how the little hunk of junk had withstood the severe beating of the behemoth that was Zeus. He had gotten up every time, listening to Max, which was odd seeing as how Charlie had been the one wearing the head set. There was just something about Atom that made you believe he was more than just a machine; maybe it was the welding line across his face that gave him a smile, or the way his eyes stared at a person innocently. The shadow program probably played a big part in it, it was almost impossible not to think of him as sentient when his body was mimicking yours, you didn't really think that the stance he was taking was actually your own.

Despite that, Charlie decided, Atom had saved Max's life that night and he was glad.

On his shoulders Max clapped his hands together, but something was off. Charlie's eyes shot up to the boy and blinked nothing odd there; he turned his gaze to the robot next to him and froze.

Max was still clapping but…Atom had dropped one arm to his side, allowing the other to hang in the air triumphantly.

Charlie opened his mouth to say something but bit back on his words, unable to think of what exactly to say. Atom was still on Shadow, yet there he stood, completely in his own stance.

Max once again lifted both hands into the air and Atom returned to mimicking him.

Charlie shook his head and laughed. His laughter doubled when Atom turned his head to look at him and winked.

The crowd continued to cheer.
