Hi Readers,

I'm sorry it has been so long since I last updated. I've been dealing with a lot of different issues and writing wasn't something I was doing enough of. Also, this chapter was a difficult one for me to write. I hope all of you can forgive me for the long wait. I won't lie to any of you, I'm not sure when the next chapter will be. I hope it's sooner rather than later, but I honestly don't know. :(

Before you get into the latest chapter there are two things I want to tell you about. My best FanFiction friend, ElMarSuperstar, created collages for what the Total Drama Life's characters families would look like. Almost all of my original characters are inspired by real life actors and actresses. The collages are a fun way to get a better feel of the characters. I have a few of them on my SilverSun-09 Flickr account! (Gwen & Zoey's, Trent, Heather, Bridgette & Geoff's, Duncan & LeShawna's.) Go and check them out if you are interested and if anyone would like to *Total Drama* the characters like I have for some please do so! I'd very much appreciate it. :)

And lastly, I had a very cool experience on social media a few weeks ago. I actually talked with the voice actor of Duncan, Drew Nelson! I was surprised he even answered my message. I told him how much I loved his work on Total Drama and he was appreciative of the positive feedback and even called me buddy lol. :D It was very cool of him to respond to me. I didn't tell him about Total Drama Life even though ElMarSuperstar tried to get me to lol. I guess I'm too shy for that haha.

I hope all of you enjoy this chapter!

Gwen laid in her bed and cried, the puncture marks to her heart were still fresh from the dagger that was plunged into it. She knew she would never be able to recover from this heartache. Trent was the one person she loved the most in the world. How could he do this? How could he just throw out their entire relationship that they had built for so long? These were the questions running through her head. Simultaneously she felt as if she were to blame for their relationship ending. Was she wrong for not choosing the person she loved over a friend who needed help? She didn't know what to think.

A light knock was heard at her bedroom door before Bridgette and LeShawna entered the room. It had been an hour since Gwen and Trent's relationship ended and Gwen had requested to be left alone, but her friends couldn't just leave her. They had agreed to give her sometime to herself and to check on her sporadically. It broke both Bridgette and LeShawna's hearts to see Gwen in so much pain. She was turned on her side, her back facing the door, but they could hear her crying to herself.

Bridgette walked over to Gwen, she sat a glass of water down on the night stand beside her bed. She knew exactly how Gwen was feeling. Her past break ups with Geoff were agonizing, it was a feeling she wouldn't wish on anyone not even her worst enemy.

LeShawna knelt down in front of Gwen, looking her friend in the eyes. The Sister With Tude' who usually always had something to say was at a loss for words. There was nothing she could say that would help her best friend feel better. All she could do was show Gwen she was there for her, she showed that by hugging her friend.

Bridgette quietly shed a few tears as she watched LeShawna trying her best to comfort their friend. She wiped her tears away with her hand before clearing her throat and speaking.

"We brought you some water."

"Thanks." Gwen said, with a sniffle. "I don't want anything though."

"Just drink a little, Baby. We want you to keep your strength up." LeShawna gently told her.

"I don't have any strength." Gwen cried.

"Of course, you do." LeShawna told her. "You're a lot stronger than me. Come on now, lets get you up." She helped Gwen to sit up in bed. "There you go."

Gwen smiled slightly. "You don't have to treat me like I'm an infant, Shawnie."

"Oh, hush now. Just let me take care of you." LeShawna said.

Gwen let out a weak laugh. "Okay."

"Did I get a smile and a laugh? I must be doin' something right." LeShawna said.

"Here, Gwen." Bridgette said, as she handed over the glass of water.

Gwen surprisingly drank all of the water before handing the empty glass back to Bridgette.

"Damn, Girl. I thought you didn't want any?" LeShawna asked with a chuckle.

"I guess I did." Gwen replied.

"Now we'll work on getting you something to eat." LeShawna said.

"No. No, you don't have to do that. I'm not hungry at all." Gwen told them. "But thanks for being here."

"You don't have to thank us." Bridgette told her. "We're best friends. We're more than friends we're sisters. When one of us is hurting we'll always be there to help each other."

"Exactly." LeShawna agreed.

Gwen shook her head before letting out a cry. "Thank you."

Bridgette wrapped her arms around her friend and hugged her. "I know what you're going through. Whenever me and Geoff broke up I was devastated."

"I know you were." Gwen said with another sniffle. "I had no idea how much pain you were in though until now."

"It's the worst feeling in the world. I'm here for you." Bridgette said, as she soothingly rubbed Gwen's back.

"Next month was going to be our one year anniversary." Gwen said. "I just can't believe it's over. I can't believe he won't be in my life anymore. I don't think I can deal with this kind of pain."

"Don't say that." LeShawna said. "You won't be dealing with this alone. We're here for you, Baby."

"Apart of me wants to call him and tell him I want him back, but another part of me wants to tell him I hate him! I'm so mixed up feeling." Gwen let out.

"I know. I know exactly how you feel." Bridgette said. She hugged Gwen again, who was once again in tears.

LeShawna couldn't help but shed a few tears. She wiped the away the tears in her eyes before becoming angry. "I can't believe he did this! I say we call Trent up and tell to go to hell and more!"

"LeShawna, no." Bridgette said sternly after her friend whipped out her phone.

"Excuse me?"

"Calling Trent up and yelling won't solve anything."

"It will help me feel better."

Gwen stopped crying then let out a sigh. "Bridgette's right. I don't want you fighting with him. As much as I'd love for you to tell him off it won't solve anything."

LeShawna sighed before putting her phone back in her pocket. "Okay. I won't call him but if you change your mind let me know."

"Will do."

"Do you want us to get you anything?" Bridgette asked.

Gwen shook her head. "No. I just want to be alone again."

"All right. We'll give you some space." Bridgette said. "If you need anything we'll be downstairs."

"Okay. Thank you."

Bridgette and LeShawna left the bedroom and headed back down to the living room.

"I think I'm going to call Zoey and let her know what happened. Maybe Gwen would like to see her later?" LeShawna said.

"Okay." Bridgette said, before her phone began ringing. "That's Geoff. I'll take talk to him in the kitchen while you talk to Zoey."

"All right."

"Hello." Bridgette answered, as she walked into the kitchen.

"Hey. How's everything going over there?" Geoff asked.

He was sitting in a comfortable chair in his living room. Duncan and Anne Maria were sitting next to each other on the sofa and Geoff's father was playing with Jacob on the floor. The baby was laying comfortably on a plush blanket, he was highly amused by his grandfather's attention.

"Not great." Bridgette replied. "Gwen is devastated. My heart is breaking by seeing her like this."

"Has she come out of her room yet?"

"No, but me and LeShawna just checked on her. She wanted to be alone again so we're giving her some more space."

"She's lucky you two are there. I'm going to go over to Trent's house to see how he's doing. He's not answering any of my texts."

"What about Jacob?" Bridgette asked.

"My dad agreed to watch him. The little dude loves spending time with grandpa." Geoff informed her.

Anytime grandpa Mike shook the rattle, Jacob's blue eyes lit up and smile was on his face.

"That's true. Give Jacob a kiss for me."

"I will. Talk to you soon."

"Okay. Love you."

"Love you, too."

Bridgette headed back into the living room. "Talk to Zoey?"

"Yeah, she's at her grandma's house with her mom and Gwen's mom. Her and Gwen's mom are coming over. What did Geoff have to say?"

"He wanted to know how Gwen was doing and to let me know that he was going over to Trent's to see how he's doing."

"Did you tell him to punch Trent in the face?" LeShawna asked, she crossed her arms.

"Shawnie," Bridgette said with a sigh. "We have to be a little more diplomatic here."

"Diplomatic? Girl let's face the truth. Now that Gwen and Trent are over, we're going to have to choose a side and there's no way in hell I'm siding with Trent."

Geoff's House

"How is Gwen doing?" Duncan inquired.

Geoff sighed. "Not good, Man. Bridge said she's devastated."

"Damn." Duncan said. It was what he expected, but not what he wanted to hear. Apart of him couldn't help but feel as if it was his fault.

"Aww poor Gwen. This whole thing is so awful." Anne Maria said in a sad voice.

"Gwen's a tough girl though. She'll be all right." Geoff's father Mike said before going back to playing with his grandson.

"I'll drop both of you off at your places before I go over to Trent's. Dad, you're still cool with watching Jake?"

"Of course! You don't even have to ask. I think I'm going to call your brother and have him and Lynn bring over Emma."

"Aww it will be like a family get together." Anne Maria said.

"Thanks, Dad. I'm going to get my keys and then we'll get going." Geoff told his friends before running up to his bedroom to retrieve the keys.

Duncan got up from his seat. "I'll see you later, Mike."

"See you later, Duncan." Mike said.

"Bye." Anne Maria told Mike as she followed Duncan outside.

Duncan leaned up against Geoff's car, he looked up at the beautiful blue sky.

"Let Gwen know if she needs anything she can text me." Anne Maria told him.

"All right. I'll let her know that."

"Thanks." Anne Maria said, she leaned up against the car and looked up at the clear blue sky as well, she took hold of Duncan's hand. "I'm still so glad to know that you're okay. I was so worried and felt so guilty."

Duncan looked at her. "You don't have anything to feel guilty over."

"Maybe that feeling will go away now that we've talked. Now that I know you're safe apart of me doesn't want to let you go."

They looked at each other before sharing a kiss.

"I think after everything we've been through we'll always be apart of each other's lives." Duncan told her.

Anne Maria rested her head on his shoulder. "I think so, too."

"Have you thought anymore about what I said?"

"About forgiving papa?"

"Yeah. I don't want you to stay mad at him forever."

Anne Maria sighed. "It's hard not to be angry at him. He caused me – he caused us a lot of pain."

"He's still your father and he does love you. Even if he acted like a complete dick. I know how much you loved each other before all of this shit happened."

Anne Maria looked up at him. "I'll try to forgive him. But I don't think it will be easy."

The Chan's Residence

"Dakota, it's me. Me, you, and Lindsay need to meet up ASAP. I'm taking some of my stuff over to my Aunt Gem's. Call me back as you as you get this."

Heather ended the call then went over to her bed and zipped shut her red suitcase. "Come on, Jude." She called out to her dog.

The Pomsky came running out from under her bed and over to his owner.

Heather picked him up before dragging the suitcase down the stairs with her. She unexpectedly ran into her mother, who was standing in the living room talking to someone on her phone.

"I'll have to call you back." Jade said, when she seen Heather coming down the stairs with a suitcase. "Heather, just where do you think you're going?"

"Leave me alone. Please just do what I ask." Heather said. The Queen Bee sounded almost as if she was pleading with her mother.

"I'm the one in charge here. You don't tell me what to do."

"I'm doing what I should have done a long time ago. I'm getting away from you and dad."

"Heather, don't you dare leave."

"I know what you did to Aunt Gem and Alister. I'm not letting you control me anymore." Heather said, as she hurriedly walked past her mother.

"Heather, Gem is just trying to manipulate you. She wants to turn you against me and your father. I know what's best for you not her."

Heather stopped, she turned around and looked at her mother. "The only thing you care about is money and power! That's all you've ever cared about. You've never cared about me, Melanie, or Damien."

Jade walked over to her daughter, looking her straight in the eyes. "Everything me and your father have done is for you and your siblings."

Heather laughed. "Are you serious? Do you actually expect me to believe that? You sent Damien away. You cut off Melanie just because she has a boyfriend you don't approve of and all my life you've done nothing but poison me. You tried to turn me into a replica of yourself and because of that I lost friends and I hurt people more times than I can count. It's because of that people hated me and the reason many still do."

"Heather, the world is a cold and vicious place. It's not cotton candy and rainbows. You are either stomped on or you're the one doing the stomping. Do you think your father and I got to where we are today by playing fair? We do what needs to be done to have the life that we have. Why do you think we send you to that disgusting public school? So, you can see how blessed we are truly are. We are the elites in this country, Heather. If we want to stay on top we have to step on a few toes."

"You're hated." Heather told her mother.

"Excuse me?"

"You and dad. You're hated by everyone! You're hated by the people who work for you and you're hated by the public because you are so elitist. More importantly you're hated by your own family because we know how evil you truly are."

Jade had a look of shock on her face, Heather had knocked her off her high horse. She regained her composure in a matter of seconds, but it was a look Heather had never seen from her mother before.

"If your mother says you're not going anywhere then you're not." Jade's bodyguard Xander said, as he came up from behind Heather and grabbed hold of her. "Even if that means I have to take you and lock you inside your room."

"Let me go!"

Heather struggled to free herself but there was no way she could break free. Xander stood at 6 ft 5 and was 250 pounds of muscle. He looked like he could have been a gladiator. Heather always found him to be a good-looking man, but his vacant icy blue eyes always sent a shiver down her spine.

"I'll let you go, but first." Jade walked over to her daughter and ripped Jude away from her.

"Jude!" Heather cried.

The cute black & white Pomsky let out a whimper after being removed from Heather.

"Give him back!"

"Don't worry. It will be taken care of. Consider it as an incentive to come back." Jade said. "Let her go, Xander."

Xander freed Heather from his grasp. The Queen Bee took a few steps back then ran out the door with her suitcase in tears.

"Do you really think that was good idea? Do you at least want me to follow her?" Xander asked his boss.

"No. We know where she's going, she's just heading over my sister's." Jade said. She handed little Jude over to her bodyguard, the tiny dog once again whimpered after being given to him. "Put it upstairs. I'll have Sebastian go out and buy a cage for it."

"Come on, pup, lets go for a walk." Xander said, he walked up the glass spiral staircase. The whole way up Jude could be heard crying.

Jade pulled her phone out and called her latest acquisition. "Stephanie, it's your boss. We're going to be moving along with our project sooner. My assistant Estelle will be calling you soon to set up a meeting with me at my office."

Trent's House

Geoff rang the door bell at the Davison's front door. Trent's mother answered and smiled when she seen Trent's friend.

"Hi, Geoff."

"Hi, Miss. Davison. Is Trent here?"

"Yeah, he is in his room. He told me he wants to be left alone, but I think a friendly face is something he needs right now."

"That's what I'm here for."

"Come on in." Karen opened the door all the way to let Geoff inside then closed it behind him. "He's in a very bad place right now, Geoff. He's absolutely devastated over what happened between him and Gwen."

"I know he is. He's not responding to any of my texts that's why I want to see him."

"I hope he'll be happy to see you. Just knock before going in."

"I will." Geoff told her before heading up the stairs. He could hear Trent playing a solemn tune on his guitar. He waited for him to stop playing before knocking at the door.

"Mom, I just want to be alone for a while."

"It's me, Dude. I just want to know how you're doing."

Geoff heard what sounded like the guitar being sat down on the floor then Trent walking over to the door.

"Hey." Trent said, after opening it.

Geoff took note of the look on Trent's face, utter heartbreak.

"I was going to ask how you're doing but after hearing you playing the guitar and looking at you, I can see it's not well. I'm sorry, Dude. I know how much Gwen meant to you."

"She is– she was everything to me. But apparently I didn't mean everything to her."

Trent went over to his bed and sat the end of it, he picked his guitar back up and began playing it again.

"Come on, Dude, don't say that." Geoff said, he walked over to his friend. "You know Gwen loves you."

"Apparently not enough." Trent responded, he was clearly fighting back tears. "She chose Duncan over me. How could she do that? How could she choose him over me?"

Geoff looked down, he hated seeing his friend so hurt and upset. "I'm sorry, Man. If it helps at all I know what you're going through. When me and Bridge broke up it was a tough time for me."

"I just don't understand how she could pick him over me. After everything we've been through, how she could do this?"

"I'm sorry, Dude. She was in a tough spot."

"A tough spot?" Trent questioned. "She had to choose between me, the person who was been there for her and has loved her for nearly a year, and a guy that caused the most problems we've ever had in our relationship. He tried to break us up!"

Geoff awkwardly put his hands in his pockets and looked away from his friend. "Yeah. I know that's what you think."

"It's not just what I think. Gwen felt the same way until Duncan got inside her head. Hell, everyone knew!"

"I- I just wanted to make sure you were doing all right." Geoff let out. Maybe coming over wasn't a good idea after all? He didn't want to upset Trent anymore, but he also believed in Duncan's innocence.

Trent looked at his friend, he could see how uncomfortable he was. "Geoff, you know I'm right, don't you?"

Geoff sighed. "Dude, you're my friend. But Gwen and Duncan are my friends, too."

Trent couldn't believe what he was hearing. How was this happening? Now his best friend was siding with the enemy? His entire world felt as if it was upside down.

"How can you be friends with him after everything he did to me and Gwen? How can you be friends with him after everything he did to me? He trashed my fucking car and taunted my relationship with Gwen!"

Geoff removed his hands from his pockets and backed up some. His friend looked infuriated more infuriated than he had ever seen before.

"I asked Duncan if he did it and he said no."

"And you believe that?!" Trent questioned, he was outraged.

"Trent… I know you're—"

"Do you believe him?!" Trent interjected.

Geoff was silent for a moment before weakly admitting. "Yeah. Yeah, I do."

Trent was seeing red. His blood was boiling from how angry he was. He lost his girlfriend to Duncan and now he felt as if he lost his best friend.

Geoff could see the pain and anger his friend was feeling. "I'm sorry, Dude. I'm just being completely honest with you."

"I can't believe this. I can't believe everyone is turning on me!" Trent vented.

"Trent, I'm not turning on you."

"Bullshit!"

"It's not bullshit, Trent! I am your friend and as your friend I'm telling you you're wrong. You need to let this shit with Duncan go and talk to him and Gwen."

Trent ran his hand through his hair. He was trying to calm down, but he couldn't. He felt as if he lost all the people he cared about the most. "Just go."

"What?"

"Go, Geoff. Leave. I have nothing else to say to you."

"Trent, come on, Man. Don't be like this."

"Leave!" Trent yelled with both pain & sadness in his voice.

Geoff did as his friend demanded, he wasn't about to fight with him.

Trent shed a few tears now that he was alone. His heart was shattered not only did he lose his girlfriend, but he now he had lost his friends. The image of Duncan's smirking face kept popping into his mind. He was so angry without thinking he stood up and smashed his guitar into pieces.

Gwen's House: 4:30 PM

Bridgette knocked on Gwen's bedroom door before entering the room, she was followed in by LeShawna and Gwen's mother.

"Gwen," Bridgette said. "Your mom is here."

Gwen sat up and looked over seeing her mother with her friends. "Mom." She barely got out before crying.

Amy's heart broke seeing her daughter in so much pain. She got into the bed with her daughter and held her in her arms. Gwen softly cried but felt comforted by being with her mother.

"It's okay, Baby. Just let it all out." Amy told her. "I'm here for you."

Bridgette and LeShawna walked closer to the bed.

"We all are." Bridgette said.

LeShawna sat down at the end up the bed, she couldn't help but cry a little. It killed her to see Gwen so shattered.

"I hate this." Gwen cried.

"I know, Honey. I'm so sorry." Amy said, as she gently rocked back and forth with Gwen in her arms. "I'm here for you. Cry as much as you need to."

"How could Trent do this?" Gwen questioned. "I love him so much."

"It's the worst feeling in the world. I know how much it hurts." Amy said. "You're not going to believe me but in time you will feel better."

"I don't think that will ever happen." Gwen cried.

"Believe me you will. I thought the same thing when it happened to me. While you are healing I will be here for you." Amy said.

"And so, will we." LeShawna said.

"You have so many people who love and support you." Amy said. She continued to hold her daughter until she seen Zoey standing in the doorway. "I brought your cousin with me."

"Hey, Gwen." Zoey said, she walked over to the bed. It was difficult for her to see Gwen in such a shattered state. She always viewed Gwen as being such a strong girl and this was proof that even the strongest of people crumble.

"Hey, Zoe." Gwen said softly.

"Everything is going to be okay." Zoey told her cousin. "I'm going to stay here with you all night and help cheer you up."

"You don't have to do that, Zoe."

"Of course, I do. You're my cousin, I can't stand to see you like this. In order to cheer you up I brought over some movies for us to watch tonight."

"Thanks, Zoe, but I really don't feel like watching some romantic comedies."

Zoey laughed. "That's for if I'm upset. For you I brought Scream, Scream 2, and Scream 3."

Gwen chuckled. "But you hate those kinds of movies."

"I do. But you don't."

Gwen laughed. "Thanks, but we can skip Scream 3. That's my least favorite one."

"I will not object to that." Zoey said, which made Gwen laugh again. "I'm glad I'm at least getting you to laugh a little."

"So am I." Amy said with a smile. "How about I go downstairs and get you a big bowl of ice cream?"

"Thanks, but I'm not really hungry."

"It's vanilla your favorite."

Gwen smiled slightly. "Well, okay. But after that I really want to go back to sleep for a little."

"That's okay because we'll be up all night watching movies." Zoey said.

"I'll be right back with your ice cream." Amy said before getting out of the bed and heading downstairs.

"How is she doing?" Duncan asked. He was sitting in the living room waiting for someone to come back downstairs.

"She's hurting." Amy sadly replied. "I'm going to get her a big bowl of ice cream then we are going to let sleep for a while."

"I know how she feels. I felt the same way after my girlfriend broke up with me. Do you think I should go up and talk to her?"

"Maybe a little later. I just want to get her some ice cream and help take her mind off this break up."

"Okay. I understand." Duncan responded. He couldn't help but feel like he was the responsible for Gwen's pain.

Trent's House: 7:00 PM

"Can I come in?" Karen asked after knocking on her son's bedroom door.

Trent was quiet for a moment before responding. "Yeah, you can."

His mother opened the door, she looked beautiful in a red cocktail dress.

"Thank God none of my friends are here. They already view you as the hot mom." Trent said, he was laying in his bed watching videos on YouTube.

"Well, your friends do have excellent taste in women." Karen joked before seeing the broken guitar on the floor. "Trent, why did you do this?"

"I wasn't thinking. I was angry and frustrated over what happened with Gwen. And now- now my friends are siding with Duncan."

"What?" Karen questioned. She walked over to his bed, carefully avoiding the broken guitar pieces on the floor. "After everything that jerk did to you?"

"Yeah after everything. So, I've lost my girlfriend and now I've lost my friends." Trent replied. He felt some tears coming on, but he forced them back he didn't want to cry especially in front of his mother.

Karen could see the sadness her son feeling, it broke her heart to see him hurt. "All of them believe Duncan now? After all of these months siding with you?" She asked, as she sat down on the side of his bed.

Trent nodded. "It looks that way. Gwen believes Duncan now and apparently Geoff always did, he just never told me. I'm sure that means Bridgette believes Duncan, too, and LeShawna will of course side with Gwen. I'm all alone now."

"Aww, Trent. I hate this! You have Rock and- and what was the other guy's name?"

"Spud."

"Yeah, you have Rock and Spud."

"But they're not my best friends. It's not like me and Geoff."

"What about the guys from the band?"

"That band is officially over. Paulie and his girlfriend broke up, so he went to Jersey for the summer to get out of New York for a while. Shane decided to get a full-time job and Kyle… well, Kyle is a dick."

"Yeah, Kyle is a dick." Karen agreed.

"I wish dad was here. That way I could talk to him about this stuff." Trent said with a lot of grief in his voice.

Karen's heart broke even more. "Aww, Trent. You can talk to me."

"I know, it's just… I wish he was here."

"I know. I wish he was here too. He would've loved to see what a talented guy you turned out to be. You inherited so much from him. Not only do you look a lot like him, but you are so creative and talented like he was. Gosh, he used to sit and play the guitar for hours. I can remember when I was pregnant with you he used to make me sit with him while he played. When your older brother never showed much interest in music it always sort of bummed him out. So, with you he would say he was getting you interested early. For nine months I had to sit for an hour a day, sometimes two, while he played the guitar."

Trent laughed. "Do you think it worked?"

"When you were a baby you used to sit and listen to him play then when he was done you'd clap your little hands. Oh, my God, he loved that!" Karen said with a smile as she reflected. "Then as you grew older you certainly loved to the play the guitar with him. So, yeah, I'd say that it did work."

"Do you know if dad ever broke any guitars?" Trent asked, with a small laugh.

"Trenton did break his fair share of guitars and I never helped clean it up. This guitar mess is all on you to clean up too."

"So, we share the same name and a love of music. And now I learn we've both smashed guitars." Trent said with a laugh.

"Trent, your father was an amazing person. A beautiful person. But he had his demons especially when he'd experience darkness. He loved to party and ultimately that's what killed him. I know you're hurt over Gwen and what's going on with your friends, but I don't want you to go down the same path your father did. If you need to talk about anything please come to me."

"I will." Trent told her before changing the subject. "Don't you have a date with Carter?"

"Yeah. We're going to see a show on Broadway then out to dinner. I was going to go back to his place for the night, but if you want me to come home I will."

"No. You don't have to do that."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah. I'll be fine."

The door's doorbell rang, it was definitely Carter.

"That's probably him." Karen said, she gave her son a kiss on his forehead. "If you need me I'm just a phone call away."

"Okay. Have fun."

"I will. Love you."

"Love you, too."

Trent watched from his bedroom window Karen and Carter walking his car. Trent liked Carter and he was happy his mother had someone special in her life. He didn't exactly view Carter as a father figure, but in time that could change.

After he watched them drive off to their date, he went over to his nightstand and pulled out a pint of Fireball Whiskey. Rock had given it to him earlier when he was visiting with Spud.

"That burns." He said to himself after taking a swig of it.

He went downstairs and sat down on the sofa, he flicked through the channels on TV as he took swigs of the whiskey. No matter how hard he tried to numb his pain his break up still played in his head.

"Trent, Duncan isn't going anywhere."

"You're still going to let him stay here with you?!"

"Yes, because he needs help. He has nowhere to go and came to me for help even after everything that happened."

"You're really going to let him live with you? Even though you know how I feel?"

"Yes. He needs help. He needs someone to help him. Trent, his life has been hell."

"He can't be trusted, Gwen. He tried to break us up!"

"Oh, my God. Trent, we can't keep having this argument. We need to move passed this."

"You were in total agreement with me on everything for months. Then all of the sudden he shows up at your door and gives you some sob story and you believe him?"

"I never thought he wanted to break us up, Trent! Okay? I never thought that."

"But you said you agreed that he was. You said—"

"It was wrong of me. I should've been honest with how I truly felt. I chose your side because I love you and I wanted our relationship to work."

"Choose me again. If you love me, you will."

"I do love you, Trent. I love you so much. But I can't choose you this time."

He snapped back to reality when he heard his doorbell ring, he got up and answered the door.

"Hi." Heather greeted.

Trent smiled slightly. "Hey. Thanks for coming over."

"Of course. I was pretty surprised to get your text."

"Yeah. Well, I really needed a friendly face."

"After the day I've had I needed one, too." Heather said, as she walked into the house.

Trent closed the door behind then took her into the living room. She sat down on the sofa beside him, she didn't know what was going on with Trent, but she could smell alcohol on him.

"What's going on?" She asked.

Trent pulled out his pint of whiskey and took another drink from it. "Do you want any?"

"I thought I could smell alcohol on you. No thanks, I hate Fireball Whiskey. I don't care for whiskey much in general."

"More for me then." Trent said, before taking another swig. "That fucking burns."

Heather laughed. "It's called Fireball Whiskey for a reason."

"Yeah, I guess that's true." He looked at her with pain and sadness in his green eyes. "I lost Gwen… we broke up. And it looks like I've lost my friends too."

"Oh, my God!" Heather exclaimed, she was shocked by the news. She didn't think Gwen and Trent would ever break up. "When did this happen?"

"Today. A couple of hours ago."

Heather felt saddened for him, she could see he was hurting. "Trent, I'm so sorry. What happened?"

Trent sighed. "Duncan. That asshole he got inside her head and all of my friends' heads. After everything he did to our relationship she is siding with him." He sounded choked up but didn't break. "Heather, you were there when all of that shit went down. You seen how he tried to break us up! You seen what he did to my car."

Heather felt like she had just been hit by a train. The memories of her vile behavior came flooding back to her mind. The torture she put Gwen and Trent through. Destroying Trent's car and setting it up to look like Duncan did it. The deplorable behavior she had tried so hard to forget and to make up for was now back to haunt her.

Trent quit speaking when he seen the shattered look on Heather's face.

"Heather, are you okay?"

Heather knew what she had to do. It was finally time to fess up to all of her evil deeds.
