Well, I've done drabbles both from Gale and Katniss's point of view, so I suppose it was only a matter of time before I wrote for Peeta.

I am very pleased with this. It is set in the last couple of pages of Hunger Games.

Disclaimer: Everything is Suzanne Collins. I applaud her genius.

Used.

As soon as the words leave Katniss's lips my face hardens. I am hit with the realization that everything she has said, everything she has done, could be a lie.

I stare at her, feeling cold.

"Well, let me know when you work it out," I tell her, before returning to the train.

I stay in my room the rest of the trip and try to order my thoughts.

No one attempts to visit me, which only cements the fact in my mind that Haymitch and Katniss have conspired together without filling me in.

After all, I am the one dumb enough to confess his feelings for a girl who already belongs to someone else. I was foolish to think she was ever mine.

The arena played tricks on me and now the entire district will laugh at me for my mistake.

When the train finally stops in District Twelve, I put on a mask.

Katniss looks at me in uncertainty as we stand in front of the doors, my hand held open towards her.

"One more time? For the audience?"

Katniss accepts my hand and pastes on a smile as we emerge, leaning in to kiss my cheek for the cameras.

I smile back at her like a boy in love.

I will play her game, for now.
