Objective: Integrate IND-Ra with stable VLC-1, VLC-2 and VLC-4 populations. Packs as follow:
VLC-4 Pack designated Carthage, numbers in the high twenties, formed in 2003, matriarchal structure, nests in tropical terrain, hunts near the river, but avoids the aviary.
VLC-1 Pack designated Babylon, numbers in the low fifties, formed in 1991, tribal structure centered around small family groups, subservient to one alpha, nests in volcanic areas, hunts around the old worker village, but has no nocturnal activity there.
VLC-1 Pack designated Jericho, numbers unknown. Formed in ?. No known structure, no Alpha, nomadic, non-aggressive, diet assumed to consist primarily of carrion and fish. Collection of rogues and orphaned juveniles, will join other packs on hunts, even nest with them for a while, then moves on.
VLC-4 Pack designated Athens, numbers in the high-forties, formed in 2019. Leadership centered around one alpha male and one alpha female, most other pack members are also breeding pairs. Nests in the canyon, hunts near the river, primarily inside the aviary.
VLC-2 Pack designated Sparta, numbers in high tens, formed in 1992, Patriarchal structure, two males, sixteen females. Migrates yearly, currently occupies the redwoods and hunts on the central game trail.
VLC-3 Pack designated Nope. ALL INTERACTION STRICTLY FORBIDDEN! Study only as reference group. Extremely rigid hierarchy centered on one alpha, EXTREMELY AGRRESIVE ITERATION, from the same batch as the "Big One", will destroy all observation equipment it can find, will hunt down and kill researchers who placed them, KILLS FOR SPORTS.

1051: Pack returned from hunt. F1 charged INR-002. F3 interposed.
INR-002 UPDATE, Distinguishing features: muzzle slashed by F3, long incision from left nostril to left lip.
1052: 002 tried to hide under F3, thought she'd protect him, looked like she would. She lashed out the moment he tried to nuzzle. Poor bastard's having a bad start in life.

1021: Adults allow hatchlings and juveniles to feed first. INR-002 cannot approach kill, even F3 snaps at him. Weaker or disformed hatchlings are not allowed to eat H5 died last night. H4 does not look good.
1029: Commotion near the kill. INR-002 stole meat.
INR-002 UPDATE, Distinguishing features: tip of tail missing, bitten off by F4.
1030: H4 ate the stolen meat. INR-002 has not eaten in two days. H4 looks better, INR-002 got fucked up. Limping, trouble breathing. He won't survive the night.

Most of the runts have been killed off. H4 and INR-002 appear to have bonded.
INR-002 UPDATE, Distinguishing features: Silver streak on neck, sides and tail.
INR-002 UPDARE, Behavior:
INR-002 will not defend itself when attacked by other juveniles.
INR-002 has ceased walking on all four.
He appears marginally stronger than other hatchlings and becomes violent when an individual snaps at F3 or H4, will attack despite overwhelming odds. Aggression? Loyalty?
F3 calls INR-002 before nap time and will not sleep if he does not answer. F3 has no hatchlings of her own. I think she neglected her eggs, or was not permitted to have more?
INR-002 UPDATE, Distinguishing features: Tail grew back.
INR-003 Status: Hatched in Athens.
NOTE: I have not yet observed INR-002 eating, he is clearly able to hunt, but if he does so, it must be at night.

H3 and H1 killed H4 last night. INR-002 is making this aweful noise, like crying and screaming at the same tome won't leave the hatchling's corpse, won't eat. Mourning? May be starving. F3 is agitated, distracted, F1 snapped at her twice today.
NOTE: Rodents got to my rations, will require unscheduled re-supply.

F1, F2 and F3 scared off some large predator. Heard it, couldn't see it.
INR-003 is allowed to eat with the adults. I did not pay enough attention to him, it seems he's the only hatchling in this pack. Did he kill the others?

INR-002 finally fell asleep. Compies tried to feed off H4's body. Five of them, all roughly two thirds his size. He woke up and killed all of them.

F1 snapped at our ugly duckling. F3 snapped at F1. You could hear the nest gasp.
F1 appears afraid of… Let's call him Swan, yeah? She won't snap at F3 if he's watching.
Received laminated photograph of Swan and his mom, as well as food. Still can't find where the vermins are coming in from.
Swan has started snapping at other juveniles… I think only H3 and H1. H2 is minding his own business and Swan is cool with him.

F2 snapped at F3 today, drew blood.
F2 is dead.
Swan is extremely lethal, dug his way through her throat and into her spine. F1 appeared in shock, did nothing.
And I know what he's been eating.
