Okay, so here's the thing...writing these stories (all of my stories on here) has become kind of difficult. I can't even begin to explain how hard it's been for me to write them. It's not just the fact that I've been majorly depressed for the past year it's also just that I feel like I've possibly moved on from writing fanfiction. It's sad to me, because I still read some of it, but the thought of writing it doesn't excite me or interest me in the way it use to.

With that being said this is one of the stories that I was most excited to challenge myself with and write so I would like to know your thoughts on it...I'm so close to reaching the end of the series but sometimes it doesn't feel worth it anymore, if you know what I mean? So I would like to know how invested you all are in this, should I finish it? Because there is a part of me that doesn't feel it anymore, but if there are people who genuinely want an ending I will do my best to provide one...

...here's a chapter I wrote a few weeks back...

"Baby, we gotta get to school." Cat barely heard her girlfriend's voice as she shook her awake.

"Just five more minutes." Cat mumbled sleepily.

"Cat, seriously, we're gonna be late and I need to stop and get coffee."

"I'm so tired." Cat complained with a pout.

"Well, whose fault is that?"

"Yours!" Cat replied quickly, sitting up when she sensed Jade's annoyance. "You wouldn't let me sleep last night, every time I tried to pull away from you, you'd pull me back in."

"Well, excuse me for missing you, that breakup was hard on me!" Jade snapped back.

"You didn't miss me, you missed my body." Cat replied with a grin.

"I think saying I missed you implies that I missed your body also." Jade retaliated, reaching out and grabbing Cat's arm, "seriously, babe, I want my coffee. Please get up so we make it to Skybucks before class."

Cat rolled her eyes, but she allowed her girlfriend to pull her out of bed anyway. "Can we go out tonight?"

Jade took a seat on her bed as Cat started to get dressed. "I'm not sure. My mom said something about me needing to watch my brother tonight."

"Oh." Cat frowned, pulling on her clothes, "it's just that we've been back together for a few weeks now, but we haven't really gone on any dates yet." She frowned, slowly turning on her heel.

Jade shrugged, "you could come hang while I watch my brother?"

"That's not the same as a date."

"Look, I know things are still a little weird between us. We can't just move on from everything that happens and pretend like our relationship was never rough, but just because we haven't been on real dates doesn't mean we're not dating."

Cat watched as Jade stood up to grab her jacket. "To me it just feels like we're still on the friendship level."

"Well with what we did last night we must be really good friends." Jade chuckled.

"I'm not joking." Cat told her a little bitterly.

"We're not really gonna fight about this are we?" Jade asked as she stood next to her door.

Cat smoothed out her hair, running a hand through it a few times as she looked her girlfriend in the eye. "You know that that was part of the reason we broke up in the first place." She said. "You always seemed so uncomfortable being with me."

"That's not fair." Jade said, crossing her arms, "I'm working on that, you know how hard this is for me."

Cat frowned, "I know. I didn't mean to upset you, baby, I just can't understand how you feel like what we have is anything less than special."

At that Jade shifted forward, "it's not that simple Cat." She reached out to gently guy Cat's face. "I'm gonna be real honest with you, okay?" Her thumb softly traced her cheek, "I'm not really scared of how everyone around us will react if we were to tell them. They don't bother me anymore." She paused, her eyes staring right into Cat's to guage her reaction. "I am, however, terrified of what my family will think. I've already disappointed them enough I'm not really sure how much more they can take."

Cat watched as Jade's eyes watered, "okay." She said softly, grabbing the hand that was against her cheek and kissing it lightly, "it's okay. I understand. She smiled, "I just thought a date sounded fun."

Jade reached up and wiped a stray tear from her eye before saying, "maybe later this week?"

Cat nodded, "in the meantime, Jetbrew?"

"Yes." Jade returned her smile tugging on Cat's hand, pulling her out into the hallway before dropping her hand as they walked down the stairs of the West's house.

"Good morning girls." Jade's mother greeted as the pair reached the bottom of the stairs in the kitchen. "I've got breakfast."

"Um, actually, we were gonna grab something at Jetbrew." Jade told her.

Cat smiled at her girlfriends mother, "thank you though."

Mrs. West frowned, "okay, but don't forget you're watching your brother tonight…And I don't think Beck should come over this time."

Jade's eyes fell to Cat who glanced back at her confused. "Mom, I already told you Beck and I broke up a few weeks ago."

"Yes, buy you guys break up every other week it seems."

Jade rolled her eyes, "and I told you it was different this time."

"That's what you said the last time Jadelyn. I don't know why you insist on breaking up with Beck, it doesn't get much better than a gentleman like him. He treats you right, gets on well with your family and he's good looking what more could you ask for?"

"It's a little more complicated than that." Jade told her before grabbing Cat's arm and dragging her toward the door, "come on Cat." Cat sent a small wave to Jade's mother before the pair left the house. "I'm sorry about her." Jade said as they reached the car.

"Don't be." Cat said, "I mean, she has a point, Beck is nice and like, physically flawless."

Jade chuckled, "yeah, only thing is, he's not exactly what I want anymore…I adore you Cat Valentine."

"Good Morning 'lil mutants!" Sikowitz exclaimed clamoring into the room with a coconut in hand, fake laughing and then throwing his bag to the side when he got no reaction from the students. "Alright. Now. It's time for bad news."

"They found out coconut juice makes your hair fall out?" Rex wondered.

Sikowitz laughed hard before frowning, "no!" His eyes wandered around the group as he said, "we're going to do an acting excise about giving bad news."

"Why?" Jade asked.

"Why?" The teacher mocked, before he said, "to teach you that acting often involves making choices about how to say things. For example: How to give someone bad news and make it seem not so bad."

Cat raised her hand excitedly, "by telling them in a language they don't understand."

"No, Cat!" Sikowitz said enthusiastically. "Just come up on stage here. Robbie, you too, up up." When Robbie joined Cat on stage their teacher turned to the door, "and now, your partner in this little acting exercise," he pulled open the door, revealing a little kid, "Tanner come in. Everybody, this is Tanner a young boy who lives next door to me."

The class greeted Tanner as Sikowitz directed him to a chair, "here have a seat. All right, Cat and Robbie!" Sikowitz skipped onto the stage to grab something, "here's some random bad news for you to give to Tanner." He handed the pair a card.

"Got it." Robbie smiled, reading the card with Cat.

"Okay."

"Now, improvise a scene where you have to give Tanner that bad news in a way that doesn't upset him." Their teacher directed.

"Um…" Cat stood on her tip toes and leaned in to whisper in Robbie's ear. "We should sing him a song."

"Ooh, that's good!" Robbie agreed. "One sec." He set the card down and snatched the guitar up before turning to Cat "A?" As Cat nodded, Robbie hit the chord on the guitar for a practice run before they shared a note and he started singing:

'This kind of news is always hard to tell someone
I really hope it doesn't break your heart
But somebody ran
Yeah somebody ran
A woman or a man
Maybe in a van
Somebody ran over your go-kart'

"And it got crushed!" Robbie cheered.

"It's unfixable!"

"Yes!" Sikowitz cried as the class clapped, "now that's how you give bad news. See the boy is smiling."

"Yeah." Tanner said, "that was really cool. You guys just made that song up right now?"

"Yeah." Cat told him.

"Yeperdoo."

"And now Tanner, this, is for you." Sikowitz said, pushing a box on a dolly forward.

Tanner gasped standing up and grabbing ahold of the steering wheel. "My-my-my go-kart!"

"Sorry." Sikowitz smiled, "at night your parents driveway looks a lot like…mine." He clasped his hands together before he pushed Tanner away, "now, off you go. Scooch along, there's the door. Drive safely."

"Wait." Tori said, "you really ran over the boy's go-kart?"

"Three times." Sikowitz confessed. "I thought it was a raccoon…Take your seats." He directed the two onstage as he took the guitar and placed it to the side. "All right, now lets talk about the new play I'm directing."

"Do I get to star in it?" Jade asked.

"Uh, I think it's my turn to star in one of Sikowitz's plays." Andre glanced at her.

Jade frowned, "why are you talking?"

"I'm just trying to get my-"

"There you see, every time I cast a new play you all get your panties in a pretzel. So this time you people will choose your own roles." Their teacher said as he grabbed a box from the side of the stage and walked over to Andre and Beck. "Andre, pick a role."

Andre grabbed a paper from the box and read his role, "Tommy: ten year-old identical twin brother of Carter." Sikowitz made a few car noises as he walked around the boys and 'parked' next to Beck.

"Beck, pick a role."

Beck licked at his finger before he stuck his hand in the box and grabbed a slip to read, "Carter: ten year-old identical twin brother of Tommy." He glanced at Andre with a smile, "I guess we're twins."

"Then mama's got some explaining to do." Andre joked.

Sikowitz made some more car noises as he rounded Jade who cringed as he landed on her left. "Jade. Pick a role."

Jade reached into the box and pulled out a yellow paper, "uh, Nancy: loving wife of astronaut Walter Swyane." Again Sikowitz made his noises as he shuffled around Robbie who tried to choose a role but was denied as Sikowitz moved past him. "Tori."

The girl snatched at paper with a smile and read, "Astronaut Walter Swyane: husband of Nan—cy…" She trailed off nervously, shooting Jade a look.

"I'm supposed to play her wife!"

"I'll just pick another card." Tori tried moving back to the box.

"No. No!" Sikowitz pulled the box away walking back up on the stage, "my box has spoken."

"Uh, Sikowitz, I think I just heard something move inside the box with the go-kart parts." Andre told him. The whole class turned to look at the box where a raccoon poked it's head out before climbing out of the box and dashing away.

"I knew it!" Their teacher yelled.

Their class carried on a little longer like normal with very few interruptions before the bell rang and the teacher dismissed them from the room. Cat quickly gathered her bag before she caught up with Jade who'd seemed to dash out of the room too quick.

"Hey, wait up." Cat directed.

Jade paused in her steps, knowing Cat was talking to her, allowing the redhead to catch up with her.

"Are you okay?" Cat asked.

Jade frowned, "of course I'm not okay Cat...I just got cast in Sikowitz's play as Tori's wife."

Cat shrugged, "at least you got a part. I'm not even in the play."

"And I wish you were." Jade told her. "But I also wish I wasn't playing Tori's wife."

Cat shrugged, "maybe it won't be that bad," when Jade went to interrupt her Cat shook her head, "no really, just focus on the positive. At least you're not going against her to get a part this time. You're guaranteed a part with this."

"That is the bright side."

They continued around the school, walking out to the Asphalt Cafe, Jade opened the door for her before they continued on their way. "Can I buy you lunch?"

"You know I'll never turn that down." Cat giggled.

Jade returned with a smile of her own as they walked down to Festus' truck. "What would you like?"

"Um..." Cat glanced at the menu, clutching the straps of her backpack before she said, "I'm thinking a salad...wait! No! nachos."

Jade chuckled looking up to Festus, "you got that?"

"Yes, buddy." The food truck guy said, "for you?" He asked.

"I'll take the taco." Jade replied

Festus stepped back into his truck to fetch their food, coming back within a minute and handed them each a container with the food they ordered. The girls thanked him for the food and Jade handed him some money before they turned away from the truck.

"Can we eat by ourselves?" Cat asked. "I just wanna spend time with you."

"Of course baby." Jade replied easily as they passed a few tables, finally reaching one away from most of the others so they'd have a little more privacy. Jade sat down first sliding her food on the tabletop, watching as Cat slipped her backpack off and sat beside her girlfriend.

Cat flipped the lid off of her nachos and grabbed a chip, crunching into it as she glanced at Jade. "Talk a little more about the play...other than being Tori's wife you're excited are you not?"

"I am excited." Jade agreed, "it's actually been a while since I've starred in a play, especially one of Sikowitz's so I'm so down for that...but Tori is really gonna annoy me." She flipped open her lid and grabbed her taco to start munching.

Cat shrugged, "but you'll do it." She said.

Jade finished her bite before saying, "I honestly don't know...maybe I can get Tori to back out."

"You know that won't happen." Cat said.

"Well, maybe she'll trade with someone else...like Andre."

"Also not likely."

Jade looked at her, "I don't want to be Tori's wife."

"Well, that's good, cause I want you to be mine." As soon as the words fell from her mouth Cat's eyes widened, "wait...I didn't mean to say that."

Jade watched her closely before she asked, "shall we ignore it?"

"Please." Cat said softly before she grabbed another nacho and continued to eat.

Jade didn't say anything else about it as she ate her own lunch. They were quiet for a few more minutes before Jade said, "I liked your song earlier...would've been better without Robbie. But it was likable."

"I couldn't have done it without Robbie." Cat said, "but thank you."

"You definitely could've done better without Robbie, but I understand where you're coming from."

"I don't understand your problem with Robbie. He's a nice guy."

"But he's weird."

"Well, don't you think nice cancels out weird?" Cat wondered.

Jade glanced at her, "...um only when it comes to you."

Cat giggled for a second before she said, "what's that supposed to mean?"

Jade chuckled, "nothing, baby, I love you."

"I love you too," Cat said, taking a drink of her water, "can you please not bash on Robbie though, he's my friend."

Jade rolled her eyes, but it was lighthearted, "I'll do my best." She told her just as the bell for the next class was ringing.

The couple slid off of their seats, grabbing their trash and pitching them in the trash before stepping into the school. "I gotta stop by my locker and get to the Blackbox, so I'll see you later, okay."

Cat frowned, "you're class is in Blackbox today? I thought you'd be across the hall from me."

"Normally, but we're doing some lighting skills and set designs...we've got like a skills test today."

"Well darn."

Jade laughed, "it's not like it actually makes a difference. We're not in the same class."

Cat shrugged, bidding Jade a goodbye, before she turned toward the voice which had been calling her from behind. "What's up, Robbie?" She smiled, while they chatted by the stairs.

The boy smiled, "I just wanted to say I missed you at lunch."

"What do you mean?" Cat asked, "I was at lunch."

Robbie shrugged, "yeah, but you didn't sit with me and Tori today."

"Jade didn't want to sit with Beck." Cat replied smoothly.

"I figured." Robbie nodded, "they're not on the best terms still, they kinda fight sometimes."

"That'll never change." Cat giggled, lying because she knew they were fine with each other.

"It's still weird though, them not being together."

Cat only shrugged.

"Anyway...I was thinking...I mean only if you want to-maybe you'd like to-"

"Hey." Andre interrupted them, "hey, you guys. Can you do me a big favor?"

"What's going on?" Robbie said.

"What is it?" Cat wondered.

"Okay, see I borrowed Beck's car cause I needed to take my grandma to the doctor."

"Yeah." Robbie confirmed.

"Well she got scared and wouldn't go so the doctor told me to bring him a cup of her—uh—you know—liquid."

Cat spaced out turning to Robbie, "what?"

"I uh—I think he means her urine." Robbie cringed as Cat gasped.

"Yeah, when I took a sharp left the cup of uh—grandma spilled all over the front seat."

"All right, I've got rubber gloves and sponges in my locker I guess I'll just-"

"No, no I just want you to tell Beck what happened."

"Why us?"

Andre shrugged, "cause it's bad news and in class today you guys made bad news sound not so bad."

"Oh, okay." Cat smiled.

"Yeah, we'll tell Beck for ya." Robbie agreed.

"Cool." Andre nodded. "Cool. He's over there." He pointed over to Beck who was leaning against the wall on his phone, bouncing on his feet momentarily before quickly dashing away.

"I'll fetch my guitar." Robbie said with a smile.

Cat let out a giggle, "fetch." She said quietly as she followed.

Robbie ended up going down the hall and stepping into one of the music rooms in the bottom half of the school. "I'm so glad I had a music class after Sikowitz today." Robbie grinned, "it made my guitar that much closer."

"What a lucky day." Cat giggled.

Robbie placed the strap over his shoulder after grabbing his guitar from the room. "Shall we just roll with it?"

"Yeah, improv just like in class." Cat nodded, "it was so much fun."

"Okay." Robbie strummed a few chords on his instrument before he said, "borrowed car, doctor, grandma urine." He glanced to Cat his smile still in place, "let's do this thing!"

"Hi." Cat greeted when she and Robbie reached Beck.

"Hey guys." He smiled, looking back to his phone.

"We have a song." Robbie told him.

Beck looked back up with a smile stashing his phone away as Cat said, "for you!"

Robbie strummed a chord and they harmonized a hum before Robbie started the song.

'Hey mister Beck
Your life's going swell
Now here's some news
That's not so fun to tell

Oh

Now Andre'd like to thank you for the use of your car
But something icky happened and it's kind of bizarre
His grandmother peed in a clear plastic cup
Andre put it in your car and then he started it up
And now comes the bad part

He was on his way to the doctor and he took a sharp turn
The cup fell over and spilled all the urine
Sixty-four plus nine equal seventy-three
But please don't feel bad now that your car smells like pee
Cause you're still good looking'

"Well," Beck frowned, "I'm not thrilled about the urine in my car. But I liked your song so I'm okay with it." He shared before pushing away.

Cat giggled, "that was really fun."

"Yeah." Robbie agreed as they jumped together, "maybe we should makeout sometime?"

"Haha, Robbie you're so gross." Cat smiled pushing his shoulders and pinching his cheeks before she dashed away.

"I can't work with her!" Tori was saying as she rounded the corner. "This is ridiculous."

"Hey Tori!" Cat said, stopping Tori in her footsteps.

"Ugh!" Tori growled.

Cat frowned, "are you okay?"

"Just peachy." Tori snapped, when she caught sight of Cat's eyes her own softened, "I'm just so upset about the casting of Sikowitz's play."

"Why?"

"Really?" Tori quirked an eyebrow.

"Right, Jade being your wife." Cat said.

"Yeah."

Cat shrugged, "why's it such a big deal? You guys are both actress's so it should be easy."

"It would be easy if Jade would just accept how the casting has happened." Tori rolled her eyes, "she's still making such a big deal about me being cast as her husband, if she would just ignore that it's me and move on I think this play could turn out really well."

"Well you can't just put all the blame on Jade, I know you're not psyched about the casting either."

"That's true, but I'm willing to put forth the effort to try and work with her."

"So just find a way to work on your chemistry."

Tori nodded, "we're going to."

"Okay, good."

"Yeah." Tori stared at her for a few moments longer before she asked, "did you need something else?"

"I didn't need to talk to you in the first place." Cat giggled, "I just wanted to say hi."

"Okay." Tori nodded before she side stepped, causing Cat to side step with her, "um...Cat?"

"Whaty?"

"Can you let me by?"

"Oh," Cat nodded, "I wanted to know if you'd seen Jade?"

Tori frowned, "have you not been listening, I just came from the Blackbox where Jade and I were doing our skills tests for class and she wouldn't stop pestering me about Sikowitz's play."

"Oh, is she still there?"

"I don't know!"

"Kay kay." Cat said cheerily before she stepped backward and motioned for Tori to pass her, "see you later!"

"Cat!"

"Whoa!" Cat startled at the sound of her name, "hey, Trina, what's up?"

Trina marched over to her, "I gotta ask you a favor."

"What's that?"

Trina glanced around before she said, "there's this kid...he's like a freshman or something...and he stinks."

Cat's brow furrowed, as she grabbed the straps of her backpack, "okay?"

Trina nodded, crossing her arms, "well, see his name is Jack...and when I say he stinks I mean he actually stinks."

"Why are you telling me this?"

Trina shrugged, "I was kind of thinking maybe...well I heard about you and Robbie singing bad news to some people so I thought maybe you'd be willing to tell Jack he stinks through song?"

Cat sighed, "I mean...I can try...I'll have to find Robbie."

"I'm not the only one who thinks he stinks either." Trina continued, "Kiera, Avery and Mr. Dawson think he does too."

"Okay," Cat said, "you really don't have to tell me anymore...I'll see what I can do."

This was kind of ridiculous, all she wanted to do was find Jade, now it seemed like she needed to retrace her steps and find her friend all over again so she could find this Jack kid and tell him he smelled...

...what is her life right now?

"Cat!"

The redhead startled at the voice before she turned around. "Principle Helen?"

"...I have a kind of weird favor to ask from you."

"...Okay." Cat was kind of scared.

The principle glanced around before stepping a little closer to the girl causing Cat to take a step back. "Here's the thing...there's this kid who goes here...he's kind of big. Scary even. To be honest he scares me a bit."

Cat frowned, "okay."

"I need you and Robbie to-"

"No." Cat interrupted, "I've already got something booked for today, can't you just-"

Principle Helen held up her hand, "I'll give you three extra credits in whatever class you choose." She told her, "any recommendations for anything you want...this kid is too intimidating."

Cat thought it over for a moment before she hummed, "who is it?"

"Randy Bronson."

"No!" Cat shook her head, "no. Whatever it is you want the answer is no."

"Passing grades no matter how badly you're failing."

How is it that the principle of the school is too scared to confront a student. So scared that she's willing to give Cat whatever she wants just so she won't have to deal with Randy Bronson herself.

"Fine." Cat relented, "what do you need?"

"I just need you guys to tell him that he's failing. Three f's, so he's expelled."

"That's it?"

"Yup."

"And I get a passing grade, no matter how bad I'm actually doing in class?"

"Yes."

"Okay."

Randy Bronson was huge, he was kind of a bully around Hollywood Arts, and he was definitely scary, but Cat really needed that passing grade in Special Effects design cause she was definitely not passing that class and that was for sure.

She sent Robbie a text telling him to meet her in the hallway with his guitar because she had gotten them two more gigs. And the boy was excited beyond belief about the fact that they had two more songs to do.

"We should really turn this into a business." Robbie had said, as they were walking along the hallway to find Randy. "We could make some serious bank if we started charging."

"Maybe." Cat said when she caught sight of Randy. "Okay, there he is...are you ready?"

"No." Robbie shook his head.

"Me neither." Cat responded truthfully before she called for Randy's attention.

"What?" They boy replied with his deep voice.

Seriously this guy did not look like he belonged in high school.

"W-we have some news." Cat responded in a shaky voice, "for you."

"What?" He responded again.

Instead of responding Robbie just started to strum his chords.

'You got three F's now you gotta go home
See Mister Randy you gotta go home
Hollywood Arts ain't made for losers
And you sir are a snoozer

Principle Helen says you gotta go home

Yeah Mister, yeah mister, yeah mister Randy
You got three F's now you gotta go home
Hey-a, mister Randy man
You scary, Randy Bronson
You got three F's now you gotta go home'

Cat and Robbie slowly backed away as Randy turned on them before they turned to dash out of the building.

We're going out tonight!
-Cat

"What do you think we should sing?" Robbie questioned, strumming his guitar.

"What?" Cat asked, pulling her attention away from her phone, where she was still waiting for a reply from her girlfriend.

"For our bad news." Robbie said again, "where should we start?"

"I don't care." Cat said, before glancing at her phone which had finally buzzed with a reply.

Baby, I can't. I'm sorry.
-Jade

Cat frowned, it seemed like Jade was pushing her away.

Why now?
-Cat

At least this time it didn't take long for Jade to reply.

Sikowitz is making me and Tori meet him at Nozu.
-Jade

"…And I just can't help but feel like you're not really into it." Robbie's voice caught her attention.

Cat glanced back up to him, "what'd you say, I'm sorry."

Robbie frowned, "Cat…why aren't you paying attention to me?"

"I'm sorry, I've just got more important things to deal with right now."

"Well, what about our song?"

Cat rolled her eyes, "oh my God, Robbie, I don't care about our stupid song!" When she caught sight of her friends dejected look she backtracked, "I'm sorry…I-I didn't mean it like that. I'm just…I've got a lot on my mind right now, and this song thing is just kind of in my way."

"If you didn't want to do it anymore that's all you had to say." Robbie said his tone sour.

"I don't—that's not what I meant." Cat said. "Look, let's just find Jack and we'll just wing it."

Robbie shrugged, "you think that's the best idea?"

"We did pretty good in Sikowitz's class. And it's not like we completely rehearsed Beck's song." Cat's phone buzzed again, causing her to glance back to her message.

I promise we'll go out tomorrow. Anywhere you want. We'll do anything you want. Please don't be mad at me. I love you.
-Jade

Reading that message caused Cat to frown. Why did Jade think she was mad at her? She clicked into the conversation she was having with her girlfriend and realized that in the past ten minutes Jade had texted her three other times.

I know I keep pushing back plans, but I swear this isn't on me. Sikowitz is making us go.
-Jade

This isn't like last time, I swear I'm not too scared to go out in public with you. I think Sikowitz might actually fail us if we don't show up to Nozu to meet him. Please don't ignore me. I'm really sorry.
-Jade

Cat?
-Jade

Cat sighed, now Jade was freaking out, that's definitely not what she wanted. She knew how insecure Jade could get in relationships and the fact that Cat hadn't replied to her immediately like normal had definitely boosted her normal insecurities.

"Hey, there's Jack." She barely registered Robbie's voice while she clicked her screen to reply to Jade.

I'm not mad at you. I was just talking with Robbie and hadn't looked at my phone. I look forward to tomorrow, be prepared for the best date of you life!...also I'm taking you to Nozu tonight I need to at least see you once today.
-Cat

"Cat!" Robbie called over his shoulder, catching Cat's attention. She slipped her phone away before she joined him in the middle of the hallway with Jack.

"What's going on?" The boy asked nervously.

Robbie smirked, "shall we?" He glanced to his friend.

Cat gigged, "three, two…" She counted down and Robbie began strumming on his instrument.

'Ooh, Jack
Hey mister Jackson
We've had some complaints recently
About someone being smelly
And the sad news is that it's you

Yeah buddy it's you
Swear it's the truth

There was Kiera, Avery and Mr. Dawson
Don't forget Trina!

They didn't want to hurt your feelings, honest
Well all except Trina (seriously she doesn't care)
Didn't know any way to tell ya

Someone's been a little smelly
And it's you
Yeah buddy it's you
Swear it's the truth
And…

We don't mean to make you feel sad
But sometimes you smell really bad'

"Wow, um, I'm bummed that people think I smell. But good song." Cat smiled at the boy.

"Just try taking more showers."

"I'll do it!" He grinned. Cat sent him away with a wave."Hey, that wasn't that bad." Robbie laughed after Jack had walked away.

"I told you winging it would work." Cat smiled before she pulled her phone back out, figuring Jade had replied to her last text.

You saw me this morning. And we see each other all the time at school.
-Jade

Cat found herself smiling.

It's not enough, I wanna kiss your face!
-Cat

"Whoa!"

Cat's eyes jumped to Robbie who had been looking down at her phone as well, "Robbie!" She shrieked jumping back a little and hugging the phone to her chest.

Robbie eyed her, "I'm sorry." He said quietly.

Cat's eyes were wide as she stared at him.

"I shouldn't have been reading it, I know that." He said quickly, "I didn't know you and Jade were…I mean I knew you had feelings for her…I just thought maybe…I don't know." He finished kind of quietly.

"I have to go!" Cat said quickly.

"Wait! Cat!"

She didn't wait though, she charged through the hallways brushing past so many students along the way. "Cat, wait." Robbie said again, chasing her down to the Blackbox theatre. "Please."

"What?" Cat asked, turning around to look at him. "What do you want?"

Robbie sighed, taking a step back from her harsh tone. "I just—I didn't know."

Cat shook her head, "you knew how I felt about her."

"Well, yeah, but, I didn't know she felt the same."

"She doesn't want everyone to know."

Robbie frowned, "and is that how you want it too?"

"Just stop."

"What?"

"I love her." Cat told him. "I may be comfortable with everyone knowing about us, but she's not ready. At least not right now and I've learned to accept that. It may be hard but it's worth it because I do love her."

"How is that fair for you?"

Cat shrugged, "how is it not? I still get to be with her, that's what's important right now. That's what matters."

Robbie sighed, "I just don't get it. If she really loved you the way you clearly love her there should be no hesitation with showing you."

"She shows me everyday." Cat argued softly. "You might be trying to be a good friend right now Robbie, but I'm very happy with Jade. She loves me and I don't have any doubt about that." Not anymore. She raised her eyes to look into his, "you might not support it, but please respect it."

"So what have you decided to do tonight?" Jade wondered as she and Cat walked out of her house.

"I don't really have any plans." Cat said. "I'm really hoping this thing at Nozu doesn't last long...then maybe we could hang out for a bit."

"Honestly, I would love nothing more." Jade replied, climbing into the car.

Cat got into the passenger side and her eyes fell on her girlfriend, "does this still count as me taking you if you're the one driving?" She giggled softly.

"Sure it does." Jade said with a chuckle, as she started her car and pulled out of the driveway.

The drive to the restaurant was relatively quiet in the beginning before Jade finally spoke back up as they reached a red light, "so Beck told me about the song you sang to him."

"Did he?" Cat asked, playing with her hair.

"Yeah. You and Robbie really are doing this bad news thing huh?"

Cat shrugged, "well, it was fun in Sikowitz's class, and Andre really couldn't think of anyway to tell Beck about his car...so we figured we could help."

"And someone told me about the song you sang to Jack."

"It's fun." Cat said again. "Robbie and I make a great team."

Jade peered over at her for a quick second as she started driving again, "can I be honest?"

"Of course." Cat encouraged.

Jade sighed, "I'm just not sure how comfortable I am with you and Robbie hanging out so much."

Cat looked at her, "that's not fair."

"I'm just being honest."

"Well, what if I told you I wasn't comfortable with you and Beck hanging out all the time?" Cat shot back. "What would your response be?"

"That's different." Jade told her.

"How so?...You and Beck used to date."

"Emphasis on the used to, Cat. Robbie has a major crush on you."

"And you know how I feel about him, so nothing will happen."

"He could still try." Jade shot back.

Cat frowned as Jade pulled into the parking lot of Nozu, "Robbie is one of my best friends, you can't just ask me not to hang out with him because of some silly little crush."

Jade cut her car off before she nodded, "okay, I won't ask you not to hang around him. But I will ask you to tell me if he tries something with you okay? This relationship didn't work out last time because we weren't open with each other, there wasn't enough communication...I want it to be different this time."

"Okay." Cat agreed.

Jade leaned over and gave her a quick kiss, "So I'm gonna go in and get this thing over with, I'll try to be fast so you won't have to wait long...You wanna hit the mall while I see Sikowitz?"

Cat glanced across the street at the mall before she said, "yeah, okay...just try not to take too long you know how I am with shopping."

Jade chuckled, "yeah, I do." She leaned back in to give Cat a quick peck on the cheek before she said, "I'll be as quick as I can."

"Kay kay."

Cat watched Jade slide out of her car before she sauntered into the restaurant before she shifted in the car, pushing the passenger door open and climbing out of the vehicle. She glanced back toward Nozu, debating on going in to surprise Tori and Sikowitz before she decided to just venture across the street to the mall.

Cat climbed out of Jade's car and began to make her walk toward the mall across the street, although it was a beautiful night out, luckily the traffic wasn't so bad that she couldn't make it across the highway without too much trouble.

She wasn't really sure what she was going to do at the mall until Jade got done in Nozu, because as much as she wanted to go shopping and buy a bunch of things she couldn't, she was still in some trouble with the whole Skystore fiasco and her parents were still making her pay that off.

And honestly window shopping was never any fun for her, seriously, why look if you cannot touch?

Finally reaching the mall Cat decided she'd venture into the Skybucks that was there and order herself a latte, she thought between the time it took for her to order her drink and drink the hot beverage while she wandered around the mall hallways Jade would probably be n\done in Nozu and they'd be free to be on their own for a little while.

"Hi, welcome to Skybucks," one of the barista's greeted with a bright smile, "what can I get for you today?"

Cat was surprised she was greeted as soon as she entered the door, normally Skybucks was a lot busier than they were right now.

"Um…" Cat hummed, glancing up at the menu. "There's so many choices!" The barista gave her a small smile, nodding along with Cat's enthusiasm. Cat continued staring the menu before she said, "can I get the icy mocha please?…Ooh and a chocolatey chip brownie."

"Okay, so…that'll be about $5.89."

Cat nodded along, handing over the ten dollar bill that was in her pocket before getting her change and stepping aside to wait for her order. She pulled her phone out to check a few things on her Slap page, realizing that she'd missed a text from her girlfriend.

It looks like we're not gonna be able to hangout tonight. Sikowitz is making me and Tori stay here until closing time or else we're getting a failing grade for the semester.
-Jade

Cat frowned, clicking into the message to reply back.

Aww…that's okay, I guess, there's always tomorrow.
-Cat

I'm sorry.
-Jade

"Here you go." The barista caught her attention and after grabbing her order Cat made her way back out into the mall hallways, trying to decide on which store she should go to first or if she should just change her mind and go home. She didn't live too far away so she could walk home easily, and if need be she could just take the bus. Cat munched on her brownie slowly strolling through the mall, just enjoying her food and sipping on her coffee, while window shopping.

It wasn't long into her window shopping that she got another text, only this time it was from Robbie and not Jade.

We got another request for bad news. This time it's from some guy Seth, he had a date with Trina, but he's decided to cancel and he doesn't want to be the one to break it to her.
-Robbie

Okay…well, I'm at the mall right now if you want to come by and get me.
-Cat

She really didn't want to do another bad news song today, she's already done a few and she kind of just wanted a break from it…doing it away from school felt kind of strange too.

Cat awaited Robbie's arrival outside the mall before the pair of them proceeded to the Vega household. Robbie had tried to make conversation, but Cat wasn't really in the mood to talk to him, especially after everything he had said about Jade and their relationship. She was still kind of mad at him even if she chose to not really show it.

"Okay." Robbie said as he shut his car off, "here we are."

Cat glanced up to the house before she smiled, "are you ready?"

"Ready as I'll ever be." Robbie said. "You know she's gonna be mad."

"She always is." Cat replied before she unbuckled and moved to climb out of the car.

"Cat wait," Robbie reached out and grabbed her arm, pulling her attention back to him. "I just wanna apologize for the way I acted earlier…you were right it wasn't really my business and I shouldn't have tried to interfere. Truth is I'm crazy about you but I know that we'll never be anything…I know you love her, I've always known because you were kind enough to share that with me and I'm being totally disrespectful toward her and you. And I'm sorry."

Cat sighed, "Robbie, I'm sorry that I can't feel the same way about you." But she wasn't really, because she loved Jade with everything and she didn't regret not loving Robbie the way he wanted. "You're a great guy, but you're just not right for me."

"I know. And again, I'm sorry."

"We're always gonna be friends though." Cat told him, "as long as you'll have me anyway."

"Thank you." Robbie said before he motioned toward the house, "shall we?"

"Let's do it." Cat giggled before she exited his car and walked up to the front door with him, waiting for Trina to answer the door.

"Can we come in?" Cat asks as a greeting when she pulls open the door.

"Uh, I guess." Trina said, stepping aside to let them into her home.

"Listen, I-I don't have a lot of time. I have a hot fella picking me up any second."

"Yeah, um about that." Robbie frowned, strumming his guitar, "2, 3."

'Trina
Oh Trina
Yeah Trina
You're staying home tonight

Now Seth he was gonna take you
To a rockin Lakers game
But Seth he started thinking
That hanging out with you was just insane
Just insane now

Now Trina
Oh Trina
Yeah Trina

You're staying home tonight
You're staying home tonight
You're staying home tonight
You're staying home tonight

Cause you've been dumped tonight'

After the song ended Trina snatched the guitar from Robbie and took it outside screaming and crashing it against the ground and the wall before she brought it back inside and handed it to Robbie.

Trina destroying Robbie's guitar had effectively ended the bad news songs he and Cat were doing. But Cat didn't mind that too much, because she seemed to be spending more time with him than Jade recently and she really wasn't one for that. No matter how much he wanted to continue in some way, Cat had denied him.

"Are you ready?"

"I think after that date with Tori I'm completely ready." Jade replied as she slipped into the costume for the play.

Cat pouted, "I still don't like that you're referring to it as a date."

"That's just what Sikowitz called it. I swear it was not real...nor will it ever be real."

"I know, it just feels weird."

Jade finished adjusting her wig, combing a hand through it before she turned to her girlfriend, "I may not like Tori, but I won't lie, she really helped me when it came to that guy."

According to Jade there were these two obnoxious guys who had come into Nozu while she and Tori were eating their meals and continued to hit on them repeatedly even though they had both told them they weren't interested.

Cat kind of wished she had been there to tell them off.

"I just don't like that you had a date with Tori last night when I've tried several times in the past week to get one from you and I've been declined."

"Not declined." Jade corrected, laying her hands to rest upon Cat's shoulders, "just rescheduled, I promise you've got lots of dates from me lined up."

Cat smiled, "I know, I'm just trying to guilt you into buying me pie later."

"I'll buy you pie anytime." Jade told her, "you don't have to guilt me into it."

There was a knock on the door before Beck peaked his head into the room, he was decked out in his own costume, "hey, show starts in five." He said.

"Thanks." Jade shot back before her eyes fell back to Cat. "Wish me luck."

"Break a leg." Cat giggled before she leaned up to place a kiss on Jade's cheek.

"What was that?" Jade questioned, her eyebrow quirked. When Cat didn't respond Jade reached forward and tugged her toward her. "I deserve a proper kiss before I go out there and pretend to love Tori." She said before kissing Cat deeply.

After parting ways Jade said, "love you."

"I love you more." Cat said quickly before they walked out of the dressing area and toward the stage. Cat pecked her one last time on the cheek before she made her way out to watch the play from the audience...

..."Honey, wake up." Jade said softly.

"Blastoff!" Tori jolted awake.

"No." Jade said, "no, you were saying I'm so?"

"Oh." Tori frowned. "Right. You're so good. Gentle. How can you love some sleepy loser like me?"

"You are no sleepy loser." Jade told her, grasping her arm. "You're an astronaut."

"I love you." Tori said.

Jade smiled, "I love you."

The crowd erupted in applause as Tori and Jade pulled away from each other grasping hands and taking bow.

"It's them." Jade said in shock, her eyes widening as she noticed something in the audience. "It's them. What do we do?"

"Run." Tori said, "Run Nancy."

"Yes Walter!" Jade cried before they ran out through the back.
