So I got this idea that Doctor Who and Hellboy would make a great crossover fic. I would basically take Doctor Who and inject it into the first Hellboy movie. This is all that I have so far, but if people review and like it, I'll probably write more.
It's almost painfully American. It would just be too hard for me to try and write Rose and Nine's POV as anything other than very Americanized, because if I tried I would just embarrass myself.
I had a wonderful beta for this, named Kiley. She's such a great sweetheart, she promised to stick with me if I continue this.
The TARDIS was lurching and jolting wildly, while the Doctor and Rose held on for dear life. For some reason, all of their adventures started this way. Rose certainly wasn't complaining, though, because this life was much better than living in an apartment with her mom and working in a shop.
In a particularly violent jerk, she was thrown to the ground, and she twisted around to try and see what the Doctor was doing to remedy this situation. His leather jacket stretched over his shoulders as he flung his arms out to flick switches and push buttons, too many switches and buttons to count. While Rose was being thrown about like a rag doll, The Doctor kept his balance as if the world wasn't somersaulting around them. After about ten minutes of being practically useless, Rose shouted, "Doctor, where are we going?" and hoped that she would be heard over the din of travelling through time and space.
He shot her a strange glance, as if surprised to find her on the floor, but didn't stop fiddling with the control panel. Another second passed before he responded, cryptically, "We're headed to the year 1944, on an island off the coast of Scotland."
Rose continued to watch him from her spot on the floor. "It's World War II, then?" She clarified.
"Precisely, but I have no clue what's going on there that's so important that the TARDIS needs to take us there."
Suddenly, the TARDIS shuddered to a stop and Rose slowly got to her feet, obviously quite shaken. He sweater was askew and she held her arms out at her sides, steadying her dizzied stance.
As always, the Doctor was unaffected. "Shall we go figure out why we're needed here, then?"
The sound of rain could be heard steadily pounding on the roof of the TARDIS, and Rose thought back to the rain slicker that had taken up residence under her bed back home in London. She twisted up her hair with a ponytail holder from her wrist in preparation. Lightning crackled threateningly in the distance as Rose answered,
"Might as well, yea."
They stepped out into the rain together, the Doctor's arm thrown across Rose's shoulder to somewhat protect her from the rain, and saw around them dozens of American soldiers, all lead by a man in a trench coat who was handing out rosaries.
Let me know if you like it, and I will write more!
