Unease

Unease.

It dug away at his spark like an itch that wouldn't go away.

As much as he wanted it to be soothed, he knew it wouldn't be any time soon.

Bluestreak pulled himself off of his berth and onto his peds, pacing from one end of the room to the other, frustration building.

Things were going so well.

He had his life back.

He could actually have a peaceful recharge.

But why was this happening? And why now?

It had been vorns, millennia in fact, since he found himself alone.

Something was happening. He could just feel it. He didn't know for sure if his feeling was true, but he just couldn't shake the feeling. The unease. It was wearing him down, tiring him out.

Last time he felt this way, something bad happened.

Bluestreak jolted back, realization hitting him with as much force as if Omega Supreme decided to tackle the Praxian.

Last time he felt this way, his family had been killed.

His optics widened.

Prowl.

Without second thoughts, Bluestreak snatched his favorite riffle that he had been cleaning earlier and bolted from his room, not even making sure the door shut behind him.

Bluestreak ran straight to Prowl's office, knowing the mech was most likely working late again. It wasn't that Bluestreak meant to ignore the few who had been wandering around, it's just he was in a hurry and didn't want to chance anything. It was because of this that he ended up unintentionally getting Jazz, Ironhide, Ratchet and Wheeljack to join him. Each had been on their own various paths, dropping everything to see what was going on.

When Bluestreak and his group made it to Prowl's office, not many were expecting the sight they were greeted with: Prowl, unconscious and tied up, being carried away by a Decepticon.

Everything seemed to go still and quiet, the only movement being Bluestreak raising his weapon, aiming and pulling the trigger.

Bluestreak had been told later on that night that he had saved Prowl from being captured while in his own office. Apparently the older of the two Praxians had fallen asleep at his desk and the Decepticon had chosen that moment to make his move.

Ratchet had forced Prowl to take a few days off after a very long and thorough examination. Jazz made it his duty to make sure that Prowl didn't bring work to his quarters or sneak back to his office.

As for the breech in security, a mech named Red Alert was transferred in to fill the place of Chief of Security. Simply put, the base hadn't been infiltrated since.

As for Bluestreak, after being thanked for his efforts, he could finally relax again, knowing that his mentor was safe from harm.
