Kurumu sighed internally as she looked at Moka and Tsukune talking. His gentle smile didn't reach too far, but it was genuine. He was genuinely happy whenever he was with Moka. That's not to say he wasn't happy to be around her and the rest of their group. But that exact smile was reserved for Moka and Moka alone. How Kurumu wished and wished that he would grace her with that smile, even once. She would do almost anything for that smile to be aimed at her.
Many people, Tsukune included, seemed to underestimate just how important being a succubus' Destined One was. It wasn't just a fancy term for 'boyfriend'. They didn't just mean she wanted to be with Tsukune. It didn't mean she simply lusted after the gentle-faced boy.
It meant that she was utterly, undeniably, irrevocably in love with Tsukune Aono.
She would do absolutely anything for him. For his happiness. She would lie, she would beg, she would steal, she would cheat. She would even kill.
All for him.
People looked at a succubus, and all they saw was a creature of lust and desire. They wouldn't expect one such as her to be capable of loving a single man. They would see how many boys they had surrounding them and think that a loyal relationship with her would be impossible. Once again, they underestimated just what being a Destined One was.
Succubi are creatures of lust. A single person just isn't enough to quell that burning fire deep in their loins. But for a single person, their Destined One, they ruthlessly squashed that fire. For their Destined One, they completely repress the natural instinct that's been with them since they hit puberty. They go against the very thing that makes them succubi just to be with a single person. Kurumu, who has yet to sate that fire that burns between her legs, was more than willing to crush her instincts that were screaming at her to fuck the nearest living thing.
All for him.
But sometimes life was cruel, and happy endings didn't always happen. Tsukune loved a vampire. He loved another sensual creature. One who mated for life, but still had no qualms with sleeping around. One who looks down upon all others with disdain. One who would most likely outlive Tsukune. The sad part was that Tsukune had no idea that vampires don't even mate with monsters that aren't vampires, and though she didn't know what Tsukune was, she was almost certain that Tsukune wasn't a vampire.
But she couldn't bear to destroy that hope he had. She saw it in his eyes. In his smile. That gentle smile that didn't reach too far. That exact smile that he was wearing right now, looking at Moka.
All she wanted was his happiness. So she stuck by him. She smiled, and laughed, and joked around him. She threw herself at him, trying to convey how much he really, truly meant to her. But in the end, all she wanted was for his happiness.
So in the end, even if he didn't choose her, she would be happy for him. She would be alone. She would be miserable. She would never mother the children of this wonderful, amazing man. But for his sake, she would try to be happy.
Because Kurumu loved Tsukune.
She was utterly, undeniably, irrevocably in love with Tsukune Aono.
A/N: I feel like Kurumu doesn't get enough love around here. Cooked this story up in about an hour, so not exactly my A-game, but I'm still proud of it. Criticism is always welcome.
Kinetic, out.
