Revenge is a Dish Best Served Bloody

Hagi

It had been a long evening. Between tracking down Saya and Diva by checking each possible abandoned residence in the area, bringing them home and then taking care of them.

Saya whimpered and I pulled her closer. Her small naked form curled into my chest so close that she was completely enveloped in my embrace. I made love to her for nearly two hours before I finally let her rest. The need to memorize every inch of her skin and remember her presence had completely taken over. The protective male in me wanted nothing more than to care for my mate.

She almost left me. I shivered. I wouldn't have been able to stand losing her. That lowlife made her think that she wasn't worthy to be with me any longer. Once again she thought herself tainted and unworthy of me. Oh how wrong she was.

My thoughts came to a screeching halt when I felt her stir. Her eyes open gently. She looks up at me but doesn't say anything. She doesn't have to. I can feel everything of her through our bond. Instead, I take my wrist to my mouth and bare my fangs. I bite into my flesh, then bring it to her awaiting lips.

She nurses gently from my vein in silence. Her small hands grasp my wrist as she takes small pulls. My blood nourishing her to the fullest.

Once she has her fill, she pulls away and licks at the tiny holes as they heal. I comb my fingers through her hair as we continue to lay there in silence. She traces her fingers along the patterns of skin on my chest. Her eyes downcast while her thoughts wonder. I never take my eyes off her face. Afraid that she might disappear again if I so much as blink.

Several minutes pass before she finally speaks. "I want to see Diva."

Without saying anything I immediately get up from the bed, not once letting her go from my arms, and head for the walk-in closet. She pulls away from me to open a few drawers, settling on a simple t-shirt and skirt. Once I was certain that she wasn't going to disappear, I allow myself to get dressed as well. Picking my usual black attire. Satisfied, I take her hand and we leave the room.

Solomon was waiting for us outside of his chamber. His disheveled appearance made it clear that he and Diva shared a reunion that had been similar to ours.

He greets us with an exhausted smile. Then to Saya, " She wants to see you." She nods once and goes the rest of the way on her own. Once she was out of sight, he turned to me, "How is she?"

I shake my head with contempt. "Tired, afraid, angry. There aren't enough words, brother. There's little doubt that she will need time to heal from this. I'm just relieved that she's home where she belongs."

He sighs loudly and leans his back against the wall. "I remember when you first told me about your dreams of Saya." He paused briefly. "I thought you had gone mad. Becoming celibate for two decades for a girl that you didn't even know, simply because you wanted only her. It didn't make any sense to me. I thought was ludicrous. Even after you brought her here." I waited for him to continue. "But then I met Diva." His lips form into a smile. "I'd always thought of myself as someone who wouldn't want a mate. And I didn't for a long time until I met her. The siren. Taste of the forbidden fruit. I knew from the moment I touched her. We bonded at that very moment."

My brow went up with skepticism. "After all those years of you mocking me and my blue balls?"

He coughed to hide his embarrassment. "I'll admit, it wasn't the best choice of words. But what did I know? Right now, all I want to be with Diva till the end of time."

I want to smile for him, but a thought stops me. "There's something we need to do first."

His eyes bleed red. "James."

My own eyes glow off of his skin. "He must pay."

"Ms. Clarkson has already been dealt with." He told me. "Her body was burned with Rebecca's. I made sure myself."

"Is James still in the dungeon?" I asked.

He nodded. "I want to pay him a visit."

"Get in line."

Saya

I knock on Diva's door with gentle caution. "Diva? It's Saya."

There was a shuffle and I heard her say, "Come in."

Opening the door, I walk in. I worry when I don't see her immediately. But sigh in relief when I see the small bump in the bed and a black patch of fuzz on the pillows.

I take off my shoes then crawl on top of the bed and move toward her. Staying on top of the covers, I lie down next to her.

She rolls over and faces me. Her big blue eyes relaxed while her brows were knitted with concern. "So what happens now?"

My sigh is long and rough. "I assume that Hagi is on his way to murder whoever else was responsible."

"Does he know who it is?"

My shoulders shrug. "I think so. If he does, he hasn't told me. Then again I don't want to know just yet. I'll ask him later. After it's done."

"I agree." She was silent for a few more minutes before opening up again. "Sister?"

Her tone had changed, making my eyes narrow. "Yes?"

Her cheeks flushed to pink. "Solomon asked me to be his mate."

I blinked. "He what?"

She pulled her hand out from under the covers and showed me her wrist. On it, hung a silver-chained bracelet with several sapphires dangling from it. "After we, you know, he put this on me. And asked me to be his. I said yes."

My smile is wide as I pull her into my arms. "I'm happy for you, Diva. I really am."

Solomon and I make it downstairs to out dungeon with determination. Many of the cells were already filled with the lackeys that survived the massacre Saya unleashed in her rage. But they were not the ones I wanted just yet. No. The one I wanted was locked in away in a well protected tomb-like room protected by two armed guards. No window.

"Open the door." I command them. And they silently obey. Solomon and I walk through the threshold. "Close it, and lock it." The door slams shut and the chains and locks are put back on. My eyes narrow at the captive.

There James hung. Hands and feet bound by silver chains as they were spread apart. His head hung lose on his shoulders, clothes ripped and tattered as the hung from him. He didn't even look from his position when we walked in.

No. Instead, he said. "Well it's about time someone came to visit me. But I was expecting someone more pleasant." He finally lifted his head. His eyes almost black and his skin a gristly color due to lack of bleeding. "I was hoping to see Ms. Clarkson. Her warm flesh is greatly missed."

"She's already been dealt with." Solomon spoke up. "She was not only a great party planner, but also a fairly good hacker. We'd discovered through her mobile that she was able to block the transactions you had made with your new friend. But she wasn't smart enough to delete the files from her computer. We almost missed her actually."

I stepped forward. "We almost had her. But she panicked and shifted into a mouse, escaping through the vents. She didn't have the chance dispose of any information before she almost escaped. Almost."

"One of or cats caught her in the garden." Solomon said with a menacing tone. "Took care of her before we could get any more answers. We know because as soon as the cat broke her neck, her body reverted back to its true form. The cat's fine though. Nothing a little blood couldn't fix."

"Such a shame." James muttered. "I had hoped she would've disposed of everything already. But it turns out she was useless after all." He smiled. "Speaking of useless, how are the half breeds? I heard from all the commotion that my friend made good use of them before you came and interrupted the fun."

"You heard wrong, brother." I'd had enough of this.

"Oh?" He seemed intrigued. "Do tell."

My smile was anything but friendly. "His fun was interrupted, make no mistake. But not by me."

"Then who?"

"It was Saya." I hissed.

He scoffed. "Oh, please. I highly doubt that."

"What a shame." Solomon ground out. "Because whatever your friend did to Saya, pushed her over the edge. And it ended badly. For him."

James narrowed his eyes. "What?"

I licked my lips. "Saya, fueled by anger and the need to protect her only sister, went into a blood rage. She went after him and most of his henchmen. All on her own."

"Lies!" He spat. "A halfbreed is incapable of such an attack!"

I chuckled. "Tell that to your friend. By the time we got there, she had already killed more than half of them. I got the satisfaction of watching her as she forced her fist through is torso and ripped out his heart." I took a few more steps toward him and back handed him across the face. "The survivors were so terrified of her that they begged us to bring them in." I leaned in so we were nose-to-nose. "And you know what else I found out?"

He spit at me. "I don't care."

Solomon stepped forward. "Oh but you will. You see, we had been trying to figure out the death of Saya and Diva's parents for a few years now. But for some reason, nothing came up. However, while sweeping through Ms. Clarkson's laptop, we found something interesting. Not only did we find all the emails you had been trading with the black market sales, but it turns out that you've done more than that. Much more."

"We'd found pictures of Rensington and his mate while she was pregnant. Now wasn't that interesting? Then there's the midwife. She had indeed been sent by our house to guarantee the report of their birth. So no one thought anything of it. Turns out, it was you who had sent her to report to us." My eyes narrow. "Then we documents in regarding their legal guardians. They were supposed to live with George, his wife, and three children. But you made sure that it appeared the girls had died in the fire. So they had no idea. You raped Lucinda in-front of Rensington and then killed them both. But you didn't stop there. Oh no, you had to do and burn their house down."

Solomon came up and forced a knife into James' shoulder. "You weren't expecting us to find them. So you got desperate. You heard that Marie was selling Saya to your friend, then we got involved."

"Those filthy things were getting too close to our domain." He defended. "I had to protect our line."

I punched him right in the nose, feeling satisfied with the crunch. "You aren't even apart of this line. Not by blood anyway."

"I did what I had to do so Father and Mother's legacy was kept sacred!" He snapped.

I leaned in. "If they cared so much about legacy, they wouldn't have adopted you. But no, they took you in and loved you regardless of your lack of stature. This is not what they would have wanted."

"I accomplished what I wanted." He muttered. "The little beasts are destroyed. Tainted for good. No way of saving." He smiled. "They belong to him now."

With a roar I forced my hand into his stomach. I grabbed onto the first thing I felt and yanked it out of him. Turned out to be his intestine. He howled in agony as his innards fell to the ground at my feet. "You'll regret the day you were born."

"Save some for me, Hagi." Solomon said, coming up from behind me. His own eyes glowing. "I want my share."

Review please! I know it's been forever again but I hope you guys will forgive me!
