AN: This is a response to the Proud To Be Gryffindor challenge by Anru.

Harry sat on the slowly darkening Quidditch pitch and stared out at the Forbidden forest. After a particularly difficult training session with Angelina, he could really feel every single one of his muscles ache.

"I'm beginning to think Gred and Forge might have been right about Angie," a voice said from behind him and he was suddenly joined by Katie Bell.

"Hi Katie," he said as he looked out at the sunset. "Sunset, it seems very…apt these days, doesn't it?"

"Well that's the thing with sunsets. The sun always returns to rise again," Katie replied as she sat down beside him.

"Yeah, well with Voldemort out there, doing Merlin knows what, it feels a lot like the darkness is here to stay," he said morosely and Katie flinched at the sound of Voldemort's name. "He's out there somewhere and out there he's making his return to power and nobody seems to want to know."

"Yeah, well the Ministry is being a bunch of prats these days and the Daily Prophet's just as bad," Katie snorted. "They'll find out sooner or later."

"Yeah, but when?" Harry asked angrily. "Every day he's growing stronger, I can FEEL it!"

"How longs a piece of string?" Katie replied dryly. "It'll happen when it happens. Not much we can do about that. But I believe you."

"Yeah, well that makes a grand total of maybe four or five people," Harry joked bitterly.

"I think you'd be surprised," Katie replied cryptically and Harry raised an eyebrow. "You might want to be careful with Cho by the way. She was really close to Cedric for a really long time."

Harry blushed and Katie chuckled.

"Oh you've got it bad. Well be careful, she seems to like you too, but she's right messed up. Don't want to see you get hurt by her."

"Thanks for the advice," Harry said as he stood up and turned to walk back into the castle. "Coming?"

"Na, I'll wait here a while longer. Seeya back at the common room," Katie said as she leaned back and watched the last vestiges of sunlight vanish beyond the horizon. Harry smiled and walked away. It was good to know that he wasn't alone.
