A/N: Sorry, sorry, sorry, and sorry! I am soooo sorry for not updating! But this year was not merciful at all with college. I am sorry. I tried to update, I really did, but I never had to the time to even get my head straight to think about the story. But now, it is summer, and I'm free. So now, I can actually update, and I'm updating with a long chapter. Also, hopefully most chapters I make from now on will be equally or more long. So without any further ado, I give you the next chapter of Mummy of Konoha!

Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto; else I would make this story a spin-off of the series.

Hinata and Naruko waited until Kakashi and the others were far away enough to initiate the plan. Luckily they were alone in house since Tsunami went to the town to look for whatever store was still open to buy the much needed groceries and Inari was with her.

"They have made it to the bridge." Informed Hinata while turning off her Byakugan "Can we review the plan one more time?" she turned to Naruko with nervousness written all over her face

Naruko nodded "While 'Zabuza' and 'Haku' distract our teams, you are to head to Gatos mansion. Once there, you'll wait until Gato leaves with his mercenary army, send a clone to inform Zabuza, and then enter. You have two objectives once inside."

Hinata continued "The primary objective is to find where he keeps all his money and take it with me for the people of Wave" Naruko nodded and Hinata continued "and the secondary objective is to set explosion tags around the mansion to blow it up"

Naruko nodded "While you handle that, my task is to help Zabuza and Haku take care of the Mist hunter-nins that have just arrived at the pier. Once that's done, we are to regroup at the bridge."

Hinata nodded nervously. Naruko put a hand on her shoulder. Even though she didn't say anything, Hinata knew Naruko wanted her to calm down. After taking a deep breath Hinata looked at Naruko with a determined expression and Naruko nodded. They then walked outside the house and took off towards their respective tasks.

-At the bridge-

Kakashi and the Konoha shinobi were fighting Zabuza and Haku, or at least trying to, as they couldn't seem to keep up with their movements. The genin were on one end trying to hit Haku who was dodging all their attacks at an amazing speed, even Sasuke with all his speed could just barely keep up with this fake hunter-nin. While Kakashi and Kurenai were on the offensive against an out of character defensive Zabuza, who also had not used any of his jutsus. And even more out of character was that he hadn't even boasted once. Neither of them had spoken sense the battle started. Not even once.

'Something's going on…' Kakashi slashed at Zabuza with a kunai only for him to block with his sword. 'But what?'

Sasuke sent a right hook to the hunter-nin, only for her to grab it with her left hand, spin, while still holding on to take him off balance and send her right elbow to his unprotected face.

"Let's go Akamaru!" Kiba got on the floor and Akamaru jumped onto his back with a bark of agreement. Kiba then formed a hand-sign and said "Man-Beast Clone!"

A puff a smoke later and Akamaru had turned into another Kiba. Together they both started attacking the fake hunter-nin with everything they had.

Shino was staying back, assessing the situation and waiting for the perfect opportunity to give his bugs the command to attack, as he had already made his bugs crawl all over the battlefield. He found the opportunity when the fake hunter-nin sent a high-kick to Kibamaru's face, then sweeped Kiba's feet right under him and followed up with a roundhouse kick to the face.

"Insect Swarm" said Shino as he raised his hand towards the enemy

Suddenly the bugs around the area swarmed around the fake hunter-nin. She tried evading but found that the bugs were already upon her. The bugs then completely encompassed around her and started draining her chakra. From the corner of his eyes, Shino saw Sasuke forming the hand-signs for his fireball jutsu. Shino was about to retract his bugs when suddenly the air around them suddenly turned cold. Sasuke didn't seem to care as he finished his attack and unleashed his fireball jutsu. The massive fireball closed in on the insect trapped hunter-nin and the moment it hit, smoke suddenly piled up. The genin and Sakura, who had done next to nothing, when they started fighting she sent a sloppy fist to the hunter-nin only for her to evade and slam a fist to Sakuras stomach and that pretty much left her out of commission, wondered what made the smoke, except Shino, who was worrying for his bugs, he was pretty much catatonic right now.

Suddenly something shot out of the smoke, which broke Shino from his catatonic state, and they all scattered to evade whatever shot out. Whatever shot out was still following all the genin as they all kept evading. When the barrage ended, the smoke cleared and they saw a pillar of ice and the fake hunter-nin inside. Shino and Sasuke were the first ones to recover from the barrage which Shino saw were small ice spikes. Though Shino, after looking at the closest one to him, fell to his knees and fell forward but used his arms to keep himself from fully falling. His eyes were wide, his throat felt parched, dry, and he felt a pain in his heart, a horrible pain. He lost the strength to keep fighting, he just wanted to stay there and die. Nothing mattered to him anymore because inside those ice spikes…were his insect brethren.

Sasuke and the others were staring at Shino, sweat dropping over his dramaticness.

Suddenly the pillar of ice broke into pieces and the fake hunter-nin was now sporting swords that were connected to her arms. The genin, minus Shino, got ready to fight against the fake nin.

Meanwhile…

"That's the last of it." said Hinata as she sealed away the last of Gatos 'bank'.

Three scrolls; she had three scrolls full of his money. Hinata seethed with anger seeing the amount of money he had, all the money she was sure he already had and the money he had been extorting from Wave.

Hinata opened her jacket and placed the last scroll in one of her inner pockets. Now that she had all the money safely placed inside and had already set the explosion tags, all that was left was to leave and then activate them. She had also already helped the captives that Gato had. Hinata was seething with hate when she saw the practically naked women and little girls held up in cells, all in different stages of malnutrition and torture. She saw that some didn't have an arm or a leg, or no limbs, as in the case of one woman Hinata found and she had pleaded for Hinata to end her life. Hinata had complied with tears in her eyes and ended her life with a quick and painless kunai strike. After that, she had helped all the women out of the building but not before giving them a scroll with clothes, all of which had belonged to Gato. The women had then exited the mansion and Hinata had gone back inside to finish her mission which was finding Gatos loot, which she right now had.

When Hinata exited the she saw all the captives she helped outside the mansion discussing amongst themselves. She spoke with the supposed leader of them, a woman named Suki, and Hinata gave all three scrolls to her and told them to head to the town of Wave where they'd be taken care of. They felt scared of walking all the way there as they might be attacked but Hinata smiled and told them that all the guards around the mansion had already been taken care off. The captives felt relieved and complied, they all headed to Wave as Hinata activated the tags and the mansion went up in flames. She then headed full speed to the bridge where Gato should be just arriving with his army.

At the same time at the docks…

Naruko ducked under a fist from a mist hunter-nin and sweeped kicked him. The nin though jumped back to evade the attack and rushed forward sending a kick towards Naruko's face who caught with her left hand. Naruko then slammed her right elbow on the hunter'nins knee and broke his leg. The nin let out a yell of pain and Naruko took that opportunity to grab her opponent by the neck and snap it, killing him instantly. Naruko then saw two more hunter-nins fighting Zabuza and Haku. Zabuza had 7 dead hunter-nins around him; Haku had five while Naruko had 10. She then saw another hunter-nin rush towards her, this one and the one fighting Zabuza and Haku were the last ones left.

The hunter-nin that was rushing to Naruko formed hand-signs and shouted

"Water style: Water Dragon!"

A massive dragon made entirely of water suddenly rose from the sea and headed to Naruko and the hunter-nin formed another set of hand-signs as he closed in on her.

"Water Style: Water Prison!" The hunter-nin finally made it to her and pressed a palm to her forehead. Naruko didn't even try to evade as suddenly she was encased in a bubble of water as the water dragon got closer. The hunter-nin then started distancing himself from the area were his dragon was about to hit but was holding a whip made of water that was connected to the bubble so as to hold it together.

Haku jumped over her opponent and started forming hand-signs. She landed and pressed her palm to the hunter-nins back before he could turn around and suddenly ice grew from the floor and started encasing his whole body in a matter of seconds. Haku removed her hand from the ice and when the man was completely encased in ice, she made more hand-signs with her right hand and a hammer of ice appeared in her left hand. She gripped the hammer with both hands and smashed it against the ice, completely destroying it and sending frozen gore bits everywhere.

Haku then turned to look at Zabuza and saw he had also finished his opponent and turned to Naruko just as the water dragon closed in for the kill.

Zabuza and his opponent were engaged in a sword fight. Both skilled swordsmen but Zabuza proved to be more adept. Zabuza slammed his sword against his and pushed him a few feet away with one swipe. Zabuza then threw Kubikiribocho into the air as he went through a set of hand-signs. When he was finished, the hunter-nin was already upon him and with one fast swipe, severed Zabuza's head from his shoulders only for his severed head to smirk and his body turn to mist and encase the man. He never knew what happened as he was split in two right down the middle by Zabuza, who suddenly appeared behind him and used the momentum from Kubikiribocho's descent with one arm to make a clean, instant cut. He put his sword away just as the hunter-nins two halfs fell right and left. He turned to Haku to see she had just summoned her ice hammer and Naruko who was suddenly encased in a prison of water.

The water dragon opened its maw and slammed against the water prison with incredible force. The hunter-nin smirked before he felt something on his neck. He knew what that was, it was a kunai. He turned his head slightly to see who caught him by surprise and was shocked to see it was the same red headed mummy girl he could have sworn was trapped in his water prison. He looked towards the attack and groaned when he saw a log instead of the girl who was behind him. He couldn't believe he got tricked by the lamest trick in the book. Suddenly the girl slapped something on his neck and he felt a very painful burning sensation. Then she removed whatever it was and he fell forward and he then felt another thing hit his neck and he slumped over in unconsciousness.

Zabuza and Haku saw Naruko pulling out a seal tag from her beltband and slap it onto the hunter-nins neck. The tag glowed and smoke rose from it. Then a few seconds later the tag stopped glowing and Naruko removed it from the neck of the hunter-nin and they saw the same seal on the tag was now burned onto the hunter-nins neck. The mark suddenly disappeared disappeared and the next moment the hunter-nin fell on his knees and Naruko sent a well placed chop to his neck and he fell forward, most likely to unconsciousness. Zabuza walked forward and summoned chakra rope and tied the hunter-nin up, then picked him up and went over to a tree and tied him, upside down, to the tree.

"Zabuza-sama, is it really necessary tying him upside down?" asked Haku

Zabuza just looked at her "Nope, I just want to."

Haku sweat dropped in response.

Zabuza finished tying the hunter-nin upside down and gave him one good boot to the head to make sure he was knocked out.

When he looked back he saw Naruko standing next to Haku, with her head tilted to the side.

"Why did you hit him?" she asked

"Making sure he was perfectly unconscious" he said with a shrug of his shoulders

Naruko simply nodded.

"Zabuza-sama, Naruko, we should head to the bridge now." Spoke Haku

Zabuza nodded and they all headed to the bridge.

At the bridge…

Kakashi and Kurenai were panting while wondering how much longer this is going to go on. Kurenai had even used her strongest genjutsu on him, and just like all the others, no effect, and this Zabuza was perfectly capable of keeping up with both of them. Kakashi was even using his sharingan and even with THAT they still couldn't get the upper hand.

The genin weren't faring much better. Shino was still going emo, Sakura was just stuck to the floor with ice spikes keeping her there, Kiba, Akamaru and Sasuke were already getting exhausted and their opponent still looked like she hadn't broken a sweat. Sasuke couldn't understand why, even with everything he's done this week, even with all the training, he could barely keep up and he had already most of his chakra.

'Dammit why!? Even with all the training Kakashi has given me why can't I keep up!? This bitch is nothing compared to me, compared to an Uchiha elite, so why can't I win!"

-Flashback-

The first day of training after Kakashi asked Sasuke to come with him.

They walked until they made it to a new clearing, not as big as the first one, but perfect for what Kakashi was going to do.

Kakashi turned around and addressed his student "Sasuke, I have a proposition for you"

Sasuke semi-turned to Kakashi "What is it?"

"How would you like me to train you?" asked Kakashi with an eye smile

Sasuke gave Kakashi his attention "What do you mean? Aren't you training us now?"

"No no, not that, what I mean is take you up as my student and teach you personally whenever time permits."

"Why?"

Kakashi wondered what he meant "What do you mean?"

"Why do you want to suddenly train me? What are your reasons behind this?" asked a skeptical Sasuke. Not that he wasn't about to turn it down no matter what his reasons are, it is free training. And that will lead him one step closer to awakening his Sharingan and that will get him closer to his revenge.

"Oh that, well its nothing to big, I just realized that you have potential to be a powerful shinobi, I want to help you achieve it, besides…" his face turned serious "Don't you want to defeat Naruko and show her who is truly the strongest?"

Sasuke had a momentary surprise before it was replaced with a smirk "So you finally realized how good I am? Fine, I accept"

Kakashi held up a hand, indicating to Sasuke to listen "Before that, you must swear you will not tell anyone of this"

Sasuke nodded "Fine I swear, now what?"

Kakashi nodded and eye smiled "Now you're going to get better chakra control, so keep climbing that tree" he pointed to the nearest but one of the highest trees in the area "Until you can climb to the top without any problem, without using your hands. After that, we'll work on improving your hand-sign speed and ninjutus."

Sasuke nodded and started his training.

-Flashback end-

'Even with all that training and yet nothing!'

He had used all the jutsus in his arsenal only for them to be dodged, blocked, or thrown back at him, even his phoenix flower jutsu was reduced to a pretty fire light show by the ice shinobi.

Suddenly the fake hunter-nin moved in front of them and started doing more hand-signs that humanly possible. When she finished a huge gust of wind picked up and surrounded the genin and the fake hunter-nin. When they wondered what she was doing they saw a cloud of arrows falling right on them and the wind barrier was deflecting them all back.

Kakashi and Kurenai saw the arrow cloud heading their way too and just before they jumped to safety, Zabuza appeared between them and formed the same hand-signs and the gust of wind picked up and engulfed them in a barrier.

All the Konoha shinobi had the same thought, except Shino who was still grieving his loss.

'Why are they protecting us?'

Sasuke soon got over it, seething with anger out of having to be protected by his enemy.

When the arrows finished coming down, the barriers dropped and they all turned to the other side of the bridge where Gatos mercenary army was, plus Gato himself.

Gato looked at all the shinobi on the bridge and smirked.

"Zabuza and his little pet betrayed us? Not a problem since I was going to kill you after the job was done anyway." He turned to his army "Men, kill them all, but not the women, if you catch my drift" he started chuckling

All the mercenaries stared with lustful smiles and eyes to the girls and Sakura was terrified while Kurenai felt disgusted and Haku just did nothing.

Then, when all the men were about to charge, a white and red blur suddenly appeared between them and the shinobi. When they got a clear look, they saw it was a girl wrapped in bandages with long red hair.

"Oh good, another young morsel for us to ravage huh, guys?" said one of the mercenaries and he licked his lips as the others agreed.

Then another person landed next to Naruko, a girl with pupil-less lavender eyes, sending a murderous glare at the group.

"OOOOHHHH! A Hyuuga! Must be my lucky day!" exclaimed an ecstatic Gato thinking of all the money he would get for selling her off, "Kumo will pay handsomely for a Hyuuga, MEN!" He addressed his men once again "None of you even DARE do ANYTHING to that Hyuuga, she must be in excellent condition if we want Kumo to pay us millions for her, UNDERSTAND!?" he exclaimed

"YES SIR!"

Hinata truly felt utterly disgusted.

"Naruko, may I please fight with you?" she asked, barely keeping her voice calm, clearly wanting to vent out her disgust, anger and hatred for this man.

Naruko nodded.

Hinata smiled and unzipped her jacket to have more flexibility; she took it off and tied the arms around her waist. After making sure it was secure, she took a stance.

Kurenai knew what she was about to do, but before she could order Hinata to stand down, someone spoke.

"You might not want to do that, Genjutsu Mistress."

She turned to the voice and saw another Zabuza with his sword through the Zabuza her and Kakashi had been fighting against.

"What the…" he then saw the one they'd been fighting turn to blood. "A blood clone!" he turned to their team and saw another fake hunter-nin behind the one their teams were fighting, that one too turned to blood. He then turned to Zabuza "You know the blood clone jutsu?"

Zabuza put his sword on his back and chuckled "Nope, but your little mummy definitely does."

Kakashi's eyes widened at this.

"Zabuza, what did you mean before?" asked Kurenai

Zabuza turned to her and gave a small chuckle "Don't worry, your little genin will be perfectly fine, it's the mercenaries that should be worried, rather, they should be on their knees begging for mercy."

Kurenai narrowed her eyes at Zabuza and turned to Hinata.

Hinata activated her Byakugan without hand-signs.

Naruko then made a hand-sign and all the supposed dead workers suddenly blew up taking out a few of Gato's men.

'Explosive clones!? That's HIS jutsu, how the hell does she know that!" though Sasuke

Hinata then charged forward, a blur that the genin couldn't follow, and while the jounin could, they had to concentrate. Naruko jumped high into the air and above the mercenaries and came crashing down with an axe kick that leveled part of the bridge and killed a few mercenaries. Hinata weaved through all their weapons and hit all of her targets with ease. The mercenaries were in a panic as these two seemingly harmless girls were utterly decimating them. Hinata seemed to be in a graceful dance as she avoided the enemy attacks skillfully and sent her own back at them. Naruko would just block and retaliate with devastating blows.

The Konoha shinobi were completely taken by surprise as the enemy stood no chance against Naruko and Hinata.

Zabuza was impressed at seeing both of those supposed genin level genin surpass that by inconceivable levels. He let out a laugh finding this amuzing. Then he saw Gato trying to get away. Zabuza shunshined and appeared right behind Gato. When he saw Zabuza directly behind him, he freaked out and turned back and took a step back only to trip and fall.

Zabuza walked to Gato and grabbed him by his shirt and started dragging him towards the town.

Haku was also shocked at seeing how strong Hinata and Naruko were. Though she was sure they were far stronger. She was glad she could call them both her friends.

Naruko and Hinata were finally finished with all the mercenaries, and headed back to their teams only to see them staring at them with shock written all over their faces, except for Sasuke. He had anger and jealousy written all over his, but that's nothing new. Team 8 soon recovered and rushed over to them with praise. Kurenai had pride in her eyes, she felt suspicious about when Hinata got so strong, though she had a feeling it had to do with Naruko, even then, she was proud of Hinata for this. Kiba was asking where she they got so good, wanting to also get strong to knock a certain black haired duck-butt of his high-horse, while Shino(who finally recovered from his traumatic experience) agreed in terms of how strong the two of them were. All in all, Hinata was happy and she knew, somewhere inside, Naruko was happy too.

Kakashi and team 7, well, not so much. Kakashi was thinking along the lines of not letting the 'demon' stronger and thus, he knew he must report this to the Hokage, or to be precise, to ask him for answers. Sasuke, well, not like we even need to know what he's thinking, it's not a hard thing to know by now. As for Sakura… well, she was having a small conflict in her, but the most prominent thought was her thinking how pathetic she was compared to Naruko and Hinata, especially compared to the former.

While this was going on, Zabuza was dealing with a Gato pleading for his life. He had made it to the center of town while dragging the sniveling crime boss to where most of the people were tending to the women that had arrived just a few minutes earlier, since Gato had destroyed the hospital building as another show, besides killing Kaiza, to not go against his word. Zabuza whistled to get their attention, which it did and most, especially the women, were shaking in fear of seeing the infamous Zabuza, Demon of the Mist. Zabuza stood tall, and before the townsfolk ran for their lives he lifted Gato to show him to everyone.

"Who wants to take some revenge first? This rat is all yours!" he said then threw Gato forward and he landed on his face just a few feet in front of Tazuna. Gato, after picking himself up from the floor, lifted his head to stare at Tazuna's glaring face, his eyes filled with hatred for the corrupt man, currently on his knees on the floor.

"Everyone." called out Zabuza. The populace turned to him only to see him smirk "Do whatever you want to him, but please don't kill him, I'd like that honor myself; he was going to betray me too."

Tazuna nodded, agreeing to the terms, but Zabuza never said anything about beating the life out of him and leaving him, literally, within an inch of his life.

While the beating was going on, and Zabuza relishing in Gatos pleads for them to stop and his screams of pain, he looked around and saw a kid that seemed familiar. He reached inside one of his pants pockets and pulled a photo. The photo had the old man he knew was Tazuna, who he saw had just delivered a kick to Gatos crotch, that must have hurt, if Gato's high pitch scream was anything to go by, then he saw the same woman that was currently with the kid, and the kid himself, and then a another man with his right hand on the kids head. They were all smiling in the photo. Zabuza nodded and walked towards them. When Tsunami saw Zabuza walking towards her, she pulled Inari behind her.

"Don't worry, I'm not going to do anything" said Zabuza and he stopped within arms-reach of her "I'm just here to return something" he then raised the photo so she could see it

When she looked at the photo she felt her eyes go wide and she released her hold over Inari and took the photo with her left hand.

"Where did you get this?" she asked, looking directly into his eyes

"The day before that man got killed; I believe his name was Kaiza"

Tsunami then asked "You met my husband?"

"Yes, I very rarely give out any complements but that man, for a civilian, was impressive, never showed an ounce of fear even when I killed his men and captured him in Gatos orders, he was truly something, he could be called a hero for fighting for his beliefs."

"THAT'S A LIE!"

Tsunami moved aside to look at Inari who yelled those words and Zabuza got a good look at the kids tear stained face.

"HE WASN'T HERO; HE WAS A LIAR, WEAK, PATHETIC; HE WASN'T IMPRESSIVE AT ALL, HE WAS NOTHING!"

Tsunami's tears fell as Inari said these harsh words.

Zabuza's eyes narrowed and he walked to the kid, and grabbed him by his shirt and lifted him to face level.

"Listen to me kid; your father was none of those things, you hear me?" spoke Zabuza to the now trembling Inari "When I said your father was a hero, I wasn't kidding. I'm sure that you believe he was all those things but tell me, didn't he fight with everything he had to save Wave, not fuck it up more than it was when Gato appeared?"

Inari opened his mouth to say something but closed it as he couldn't knew what Zabuza was saying was true, even though he didn't want to believe it.

"See? You yourself don't even believe the crap I know you've been spewing out after his death, do you really think so low of him? What'd he say if he was still alive and would hear you talking like this?"

Inari's eyes widened as he could suddenly feel his father's disappointed voice and eyes, all directed to him. His tears fell harder and he started sobbing.

Zabuza set the kid on the floor "You know, the day before he died, when I spoke to him, he wanted me to tell you something."

Inari looked up at Zabuza.

"He wanted me to tell you to never give up and to always protect your most precious people with everything you've got, even if you have to lay down your life for it"

Inari looked down, remembering his father telling him those exact same words before. So many times and just now he started reflecting on them. His father really was a hero; he lived by those same words. He really did lay down his life to protect his precious people, and even though he died, in a way, his death did protect his precious people from Gato as with his death, no one dared go against Gato and like this, no one was killed.

Inari stood up, and walked to Tsunami, and with his head downcast he apologized.

"I'm sorry Kaa-san…" as his tears fell

Tsunami smiled and kneeled down and embraced Inari as her tears also fell. Inari returned the embrace.

Zabuza then walked off, his promise to Kaiza now complete.

"Wait."

He looked over his shoulder and saw Tsunami looking at him.

She smiled "Thank you"

Zabuza nodded and walked away. But not before walking to the group and after asking if they'd all had their fill, which they had, and they enjoyed it. He took out his Kubikiribocho and while ignoring Gatos pleas that he didn't want to die, sliced Gatos head cleanly from his body. Zabuza then headed off to rendezvous with the group.

At the same time as when Zabuza arrived at the village

"Naruko!"

Team 8 parted to see who called her name; when they looked back it was Sasuke.

"Where did you learn that jutsu?" he asked angrily

Naruko tilted her head to the side, confused as to what he meant.

"Don't play dumb you know which one!" he said as he walked towards her "The one that my brother uses, the exploding clones, only he knows it, so why do you know it?"

Naruko kept her head tilted to the side, ignoring Sasuke or just doesn't know, none of them knew.

"ANSWER ME!" he ordered as he grabbed her by her collar bandages.

The moment he did that however, Naruko grabbed his arm, and threw him over her shoulder and slammed him onto the floor, where she pressed her left foot to Sasukes back and twisted his arm until it was close to breaking. Sasukes yell of pain made Kakashi act.

"Naruko, let him go this instant, comradesshouldn't be fighting each other" spoke Kakashi.

Naruko was about to release Sasuke but Sakura, who did not notice Naruko was about to release him and had not been paying attention when Kakashi ordered her to let him go, acted without thinking, again.

"Naruko, let go of Sasuke-kun!" she sent a fist to Narukos head.

Naruko let go of Sasuke and blocked Sakuras fist with her right hand. She followed up by doing the same thing she did with Sasuke and Sakura landed on her back on top of Sasuke.

Kakashi, seeing Sakura's horrible punch throwing, sighed and facepalmed.

"…Pathetic." spoke Naruko in her monotone voice

"You're telling me…" mumbled Kakashi in agreement of Naruko's statement only to realize what he did and narrow his eyes at her and cross his arms and look somewhere else.

Naruko tilted her head at Kakashi's sudden actions.

"Sakura, GET OFF OF ME!" yelled Sasuke trying to get Sakura, who had rolled over onto her stomach on Sasuke's back and was currently clinging onto him.

"But Sasuke-Kun~!" whined Sakura

"Enough, only 3 seconds of this and I'm already sick of it; Shino drain their chakra, I cannot look at this a second longer." ordered Kurenai as she rubbed her temples, who like everyone else, was sick of the pitiful display.

Shino fixed his glasses "Already on it Kurenai-sensei" suddenly Shino's bugs surrounded the clingy fangirl and squirming Uchiha and drained their chakra in a few short seconds.

When the bugs retreated back to Shino, they saw Sakura and Sasuke's twitching bodies.

"Don't you think they went just a little overboard?" asked Kakashi

"No I don't believe they did, I think they should have drained away Sakura's fangirl attitude and Sasuke's massive ego." replied Kurenai.

Kakashi thought it for only a second "Agreed."

Even though Kakashi was training Sasuke personally( which was already wrong since he was picking favorites among his own team…as you already know), he knew Sasuke needed to be rid of that damned attitude of his, or else it was going to bite him( and everyone else) back.

"Well team, we should be getting back to town." Kurenai looked towards the far end of the bridge which was now destroyed thanks to Naruko's drop kick and her explosion clones.

The group nodded and Kiba, after taking out some chakra wire, tied up the Uchiha and his fangirl Haruno together, back to back, and made sure the bonds were properly secured so neither could break free.

Before the teams could leave they noticed they were missing two members but after inspecting the immediate area, they were nowhere to be seen, neither the fake hunter-nin.

Kurenai turned to her team "Do any of you know where they went?"

Kiba nodded "I can smell their scent, they went towards the docks."

Kurenai nodded "Kiba, Shino, take Sakura and Sasuke back to Tazuna's house while I and Kakashi see what those two are up to."

Kiba and Shino nodded and Kakashi and Kurenai headed towards the docks.

-At the docks: The moment when Shino summoned his bugs.

Naruko, Hinata and Haku landed on the far side of the port where the ferry the Mist-nin arrived in was. They saw Zabuza talking to the captain of the vessel and saw him nod and Zabuza handing him a small pouch which must have been the payment for passage back to Mist.

Zabuza turned to Naruko "So… everything went just like you wanted, kid?"

Haku answered positively "Yes, none of them noticed anything major, Zabuza-sama." Naruko nodded in confirmation.

"Well, then I guess this covers my debt to your kaa-san then." Although his face was covered, the jonin seemed to have a satisfied smile in his hidden features, if only for a moment, as his expression turned serious as he turned to Haku.

"Zabuza-sama?" asked Haku, feeling pressure from her master's gaze

"Haku… you have been an excellent shinobi to me, and have stayed loyal through all our hardships, but now…you know where Im going-"

Haku interrupted him with a firm voice. "I already told you, I would follow you anywhere, master."

Zabuza just sighed in response "You know what's going to happen to you if he catches wind of your bloodline. You wouldn't survive a day in Mist, let alone an hour."

"But, Zabuza-sama, I lived in Mist for my first 5 years without anything happening!"

"That was before you had awakened your bloodline; and what happened the next day? Your bastard father brought friends of his and killed your kaa-san. You're lucky you activated your bloodline otherwise you wouldn't be standing here trying to convince me to take you with me to Mist."

Haku could only avert her gaze to the ground in despite how much she wished to refute her superior, who looked conflicted, even with his harsh tone. Naruko did not comment, merely she searched through her bandaged wrist with almost mechanical purpose, bringing out what looked like slip of paper with an elaborate seal. She then stepped towards Haku and placed it in her hand.

Both Master and student alike looks the ivory sheet with confusion.

"What is this, Naruko-san?" Haku inquired

"…It's called a Blood reversal seal, if you use it, it will seal away your ice in favor of its components." Naruko answers without doubt in her tone.

Haku had an expression that crossed between surprise, hope and disbelief. She turned to her master "Then…with this, Zabuza-sama?."

Zabuza, who was also just as amazed, responded, albeit, reluctantly "Fine… but you better keep that seal nice and hidden, kid. Don't even think of relaxing for a second, understood?" in spite of what he said, he almost seemed…happy.

"I understand, Master!" Haku replied, unable to keep her smile out of sight.

Zabuza turned to Naruko, his relaxed expression shifting to one that relayed curiosity "Kid… where did you get a powerful seal like that? I swear this is the first time I'd hear of anything that can affect bloodlines like that."

"My Kaa-san gave it to me." The mummy girl answered simply. Raising eyebrows of the mist shinobi infront of her.

"…your Kaa-san…" started Zabuza

"…gave it to you? ..." finished Haku

Naruko nodded.

-Zabuza and Haku's mental image-

A chibi Kushina just came out of a hole in the ground with a headstone saying R.I.P Kushina Uzumaki. As she steps out of the small pit, she sees her daughter inside a pile of bandages. She bubbles with a smile over to her and pulls out a paper tag with a symbol scribbled on it from Kami-knows-where and handed it to her. After talking in the as-of-yet unidentified language of chibinese, she waves a 'Goodbye!' to her daughter who waves back, with the aforementioned piece of paper sticking out of the pile. Kushina then waddles back to her hole, covers it with dirt, and falls asleep, with ZZZZZ's coming out.

-Back to reality-

Zabuza and Haku just blankly stared at the mummy girl in front of them, half-expecting her to say it was a joke and half-expecting it to be real.

After a minute or so of silence, Zabuza decides to respond.

"Well…" He tries to respond quickly, not wanting to go back to silence "We need to leave now, before…"

"Your senseis!" says Haku quickly, trying to assist for Zabuza "We need to leave before you're senseis get here, right Zabuza-sama?" she looked to him for support.

"R-Right, yeah, you're right Haku. We need to leave before your senseis get here. Don't want them to capture us for 'intruding' on your mission."

And with that, both Sensei and protégé boarded the boat, and after barking some orders to his crew, the captain set sail to the Land of Mist.

Minutes after the farewell, both Naruko and Hinata were alerted by the arrival of two individuals. They turned back, already knowing who it could be.

"So here you two were" claimed the stern voice of their genjutsu mistress.

Kakashi stood forward next to Kurenai, taking a similar tone with their students "Might both of you be willing to explain what have you been doing away from the rest of us unannounced?"

"We were following the real Zabuza and his subordinate." Naruko answered in her usual tone.

Kakashi looks over them, to the ship, already having a small clue as to where they were.

"And might you be willing to tell us just where they are?" asked Kurenai sternly

Naruko raised her right hand and pointed to the ship that was already far from shore.

"We followed Zabuzas trail to the pier and as we searched, the ship set sail and we figured out that that's where he was."

"So why didn't you go after them?" asked Kakashi "You know the Water-Walking exercise perfectly, so I doubt you couldn't just run to the ship."

"Since Zabuza and his subordinate were not part of the mission, and they left Wave, meaning our client is safe; we felt no reason to pursue them."

Kakashi narrowed his eye at his bandaged bound student but before he could question her claim, Kurenai stepped forward.

"Enough. Kakashi, we will interrogate them back in Konoha after reporting to the Hokage of their alleged allegiance with Zabuza. Right now though, we have a mission we need to complete so I suggest you keep your questions until later"

Kakashi, already having questions of his own for the Hokage himself, nodded his head in agreement.

"But they will be punished now." Said Kakashi "Thanks to Naruko's 'methods' of taking care of the mercenaries, the bridge will need more time to get finished, so until that time, both of you are to help the builders with the reconstruction. Agreed Kurenai?"

Kurenai nodded "Yes, it seems fair, for now anyway."

Hinata let out a mental sigh as Naruko simply looked at Kakashi, and tilted her head to the side wondering what she did to the bridge.

"Thank you for your help Konoha-nin" Thanked Tazuna

It was two days after the bridge was completed, after two more weeks of, arduous back-breaking, work, for Hinata and some workers, Naruko had little to no trouble lifting the bridge supports or moving them from spot to the other, which left most workers, and Tazuna, speechless since she carried two in each arm like they weighed nothing.

"We are in your debt for this endeavor Konoha-nin." Tazuna bowed

Kakashi waved it off "No need for thanks Tazuna-san. We we're just doing our job."

Tazuna nodded and suddenly seemed to remember something "Oh, I just remembered." He called one of his workers forward. The Konoha-nin saw he was carrying a sizable sack filled with, as Kurenai, Kakashi, Naruko and Hinatas trained ears could tell, money.

"This should cover the mission and then some." Spoke Tazuna as the worker handed the sack to Kakashi.

"Tazuna-san, this is quite generous of you." Said Kurenai

"It's the least I could do for lying about the mission. I hope this will go a long way into helping our two nation's alliance."

As they keep exchanging gracious words, they notice Tazuna's daughter, Tsunami, and her son Inari, stepping forward from the crowd right next to Tazuna. Inari stepped forward looking at the group.

"Everyone." They looked down at Inari, waiting to see what he wanted "I'd, uh.. I'd like to apologize for my rude behavior over the past few weeks. I'm sorry." He bowed, emphasizing his sincerity on the matters.

The senseis and the rest assured the boy that all was fine. No hard feelings' after all, considering what the child was keeping inside. Tsunami was grateful for their forgiveness.

When it finally came time where goodbyes were made, Tsunami casted a sympathetic eye to Naruko as she waved them farewell, to which she slowly raised her hand and waved back to her.

Author's note: I hoped you enjoyed it. Now, a bit of honesty. I tried; I really tried to make Zabuza like he was in the anime, but it's been years since I've seen the original series and I didn't really want to see it. Sorry if I made Zabuza OOC. Another thing I'm also sorry is, once again, that this chapter took me so long to write or rather, finish. But one good thing about this is the Wave arc is done. Finally. I've read so many Wave arcs for different Naruto stories that I was kind of tired of it already. But on to better things now because from here on out, it is different. I'll hope you'll enjoy it.
