"Everyone's changing recently. I don't know what to make of it."

It's a week after the meeting at the library. A week of keeping secrets and not knowing what to say and who to speak to. In the span of those days, SeeU and Miku had become closer after the library incident was explained as 'I spoke without thinking things through again and wanted to ask Shion-san something in private. Sorry'. Of course Miku still had her suspicions, but that was all water under the bridge.

Now they're both sitting close to one another on Miku's living room sofa, chatting about topics that pop in their heads while stuffing chips into their mouths. The TV plays reruns they don't care too much about. It's a perfect lazy Sunday afternoon.

"It's like every time I try to talk to Gumi she always ends up avoiding me. Is there something she doesn't want to tell me?"

Yup. It's called "I'm dating your crush and don't know how to tell you so bye-bye" excuse kids these days love to use. I still can't believe they've been able to keep their relationship a secret from you for two weeks.

This is the moment SeeU had been waiting for. If Gumi wasn't going to break the truth to the poor girl, then she would. It's not like dating the guy you were trying to hook up with a girl you barely know is such a bad thing, even though the relationship had begun from a misunderstanding and was based on simple teenage curiosity.

I agree with SeeU. Lets face it, those two are together just to try being in a relationship, Akiko-chan calls this 'dating virgins'. She's a bit of a nutjob too.

Who was SeeU kidding? This sounded bad and she couldn't imagine how Miku would deal with it. She liked to believe Miku would handle the news perfectly fine and allow those two to be together, even possibly supporting them.

Okay, now this is just pointless stalling. Can we please move on? You all are starting to make me feel fed up. At least pay me five dollars an hour for having to bear all of this pointlessness.

SeeU took a swig of her canned Sprite before asking "What would you do if I told you I was mad at Gumi?"

Not what I wanted but I guess I'll take what I can get.

Miku was confused. From what she had heard and come to know about SeeU, she never thought that the blond would be able to stay angry for long. She looked like the type that could easily get over the worst of fights with a large smile and an 'everything's a-okay!' Worst of all, Miku couldn't imagine what Gumi could have possibly said or done to make SeeU mad. It was a large question mark that painted the Miku's face.

"Uh…I'd ask what happened? What did happen?" Now that Miku thought about it, the times that she had seen SeeU in the hallway or sat with her during lunch, Gumi wasn't around or looked as though she was getting ready to leave. Nothing like the first time she had encountered the seemingly connected to the hip duo.

Now's my chance!

Finally.

"You see, I'm a diehard fan of romance. Be it anime, novellas, regular TV shows, books, movies, even webcomics; I love them all! The minute I see a pair that I like I will like them till the end, even if it turns out the love is one-sided or nefur going to happen. Of course it's sad seeing a ship sink because of some other character, but that's exclawsable too. It's so sad when they don't work out but that doesn't mean I won't stop searching for art or writing stories about them! Purrsonally I purrfur Ayano with Shintaro but I know that Ene could work out for him and the whole relationship with-"

You talk way too much.

"Uhh, SeeU? You lost me after you started talking about…ships was it? What do boats have to do with couples?"

Cue a large, overly exaggerated sigh.

"SIGH. Oh Mikuku, you have soooooo much to learn."

Told you.

As SeeU took in another breath, fully prepared to go on about her favorite pairings and explain the wonderful world of ships, she realized that recommending couples and good shows would have to wait. She had to tell Miku what has been going on.

I just find it positively hilarious how this woman is the voice of reason in this story. Really, I'm laughing so much.

"Okay, I'll be totally honest now...Miku...GumiandLenareacouplenowandI'msorrypleasedon'tbemad!"

Really? A scene change at the 'climactic' point that has taken chapters to build up to? Who's directing all this, a five-

Hihihihihi! You have just locked a new chara! Are you happy? You should be.

I don't think your narrator will mind if I borrow her spotlight for a bit. Also, the person who is directing this is totally not a five year old, thank you very much!

Who am I? Well, if you must know, I am a special girl. You see, right now, as we speak, I am residing in the mind of your narrator.

Why? Well…That's classified information!

I just winked.

Okay, okay, I'll get to the point. I know you all must be tired of all this walking around the main issue that seems to be going on. Teens, right? So I decided to use my powers to step in and push us right to the climax of this arc so we can all move on! It's about time too considering all the other characters such as myself who have yet to be seen let alone mentioned. You only know about...what...ten characters? And it would be a miracle if you even remember half of their names let alone their roles. That's kind of sad considering you still have around fifteen other charas to unlock. Myself included.

You know, SeeU wasn't even supposed to appear until all this drama is over with since she's considered a minor character in the original script. How she got so far and so popular is something I don't get considering all the other people above her on that list.

OH WELL. TIME TO WORK MY MAGIC!

"Hey, Miku. What are you doing here?"

Actually, now that I think about it a lot of things didn't go like planned.

Miku gulped. It had been a while that she was trying to avoid this. It was the entire reason she had even gone to the 'Romance Club' in the first place. But there was no use avoiding it. She had to confess.

Len was supposed to have- Wait, that might still be happening?

It felt as though she wasn't herself. Even now, as she found her foot on top of Len's chest as he laid flat on the floor. She never realized she had such a powerful kick. Then again, they were in the shallow end of the pool and water did make the weakest people strong due to scientifical mumbo-gumbo that was the farthest thing in her head because wow! She had jumped in the swimming pool in school with people watching her as she pushed Len underwater and held him down.

Whoops. Forget I said anything.

"Everyone out, NOW!"

...Whoops again. Maybe I went overboard on confidence and strength?

With the power of imposing ones own presence in the eyes of others, the few members of the swim team who had chosen to practice on a non-scheduled day cleared out of the pool and left with their towels to the locker rooms. Miku and Len were alone, a feat Miku hadn't achieved a long time. Even when they had talked it would always be with Rin around.

Was this the first time they were truly alone together?

Hmm...It's unnatural considering her personality but I kind of like where this is going. Now...cue the confession!

It was at that moment Hatsune Miku realized a key component she had overlooked for the past minute or so.

Len needed to come up and breathe at some point.

...Whoops...

He came up a second after, breathing and pulling off his goggles that looked a lot like the ones a certain teen wore on top of her head constantly.

"What was th-"

Miku placed her hand over his mouth, saw his eyes expand, and with all the courage that had mysteriously appeared inside of her she opened her mouth and said-

"Len, I like you. I liked you for a long time even though we barely ever talked and I was hoping we'd be a couple and go out and, like, kiss and junk. Then I found out you're not single anymore, which is a miracle considering like no one knows because everyone seems to be blind when it comes to one of the most popular guys in the school not being single and I almost suffocated you because, yeah, I like you."

They both froze, Miku's hand on his mouth and hers wide open. Those words were hers yet they didn't come from her mouth. Over at the deep end, with her feet dipped in the water and sporting a school swimsuit, sat Akita Neru, the self-proclaimed rival of Hatsune Miku.

Surprise! Did anyone see that coming?

"I-..I..."

"Can it, Hatsune. You took too long to say it and I got tired of waiting for the right time to mess up your spotlight. So here I am, helping you do it. You're welcome!"

With that Neru stood up and left, leaving an "ungrateful twerps" lingering in the air.

See what I did there? Adding mysteriousness and subtle kindness to her arsenal? Oh yes, that was smart!

Normally a person would ask if that was true, but the vulnerability Miku displayed where determination had once been showed the answer he hadn't asked. That was why he went with his instincts and hugged her.

"I'm sorry. I'm going out with Gumi."

"I know."

"You're nice."

"I know."

"And pretty."

"Thank you."

"And I think that this hug is starting to get awkward."

"It is."

With his hands on her shoulders, Len pulled away and looked Miku in the eyes. She was sad, that much was obvious, but with the sadness came a sense of relief that could only come from relieving ones feelings from internal confinement.

And now they're laughing...AWW! Well, I guess my work here is done!

Hello everyone and thank you mysterious new character for finally getting us over that super long piece of teen drama, now we can unlock a whole set of new drama!

Just kidding. Hahahaha..ha..

Three months later and here we are ending this arc. I'm going be honest and say I have no clue when this story will end because, as stated from the beginning, this is a fun project I made with no planning. Well...I did plan but I only planned what cliche each character would portray. Also, this is officially the longest chapter in the story with the second one being the chapter where Gumi and Len hooked up (chapter six).
