No, I'm not dead. I've been on hiatus, reading, learning, and I realize that there is always hope. Haha, yeah, so, I'm back~ I realize that yes, the story line changes constantly, and yes, it jumps really fast, but this is a fun read, and I'm an amateur. I love that you guys like it~

Max POV

I wasn't sure about this whole 'camp' ordeal. I mean, first of all, there was that girl, Mia, and I didn't trust her at all. Then there was the whole 'wee, gods exist and we're miracle children' thing. And then, 'woops sorry, we found one of our long lost bff's, bye!'.

But the kids loved it, and I figured that the danger level was at its, so, what's the harm?

Right, the ever-existing Erasers. But we had been dealing with the our whole lives, so we were okay.

But Max! What if it's a trap? Well, too bad. We can try to avoid bad things, but they will always show up at our front door, knocking in our faces.

So at the moment we were throwing our stuff together after a quick explanation to my mom about going to summer camp. She was ecstatic, but a little bit concerned and a little more suspicious. I told her that she had nothing to worry about, and that we could take care of ourselves.

Now was the hard part. I braced myself as I knocked on his door. I almost chickened out. I almost went downstairs to drag Fang up here so I didn't have to do this alone. But I didn't. Because I can do this. I am brave. I am strong.

He opened it and didn't seem the least bit shocked to see me.

I am about to run away.

"Max?"

"Hey. Dylan. I just wanted to tell you that..."

"You and the flock are leaving to go to summer camp?"

"Right. Super hearing. How could I forget?"

"Look, Max, I know you don't want me to come, and I'm fine with that. Old flock bonding time, right?"

"Something like that," I mumbled.

"I get it. I mean, ever since, me, and Maya, and all that doomsday stuff, you guys really haven't got the chance to hang out. So, go."

"Thanks." Ugh, I am such a pansy. What happened to me?

"And, uh, sorry about forcing me onto you. I was programmed to love you, and you weren't-"

"Can we not talk about this? Not now."

"No, Max, I have to say this. Angel sort of de-programmed me or something, but now I'm confused. I don't know what I feel, or what I should feel-"

"If you're going to hug me, or kiss me now, I suggest you save it. Since you know where I'm going, I have to go pack. Good day."

Since when did I talk like that? This would be so much easier if I knew that some evil scientist had programmed me to feel like such a pansy. At least then I'd know that somewhere deep inside, the tough-as-nails queen of ice still existed.

I threw some pants and some shirts into a backpack.

Huh, at least I still packed like me. I finished packing, threw my bag onto my back and ran into Nudge on my way down the hallway. Literally. But it turns out, she was just on her way to find me. Why?

"OMG Max! Do you think I'll need to bring my mirror and my makeup and all that? I mean, I know Mia mentioned something about an Aphrodite cabin and I did some research and she's the Greek goddess of love and beauty, so I'm sure I'll fit in, at least somewhat, but I don't want to feel like I have to borrow all their stuff, but I'm not sure I really want ot fly across the country with my backpack full, so-"

"Uh huh, Nudge, that's great. Love, research. Good job. Keep packing. I'm going to.. check Gazzy and Ig for explosives."

"Sure you are. Fang's downstairs, by the way."

"What makes you think I'm going to... Thanks."

See what I mean? Pansy.

"Max," a voice breathed down my neck.

I don't think I'll ever get used to it. Strong, ropy arms wrapped around my waist.

"What do you think of all this?" I asked him.

"Can't hurt to try," he pulled my backpack off, "Besides, I trust your decision."

"What do you make of all this god stuff?" I struggled to keep my head clear.

"It's just as crazy as the 2% bird thing, if not less. We don't know much about them, but it'll be... relaxing. Fun."

"Fun," I repeated.

If only we knew.

"Max! Max! Are you and Fang kissing again? Warn me if you are."

Fang chuckled and let go of me and I immediately start missing the warmth of his arms. "For your information, Gazzy," I said, annoyed, "his tongue is currently in my mouth."

"Eww!" he paused, "Nuh uh. You're lying. You can't talk if you're kissing."

I turned around and wrapped my arms around Fang's neck, "Wanna bet?"

"MAX! THE KITCHEN IS BEING EATEN BY A GLOOP MONSTER!"

I looked at Fang.

He shrugged, "they probably had an ice cream fight."

I sighed and trudged downstairs.

"No, I was wrong. This is Cream War III."

The entire kitchen was covered in, well, gloop. Not to mention Nudge, Iggy, and Gazzy too. Chunks of red things, puddles of white liquids, cracked egg shells, egg yolks, flour, everything.

"What happened here?" I asked in my steely voice.

Gazzy gulped. "We were trying to make a strawberry smoothie. But we forgot to put the lid on the blender. Max you should have seen it! Everything was flying everywhere!"

"I don't care. I care about this mess and who's going to clean it up. Iggy?"

"Don't rat on the blind guy."

I pinched the bridge of my nose. "I don't care who cleans it up, I want this clean."

"Eggs in a smoothie?"

"We were trying to make it creamier!"

"Flour?"

"It was too thin."

Yes, yes, first chapter back and it's a filler. Right now it's 12 am and my brain is not functioning. I promise you a chapter tomorrow. Or... today. Later.
