Letters Between Friends

Inspired by cut in-game content in ME2 where Kirrahe sends Shepard an email that also suggests he is corresponding with Mordin.
Done in response to a prompt for the Kirrahe rp I run on Tumblr.

Kirrahe,

Know you're busy. Won't keep you long. Working with Shepard now, she mentioned working with you . Concerned with the disappearing human colonies, thought I should help out. Requesting data on Collectors, working on countermeasure. Know it's classified, know you can bypass it. Help would be appreciated.

- Mordin

Mordin,

I haven't heard word from you in a while. I was almost worried. Good to hear your old age hasn't slowed you down. I'll have to pull a few strings, but I can get you the data. We're not doing much with it. If you think it's a problem we'll send some agents in to do some investigating of our own. We tried several weeks ago, but there was nothing to find. Hard to believe it's the Collectors, but now we know what we're looking for.

How was Omega? I heard a plague was recently cured in one of the poorer districts. You wouldn't have anything to do with that, would you?

- Kirrahe

P.S. You can type in complete sentences, you know. It won't save time typing a few I's now and then.

Kirrahe,

Positive it's Collectors. Saw the footage myself. Received the data, thank you for the assistance. Knew you were good for something.

Omega was challenging. Everyday new sick patients, risk of contracting illness myself, Blue Suns and Blood Pack breathing down neck. Good fun. Would go back and do it again if chance presented itself. Shouldn't be surprised you knew location. Always were a busybody. Shepard the same, won't stop bothering me. Reminds me of you.

- Mordin

P.S. No. Tested it myself. Saves nanoseconds that build up over time. Could do so much with extra ten minutes.

Mordin,

If you need anything else let me know. STG is clamping down on intel, but I know how to work around that.

You sound like you're describing a holiday. It doesn't sound like a beach resort. That for next retirement, I presume? You know I always keep tabs on my agents, even after they've left. I'll tell Shepard not to stop bothering you. We don't want you cut off from all social interaction. Between the Commander and myself you'll become a regular social butterfly.

- Kirrahe

P.S. We both know that minutes is an exaggeration. You have two at most. Just enough time to sing a song.

Kirrahe,

No plans for retirement. Collector mission dangerous, risk life several times a day. Except Tuesdays. Tuesdays always calm. Would prefer if you and Shepard left me to work. She asks inane questions, you clutter head with pointless words. Glad you're not here, would never get a moment's rest between you. Think both of you should get degree, have real conversations.

-Mordin

P.S. Cloaca.

Mordin,

You're making it sound like a suicide mission. Don't go dying on me, Mordin. I think last time we spoke I promised to buy you a drink. I would hate it if I didn't live up to my word. And stop complaining. You know you like it, otherwise why would you keep responding to these emails. Stay safe out there.

- Kirrahe

P.S. You're one to talk, cloaca.

Mordin,

Know you haven't had a chance to respond to previous email. Forwarding intel about previous agent Maelon Heplorn. Heard news. Thought you should know. Can't go myself. Do with it what you can.

- Kirrahe

Kirrahe,

Make no promises. May join you for drinks if this works out.

Appreciate the intel. Shepard has business on Tuchanka, can land in Urdnot territory.

- Mordin

P.S. See you adopted my style. Flattered. Will send word on Maelon.

Kirrahe,

You'll live. You're a tough old cloaca.

- Mordin

P.S. Don't let it go to your head.
