Disclaimer: I do not own Twilight.

So I like this song and I figured it would be a good song fic. I've never tried to write a song fic, so hopefully this isn't fail. I also don't know what the format is for a song fic, so I'm just going to write the story how I want to.

The song used is Take a Chance on Me by A-Teens. I happen to like their version of the song the most for this fic.

I don't know if I need a disclaimer for the song, but just in case, I don't own anything for the actual idea for this story, that means I don't own the song.

If you change your mind. I'm the first in line

Honey I'm still free

Take a chance on me.

If you need me, let me know, gonna be around

If you've got no place to go, if you're feeling down

If you're all alone, when the pretty birds have flown

Honey I'm still free

Take a chance on me

Gonna do my very best and it ain't no lie

If you put me to the test, if you let me try

"I thought you weren't going to go this weekend?" I asked Edward with a bit of a pout.

He had gone hunting the previous weekend and told me he would be spending this weekend with me. I even got Alice to tell me that, as far as she knew, she saw me and Edward spending time together. All week I had made sure I did everything I could to hide my scent so it wouldn't be too hard for Edward to be around me and wouldn't be forced to hunt that soon. I knew my scent was hard on him, so I did everything I could to help him. There wasn't much I could do but there were some things I could do, like wear a little more than necessary perfume and wear body lotion and stuff like that. He's my boyfriend and I wanted to be able to spend time with him, but he didn't have the control to do so as often as we would like because of how much my scent called to him.

"I didn't think I was either, but not only does Jasper need to hunt, but I find myself needing to as well. I don't want to risk putting you in any danger." Edward said with a kind smile that held ease my bad feelings about not being able to spend time with him like I had thought.

It was Friday night and I was getting ready to go over to the Cullen's house to spend the weekend over there. Edward had come in through the window just as I was about to go downstairs and leave. I loved the Cullen's and would still go over there to spend time with them; but I would prefer to be over there with Edward there as well.

"Can't you just go real quick then come back relatively soon?" I asked with a hopeful tone.

I had asked him once to hunt during the week, like maybe taking a day off school since it's not like his grades would suffer any from missing a few extra days; the school doesn't even really mind the Cullen's missing school because of their high grades. If he would take a day off school to hunt, then he wouldn't have to leave for the whole weekend because he had put off hunting and had to hunt more than he would have if he had gone during the week. He quickly shot that idea down though saying that if he left school too much without his siblings then it would make people suspicious and he didn't want to put the family at risk any more than necessary.

"I can't love; I need to make sure I hunt enough to last the full week." Edward said as he drew me into his arms and put his chin on the top of my head. "I don't want to put you in any more risk than necessary."

I quickly wrapped my arms around his waist and pushed my face into his chest to inhale his calming scent. I didn't think I'll ever get enough of the way he smells.

"It won't be the same without you; I want to spend time with you, not just your family." I said into his chest.

Even when Edward couldn't be there, I would still spend time with the rest of the Cullen's; they were my family after all. Plus, I didn't think Alice would let me pass up a chance to play Barbie Bella with her; she was one very persistent and persuasive vampire. So I knew I'd still go over there, but I'd still miss Edward.

"I know and I'm sorry. I wish I had better control so I could spend more time with you and not worry about me slipping and killing you." Edward said with a sad look that made me believe he was really upset about his lack of control over his bloodlust my blood caused in him. "I'm sure you'll have fun this weekend though; we have some cousins coming in to visit. The Denali coven will be here and will probably want to visit with you." Edward said with a smile.

Edward had told me a little about their 'cousins' from Denali, Alaska and I thought I could see myself getting along with them fairly well. From what I'd been told, they were a lot older than even Carlisle, which I found both hard and easy to believe. I found it easy because I wasn't naïve enough to even think Carlisle was the first vampire, so therefore there had to be ones older than him; I found it hard to believe because I was used to thinking that someone getting to be 100 was hard enough; but that was a human way of thinking, not vampire. Either way, I was hopeful that their visit might distract Alice from trying to get me to play dress up all the time and might even save me a little from Rosalie's glare.

"All right. From what I've heard about them, I'm sure we'll be fine. If anything it would be a nice change from the normal." I said, not bothering to elaborate on what I meant.

Edward's chuckle let me know he knew exactly what I had meant. Sometimes I thought he really could read my mind; even though he said he couldn't. His ability to understand what I meant just showed how close we really were and how much we were meant to be. Edward's mind reading abilities weren't needed for him to be able to read my mind because he understood me that well.

"I doubt Alice will let you get away from trying on some new outfits; I'm sure she will even try to get some of our cousins to join in the fun." Edward said with a teasing tone.

We both fell silent for a little bit as I listened to his silent chest and felt him take steady and unneeded even breaths. I love spending time like this, me in his arms. I wish this could last forever, but I knew it wouldn't. Either Edward would have to leave to go hunt, or Alice would come and drag me away to play dress up with her.

"I'm afraid it's time for me to go love." Edward said as he pulled away and then placed a small kiss on the top of my head. He kept his arms around me, but arms-length and waited for my answer.

"If you have to; but I wish you didn't have to." I said with my annoyance showing through my voice.

"Me to love; but I'll be back on Sunday as soon as I can. I promise." Edward said.

He then gave me a very chaste kiss on my lips and left before I could even try to pull him into a deeper kiss. I always tried to get closer and move faster with him, but he always stopped because he was afraid he'd lose control and kill me. I personally didn't think he would, but I could understand why he was so hesitant.

"Bye, be safe." I said to an empty room; I was fairly positive he could still hear me from whatever distance he was at.

I picked up my stuff and headed downstairs to say goodbye to Charlie and leave. I told Charlie I would be back by Sunday evening, which he had already known but I just wanted to remind him, and left. He may not like Edward, especially since he was my boyfriend, but he loved Alice and Carlisle; so Charlie still let me go over all the time as long as I made sure to tell him ahead of time. It also didn't hurt that I told him that I would be spending most of my time with Alice and not Edward. Usually I would tell him Edward would be camping with his brothers, it just so happened it was true this time; it also made Charlie less hesitant to let me spend the weekend at the Cullen house.

When I got to the Cullen house, I could see an extra car parked out front that I wasn't familiar with. I made sure I parked next to it, not behind, so I wouldn't block it from getting out in case they wanted to use the car. Once parked, I made my way inside. Like usual, Alice opened the door to greet me before I could even knock.

"Silly Bella, you know you don't have to knock. Now come on in and meet our cousins." Alice said, seemingly a little more excited than normal, which I didn't think was possible. Although, since it was Alice, I shouldn't have put limits on her ability to be over excited.

"Can't I put my stuff in Edward's room first?" I asked as I walked inside, or actually, as Alice dragged me inside.

"Just put it down here, I'll put it up in a second. Come on." Alice said. Apparently she really wanted me to meet her cousins.

When we went into the living room, I noticed their cousins right away. As I had been previously told, there were five of them and they all had golden eyes; I had already been told they were also vegetarians, but it was a small relief to see it. Also as expected, they were all exceptionally beautiful, just like vampires were expected to be. What I wasn't expecting though was that three of the vampires seemed more beautiful than even Rosalie herself. But there was one, I assumed the coven leader, that stood out even more than the other two blondes did.

"So this is Bella?" One of the three most beautiful vampires I'd ever seen asked when I walked into the room.

A/N: Revised 08/12/2014. I made minor changes so that, not only would it be longer like it should have been in the first place, but also so it would flow better for the new pairing that had been voted for on my profile.

So, I'm still undecided and I can write this either way, who do you guys think I should pair Bella with, Kate or Tanya?

Also, my main focus is still my other story. So this one will be updated slowly; I just wanted another thing to do when I get stuck with the other story.
