"No. It's a trap. Riley, Love. You must calm down. She is not there. It is just her blood but listen through the noise. Hear her human heart."

" I... I can't... th- the blood..."

'useless newborn!'

"Wait, I hear it."

" Yes Love. Come before we are noticed."

"Oh God! The smell!" Peter whines. "He could've at least warned us."

"I'm pretty sure he didn't as payback for what ya did in Yellowknife."

"That was an accident, I swear! There was snow in my nose." He grumbles out " I didn't know that snowball had shit in the middle when I threw it at him."

"Alright, already. You ready to go? Sounds like things got started already."

"I love it when you smile."

Charlotte gives Peter a quick kiss as she speeds off. Both eager to get into the fray.

BELLA'S POV

"Bella." A naked Paul stands in front of me. "I have to go help. There is too many of them crazed for your blood. They are breaking through. Damn bitch is nowhere in sight. Her plan may be your death even if she can't do it herself."

"Go and be safe. I'll head into the caves."

He turns and hesitates then takes a step forward head held high. I rush to him and grab his hand."Paul."

He quickly turns his shocked eyes to our hands then to my eyes.

"Thank you for everything." I smile sincerely. He relaxes a fraction. I let go. He nods and takes off. Phasing just a few feet away.

I look down at my trembling hand in hate. Regretting I could not keep it steady. I clench my fist and look into the forest. I know Victoria is not far. She would not let the opportunity go to waste. If her gift can find her ways out, She can surely find her way in.

I do not regret what I am about to do. I rush to my backpack and grab my notebook and pencil. I write down my goodbye letter and grab the knife I took from Charlie. I walk back out side and look around. I never intended to go in that cave. I know she'll come. I take off my hoodie so I'm just in my short sleeve shirt. I look down at my left hand and hold the knife with my right. I see them. The marks he made. I will not cut there. I will go in my own way. I slice the meaty part of my arm and watch the blood run. My heartbeat skyrockets and I shut my eyes. Only to immediately open them back up. Green endless forest, blood covered dirt. "Fight it Bella. Fight it." " You are not there." The sounds... The sounds. Thunder, screeching glass, growls.

" I know your out there! Come and get me!"

" Slight change of plans Sweetheart. Help out the wolves while I go help the suicidal human before she has us killed by the Major."

Charlotte laughs and she keeps her direction. " Sorry you won't get to play Sugg. Maybe next time." She calls out to Peter as he makes his way to the human.

3RDPOV

"Well well, I never thought Edward would hide you here among these mutts. Tell me. Is he still chasing my false leads?" Victoria asks while she keeps her eyes directly to Bella's.

Bella's eyes go wide in shock. As Victoria smiles in triumph. Then...Bella laughs. She laughs from the bottom of her heart. Once Victoria got over her shock she has Bella by the throat against the stone wall of the cliff. Bella can no longer laugh but the smile remains.

"You, Don't, Know."

Victoria narrows her eyes and squeezes a bit more for good measure then drops Bella to the ground. While Bella is coughing and struggling to breath, Victoria takes a closer look at Bella. She takes a step back in shock.

"Tell me it's not true!" She demands. Bella looks up from where she's kneeling on the bloody ground and smiles bloody.

" You see the proof. You want to hear it to?" She rasps out.

"Noo!" She begins pacing with a devastated face. "All of this for nothing!" Then she stops just at the tree line and turns around. " I'll join you soon James." She sinks her heels in the dirt ready to go for the kill. She knows she wont make it out alive. But she wont be going out without Bella

"I wouldn't do that if I were you. Well, actually yeah I sure would, if I were in your situation. But you see now I can't let you kill her. I'd die myself if you did." Peter says casually as he tears off his shirt sleeve and throws it at the girl behind him and looks pointedly at her arm. Bella wide eyed does as the red eyed vampire -that stands between her and certain death- says.

He turns back around to a confused and barely sane from anger Red Head. " But you already have a mate! You can't be hers!" Victoria spits out.

"Never said she was." He states calmly. Buying time.

"But then, if not yours." Victoria realizes she will get her revenge.

Bella is even more confused. First this mysterious vampire. Then Victoria's elated face.

"Edward will get whats coming to him. By the Majors hand. But you Bella will die TODAY!" Victoria rushes in a frenzy and collides with Peter.

Bella can't see them anymore. She can hear the thunder of skin to skin contact. She can also see trees falling over, new dents in the ground. Then a leg appears in the middle of the clearing followed by another. Next is Her. Arms behind her back face down on the ground and Peter sitting on her hands facing Bella.

"How you holdin' up kid?"

"Should I thank you or just let go of the pressure now? Your eyes have turned black" Bella thinks she probably shouldn't be pushing her luck but she already told herself she was gonna go out her way.

Peter releases a deep chuckle "Charlotte is gonna love you. Go ahead and keep the pressure. Try not to pass out while your at it. Just sit back and relax. Help is on the way."

"Peter! How can you just leave her like that? Here Hunny let me wrap that properly for you."

Bella whips her head to the newcomer and yells "No!" as she scrambles away. The next moment Charlotte is at Peter's side.

"It's alright Hunn. Just calm down try not to move so much. We are not gonna hurt you" She says in a soothing voice. To Peter she hisses in a low tone 'what the hell did that bastard do to her?'. " That's it just sit back we will not move. Your friends will be here any second now."

Ok so life is a [insert your preferred insult here]. So no more false promises of updating soon. I'm just gonna go with the flow of life.

I also wrote a, well its not a story and its not a oneshot really. Its more of a scene/drable that i had in my head. Not related to this universe. Its got a different pairing.
