Ralf and Jesse were fighting over whose dorm we were staying in. Jesse won.
We walked to my dorm so I could collect some things. They went to follow me into my room but I slammed the door on there faces. I fell onto my bed. This was a nightmare. I finally got up and collected some things. I grabbed some old pants to use as pajama bottoms; no way was I sleeping in a shirt and my underwear with them. I walked out and we went to Jesse's room. His room looked a lot like mine. There was a bed with little space around it.
Then I walked into the bathroom. There was a shower and a bench with a full-length mirror. I dropped my things on the ground and sat on his bed.
"I could make this work" I told them. Jesse smiled a smile that told me something was up. "
What?" I asked giving him a funny look.
"You do realize that there's only enough room in here to make one more bed. Guess you'll have to sleep with me." I pretended to throw up.
"Or you can sleep with this one" I said pointing at Ralf.
"No way am I sleeping with another dude" he said.
"I'll sleep in bathroom then" I said.
"What if we're 'attacked?'" Dam. I forgot about that.
"We'll figure this out later, let's go to lunch. And I am not sleeping with you. Either of you" I warned before walking out. They followed me as we made our way to the hall.
"I need my feeder" Ralf said and Jesse said "Same."
Feeders were humans that were supplied for the use of students so they could drink they're blood. It was only a small bit of blood; you weren't allowed to kill them. That's how you turned into a Strigoi, by killing someone.
I needed some blood as well. Anastasia and I hadn't had much blood while we were gone, and we didn't have time to yesterday.
"Ok, but we'll wait for Anastasia" I said. "
Ah. I forgot you to were different" Jesse said and I glared at him. Not to long later Anastasia, Adrian and Christian arrived. Adrian and Christian had to feed as well so we all headed to the feeders. When we got there it was more crowded then I remembered then I remembered that the Dhampirs were there to, with their charges. We walked over to Eddie, Lissa, Rose and Mason.
"Hey Mas" Anastasia said fist-bumping Mason. "Hey Ana. He smiled. We wrote our names down on the list and waited.
Anastasia's POV
As we were waiting in line I introduced Christian to the rest of the group. I could tell they were thinking the same thing Jesse had said, but they didn't dare say it, especially with me around.
Our names were called and we went into the room and found ourselves a feeder. I was put with a guy around 25. I hated doing this but I had to, so I lent in and put my mouth to his neck. My teeth pierced his skin and I drank. I pulled out after I was full and stood up. I waited for Christian and Adrian to finish then we left and went and found a table to sit at and we were soon joined by Hope, Ralf, Jesse, Eddie, Lissa, Rose and Mason.
We talked about nothing really for a while.
"So who's room are you staying in?" I asked Hope. "
Jesse's" she said pulling a face and I laughed. "You?" she asked.
"Christian's" I said. "Huh? I thought you'd be staying in Adrian's" she said.
"Nah. It smells" I said laughing when Adrian said "It does not."
"So have you realized the problem yet?" Hope asked.
"What problem?"
"The problem how there's only enough room in the boy's dorm to fit one bed in it, and there are three of you" she said. "
What?!" I yelled and everyone in the hall looked at me and I ignored them. I thought about Christian's room and she was right.
"Don't worry, you can sleep with me" Adrian smiled and I hit him in the chest lightly. "I guess we'll figure it out tonight" I shrugged.
Lunch finished and we headed off to class. So I was taking the Moroi classes. I sat up the back of the class with Christian and Adrian, drawing in a book Christian had lent me.
"You know it wouldn't be a bad thing for you to listen" Christian whispered.
"If I wanted to listen about the Berlin wall falling then I would have pronounced myself a Moroi" I whispered back. By the end of class I had perfected a picture of a pretty cool looking rose on fire.
"So did you learn anything?" Adrian asked. "Yeah. The Berlin wall didn't fall fast enough" I yawned and they laughed at me. The next two classes were pretty much just as boring.
Hope's POV
We left lunch and headed for their first class. They were taking cooking. Cooking!
"Why the hell are you taking cooking?!" I asked them.
"It's a blow off subject" Jesse shrugged. We arrived and the teacher told them that they'd be cooking lasagna.
"This ought to be good" I rolled my eyes. Obviously Jesse and Ralf partnered together and they headed for a bench. They got all their stuff and ingredients out. I watched, kind of interested as they sliced and diced everything and put it all together. I was watching them while watching to see if there was any danger.
About half way through I noticed something out of the corner of my eye. I slammed Jesse into the wall behind me and grabbed Ralf and pushed him next to Jesse. A guardian dressed in black had crept into the room. He jumped at the nearest Moroi and tried to grab her but the Moroi's 'guardian' threw himself at the 'Strigoi' and slammed him against the wall. A few more people jumped in and they 'staked' the 'Strigoi.' The guardian stood up and brushed himself off then grabbed out a notebook and took some notes.
"Ok. Smith, you had your back to your Moroi so you weren't watching what could have happened. Jestel, you had your Moroi protected, but there was a Moroi right in front of you that you practically ignored. Castle's well done. Great effort" he said giving Eddie a pat on the back. I hadn't even noticed Eddie was in this class.
I went and congratulated Eddie. Jesse and Ralf finished their lasagna and I even tasted it. It wasn't bad. Cooking had taken three periods so now I headed to magic practice.
Anastasia's POV
Then we had magic practice. I was used to this class and I never paid attention when I was in it anyway. This time we were outside and using what we could to make our powers grow. I was mucking around with Christian, we were showing off. Adrian was an earth user.
"Miss Rider and Mr. Ozera. Do you think you know something I don't?" Mrs. Cormack asked.
"Probably" I answered and Christian nodded.
"And that is?" she asked smirking.
"Well it's an opinion, but most of my opinions are quite important and true" I started and she continued to smirk at me. "I think that our powers should be used for offence and defense. Not just something pretty to look at like everyone says it is." I said and Christian agreed.
"Is that so? Well one, it's never been like that and two, neither of you would have enough power to do any damage to anything" she smiled. Obviously she didn't know what we could do.
"I think we have more power then you think. I could whip Christian's ass in a second" I smiled and he objected.
"Alright then. Just to see you fail miserably, you two will fight with your powers" she smiled. I laughed. She really didn't know what we could do. I looked over at Hope to see her shaking her head. This was going to be fun. Christian and I circled each other and everyone stood back.
We both produced fireballs and Mrs. Cormack gasped. She hadn't seen anything yet. Christian threw his fireball at me and I ducked. I threw one at him and he also dodged it. We threw a few more, neither of us hitting each other. Finally we decided to give up on the simple stuff. I held out my hands, palms facing Christian. He smiled then did the same thing. Flames flew out of my palms at the same time they flew out of Christian's. They hit in the middle and sparks were flying everywhere. I heard Mrs. Cormack yell at us to stop, but unfortunately we were both stubborn and didn't.
All of a sudden the flames flew into the air and I looked at Mrs. Cormack. Mrs. Cormack's element was air and she hand her palms out, directing the flames away from us. Unfortunately she wasn't as strong as us and couldn't hold it. The flames didn't just disappear, they had to go somewhere. And they did, down on us. Everyone scattered as they saw it coming.
As a Dhampir my first instincts are to save the Moroi so I dived at Christian who was just standing there and Adrian who had been standing behind me. It seemed to go in slow motion as I grabbed Adrian and Christian and jumped out of the way. We fell and I covered them with my body. The flames hit the ground and exploded. I was thrown into the air and I landed a few feet away.
I opened my eyes and I saw Christian and Adrian stand up.
Adrian held out his hands and the earth sucked the remainder of the flames into the ground. I blinked as everyone made their way over to me. I blinked again but this time my eyes didn't reopen.
I opened my eyes to see I was off the ground. I looked around only to realize someone way carrying me. I looked up into Eddie's face. "
Hey" I smiled. "Hey" he smiled back.
"What's going on?" I asked confused.
"Well you and Christian managed to scare everyone to death. You were thrown to the ground hard while protecting Adrian and Christian. Everything was fixed and they're fine. And I'm now taking you to the nurse" he told me.
"Oh" was all I said. We arrived at the nurses and he sat me on the bed. She checked me out and said I was fine, but I should take it easy for a while. I headed to my dorm but then remembered I was staying at Christian's. I walked in but no one was there. I found a note on the bed:
Anastasia, we're at my place. Hope you are ok. Thanks for saving me, I knew you cared. Love Adrian
I rolled my eyes and made my way to Adrian's. I knocked and Adrian answered.
"Hey. Come in" he smiled and I walked in. Christian, Eddie, Lissa, Rose, Mason, Hope and the two knuckle heads were there. I sat on the bed between Eddie and Hope.
"Well that was interesting" Christian said and I laughed.
"Well we did tell her" I said.
"You two are so stupid" Hope said and I rolled my eyes.
