I had this idea for two weeks now but I was just too lazy to write it but I remembered that when June comes I'm going to stop writing for a while because school starts June 13
41% of all people take people with curly hair less seriously~
Mara Jaffray sat on a table in a corner of a little café in the west end of London, reading a book and a cup of coffee beside her. She was wearing washed out skinny jeans, a white tank top with flower patterns embroidered on its collar and a purple cardigan over it. It's been seven years since she was in this café, seven years since she sat at this very table and it has been seven years since he broke up with her.
"Mara Jaffray?" came a voice "Fancy seeing you here."
She looked up to see a tall dirty-blonde male, whose hair was slightly ruffled, with amazing sapphire blue eyes.
"Jerome?" she choked out "Jerome Clarke?"
He shot her a heart melting smile, a smile that she hadn't seen in years.
"Mind if I join you?" he ask
"Not at all" she replied, closing her book and placing it on the table, her gaze trailing down his body.
He was wearing black jeans and a horizontal striped gray polo shirt with long sleeves.
"So.." he began, she quickly snap out of her trance and looked at his eyes, his eyes that she missed so much "how are you?" he asked
"Fine" she replied with a smile "and you?"
"Good" he answered "God, you look different" he said analyzing her, her long straightened hair now with caramel brown highlight "The years have been good to you"
Mara let out a small laugh "It's only been six years, Jerome"
"Felt like an eternity" he sighed before continuing "seven years ago, today, we were at this very café, at this very table, at this very day and time…" he leaned on the table
"You still remember?" she asked softly, looking down not meeting his gaze
"How could I forget?" he answered "That day that was the day-"
"You dumped me" she finished his sentence.
"Mara, about that-" he go cut off again
"I'm over it" she looked up at him with a bitter sweet smile
"I know I hurt you and I'm sorry" he said taking her hand from across the table
"It's fine, it's been seven years since that day" she said pulling her hand way from his hold. "I just don't get why"
"Mara-" he got cut off, again
"We were happy, picnics in the afternoon on campus, swimming in the pond during Sundays, sneaking out past curfew for midnight strolls in the park." She sighed "We were happy"
"Too fucking happy" he said in a low voice "We were so different, we were just going to break up, so why delay it?"
"You said you love me" she whispered hoping he wouldn't hear but he did
"I do" she looked at him with hoping eyes "I did" he corrected and he could see the flash of disappointment in her eyes
"Maybe it was just time to change and just leave it all behind" she said with a small smile
"Nothing stays the same" he said "everything changes"
"I didn't" she said quietly "I may have change physically but I'm still the old dorky Mara"
"Dorky and beautiful" he smiled at her "Annoying, smart, unsporty-"
"Stop!" she said almost yelling and looked down at her lap "Just stop" She stood up and picked up her book "I have to go" she said walking away.
Maybe it was a mistake for her to have gone to that café but what were the chances of her seeing him after six years of no communication. What were the chances of her still having feelings for him when she knew he didn't feel the same way anymore? Maybe it was a mistake for her to think that he would still feel the same way she did. Maybe being with him was just like that, a mistake.
So much for the closer thing~
eh...Fuck et~
I have 3 other Jara ideas but I'm not sure how many of those I can write before June~
