Date-blind

"We're going on a date," Malīk informed the trembling Yuugi who stared up at him from the corner where he'd taken cover. Slowly and pointedly he unsheathed the dagger and sauntered toward him, a broad, demented grin on his face. "You will like it."

Yuugi made a small, terrified sound at the back of his throat and shrunk back against the wall, but there was nowhere to go. With Atem permanently gone from his mind and with the Dark Malik back after three years of peace, there was no one who could help him.

"Now then, here's the surprise part - it's a blind date. And you're not ready to go yet." Malīk bent down, swiftly trapping him, and positioned the tip of the dagger against Yuugi's left eye, so close that it touched the eyeball and made the eye water. He gave him only a few seconds of time to realise what was about to happen.

"This might hurt," he said with mock sympathy, "but I don't know how much. You'll have to tell me."
