... I... I can't even say how emmbarrashing it is to me to realise how long it has been since i've updated. If you read my other story then you know what i've been fighting against this winter. if not, then i'll tell you. I'm depressed. Not in the brief way either. i have seriously thought of hurting myself. I'm not proud of it, not in the least... but i'm finally getting better. As for the reason i have been depressed? you can put the blame on my boss and work. For months now, i've tried to talk to my boss that she's putting way too much pressure and workload on my shoulders. She didn't listen.

I quit.

I came to the conclusion that if i stayed and kept working like i had, sooner or later i would have enough of it and try to find a way to make sure i'd never work again.

Thankfully, i have a new job offer and i'm going to the interview in few days. Hopefully i'll get the job.

Sad no?

Anyway! Thanks for the wait!

Love, Rage.

Ps:

Kurayami Kazuo Riddle: I... honestly had no idea what you wrote, so i used google translate. First of all; thank you for your kind words. second of all; i have been putting off the question of Eevee's evolution for far too long. So, i will say this. Eevee will evolve before Johto. And i am going to write a chapter in the The Adventures Within The Journey story. A movie with Skye on the lead, i will reveal Eevee's evolution in there, be patient for a while longer :) This will be Skye's movie. Ash has lugia and the three legendary birds, Skye will have Ho-oh and the three legendary canines.

And about the egg guestion? Yes. Skye will be hatching more eggs in the future :) Beacause i'm fanatic when it is about breeding XDD In my games i hatch eggs like crazy(well, mostly for my pokedex but still... and i just realised how dirty that 'fanatic' part sounded...).

Skye's current party: Charizard, Eevee, Pikachu, Haunter, Scyther, Meowth.

Pokemon currently at home: Drowzee, Vulpix, Nidorino, Beedrill, Cubone, Venonat, Sandslash, Dratini

P.s There are alot of mistakes this time as i couldn't spot all of the mistakes due to my auto correct had stopped working. I am not looking for a BETA reader

Skye was in a great mood. Scyther had joined her party along with an adorable little Meowth her father had send her.

Not to mention she had a new traveling partner, Todd. The two of them got along surprisingly well and had decided to travel along side each other.

Todd and her walked side by side, Eevee perched on his usual spot on Skye's shoulder as they talked about their lives in their own towns. The weather was nice and sunny with a cooling breeze ruffeling their hairs.

All in all, it was a good day.

The two of them were heading to granpa canyon and should arrive well before sunset. If everything went according to plan that is.

Skye had taken some time off after they had arrived to a pokecenter to get to know her two new partners. Scyther was a very ambitious, battle loving pokemon who took training very seriously. The pokemon was also very strong and from what Skye could gather the pokemon had abbandned it's previous trainer because they hadn't been up to his standarts. How she knew? Well, he had a small band around his left arm that made it clear that he had indeed belonged to someone, along with how well groomed he was it was very clear that he wasn't mistreated. There was something almost regal about Scyther.

So maybe he had just had someone who was too indecisive to train him and he had had enough? More than likely.

Scyther and Charizard had also devolved a rivarly between them. She really needed to do something about that...

Meowth however, was very mischievous and affectionate. Popping out of his pokeball at the most random moments and snuggeling up to her. It was absolutely adorable, even though Eevee was not so fond of the feline because Meowth had pushed him off of Skye's shoulders a lot of times. It was safe to say that the feisty Eevee disliked their new party memeber.

Todd and her continued chatting along, enjoying each others company and the fresh air. It was getting very hot so they decided that they would first find a shade big enough for them all before taking a break.

"How about there?" Todd asked, pointing towards a pretty big boulder that easily provided them all with a cooling shade.

Skye nodded. "Yeah, let's take a break. We've been walking for a while and we need to take more rests because of the heat. I'll take everyone out of their balls and share the water we brought with us."

Skye released her pokemon out of their pokeballs and to her amusement Meowth immediatly made a straight like to her and began rubbing affectionately against her legs, not paying any attension to the seething Eevee upon her shoulder.

Scyther and Charizard send each other a glare before pointedly looking away from the other, Scyther coming closer to Skye with a cry as a greeting.

Pikachu was sniffing at Todd's shoes as the boy had taken out his camera again and was taking pictures of Skye's pokemon.

Haunter was once more up to no good and was teasing Charizard by disappearing and reappearing around the starter.

Skye bent a little from her waist and gave Meowth a rubb between his ears before she began to pour the water to bowls and cups, deciding to add a small plate of berries as a snack for them all.

As she did this, her thoughts wandered to her childhood friend. She hadn't seen Ash in a while and was missing her friend terribly. Maybe she should leave a message to the next Pokecenter just in case? Maybe...

She was also beginning to miss Pallet town. The familiar faces she had seen everyday before she began her jorney. She missed waking up in her own, comfortable bed, the Pidgeys that sung cheerfully from the rooftops, she missed how Mrs. Ketchum would come by with Ash and they all had dinner together, she missed the pokemon at home, she missed going to the lab to see different kinds of pokemon and pestering professor Oak about them.

She was getting homesick.

For the first time ever, Skye wanted to go back home, hug her dad and sleep in her own bed. She wouldn't, not when traveling the world had been a dream of hers for so long, she'd continue on.

But it didn't change the fact that she missed her home.

Skye took a sip of her water and leaned back, both Eevee and Meowth curling up to her sides. Absentmindly, she ran her hands through their silky furs.

She had been thinking about it for a while, about Charizard. He would be strong enough to carry her with some training and then she could visit home once in a while, without affecting her jorney too much. She probably could start training him right away...

She glanced over to the fire type and saw him snoozing, leaning against the boulder.

...It could wait for now...

"Whoa! What's that?!" Todd's voice interupted her musings and she looked over to him, to see him stare at something in the sky.

She looked as well and had to squint her eyes to be able to make out a purple form.

Curious, Skye took out her pokedex, wondering if it could identify if the purple thing was a pokemon. If my some miracle, the pokedex reacted.

"Aerodactyl, an extinct Flying Pokémon. Its hard fangs suggest that it was a carnivore. Its sharp claws were probably used to capture prey. "

"...Wait.. Extinct?!" Skye gasped out, Todd sudenly lunged towards his bag which held his equitment.

"I need to get a picture!"

Skye glanced between the Aerodactyl and Todd, trying to find the words to describe what she was seeing.

A pokemon that was supposed to be extinct was actually flying up in the sky and- What was that?!

Another blob was fluing after Aerodactyl and she pointed her pokedex towards it. "Charizard, the Flame Pokémon. Charizard's powerful flame can melt absolutely anything. "

So a Charizard was chaising it? What on earth was going on...?

She kept watching as Todd snapped pictures. If an Aerodactyl was still roaming around, did that mean other pokemon that were thought to be lond gone could still be alive?

Suddenly, they could hear.. singing? from afar and they tried to strain their ears to hear what was going on, but couldn't make out the words, but they did see the Aerodactyl fall, dropping something in the process and saw Charizard catch the object.

"..."

"..."

"... Wanna go check it out..?"

"Yeah.."

The two of them quickly made their way towards the area, Skye recalling all but Eevee back to their balls.

The two of them ran, their breaths coming out as loud pants as they hurried along, their feet pounding on the ground.

But by the time they got there, there was nothing there.

"Aw we missed it!" Todd whined.

Skye sighed and sat down on one of the rocks to rest.

Only to jump up right after. "What the-?!"

The rock, wasn't a rock at all, but a small Pokémon with a large brown shell covering its body. There were two small eyes facing upwards on the outside of its shell, and two pinkish red ones blinking under the shell.

Confused and still quite starteled, Skye pointed her pokedex at it. "Kabuto, the Ancient Pokémon. Though this Pokémon is now to be extinct, it had a hard shell that protected its body and is believed to have been a powerful swimmer. "

"Another extinct pokemon?!" Todd shouted and began taking pictures of the pokemon, but Skye stopped him after he had managed to take a few.

"Look at it, the poor thing is confused and disoriented. It looks so tired... Do you think that Aerodactyl was the cause of this?"

Todd looked thoughtful. "Well, it could be that there were people digging up fossils here, i heard there's been a lot of people doing that lately, maybe Kabuto was disturped by them?"

The Kabuto was trying to walk forward but kept falling over.

"... I don't feel good about leaving it here alone.." Skye muttered. "We should get him some medical attension first."

"You should catch it then. We can't carry around a wild, disoriented pokemon that might attack us in it's confusion. It would get some rest that way too." Todd suggested.

"... Alright." Skye nodded and took an empty pokeball out of her bag. "I'll call profesor Oak up so he can Kabuto treated when he transfers there." Gently she tapped Kabuto's shell with the pokeball and watched as Kabuto was drawn in. The pokemon didn't put up any resistance and gladly went in. In a flash, the pokeball was trasnferred to the laboratory of professor Oak.

Skye took out her Pokegear and called to Oak. "Hello? Professor oak?"

"Skye..? Is that you?"

"Yeah, it's me. Listen. I just caught a very disoriented pokemon and it was send to your laboratory, could you give him some medical attension?"

"Why of course Skye! What pokemon is it?"

"Well, it's an ancient pokemon called Kabuto-"

"AN ANCIENT POKEMON?! Oh my! I need to do some research!"

"Umm, professor? You are more than welcome to observe Kabuto, but please treat him soon."

"Of course of course. I will get right to it."

"Thank you professor. I'll call back soon to check up on Kabuto. Bye for now."

"Goodbye Skye, and keep safe alright?"

"I will."

The call ended and Skye sighed, looking back to Todd who had been observing her during the call. "So, you want to go to the nearest town to publish that photo you took of Aerodactyl and Kabuto?"

"Yes!" Todd alsmost squeeled which made Skye look him oddly.

"Alright, just keep in mind not to mention exactly WHERE you took the photos."

It was his turn to look at Skye weirdly. "Why?"

"Think about it for a moment. If there are more of the ancient pokemon around here, then a massive growd of people are going to stomp here and disturb the rest of them. You saw how tired Kabuto was, let's give the others their peace, okay?"

Understanding her point, Todd nodded.

"Alright..."

The two of them headed back to the road. Determinent to get to a cool, refreshing Pokecenter before the evening and have a nice meal.

Soo... what do you think? It wasn't as long as i hoped saddly, but i wanted to write a chapter as soon as i could since i've felt really bad about my absence. I'm going to star working on my movie plotline for now and hopefully i'll finish it before the next year .

Tell me what you think!
