Sundown

It was the break of sundown, and a long day of trailing the rocky terrains of Southern Fiore led the four wizards into a dark forest. Having ranged over the landscape for days, they finally decided upon the woods as their training grounds. The forest had everything to offer- strong trees as obstacles, abundant supplies of organic rations, and a waterfall, judging from the faint sound of breaking waters. They dropped their sacks to the earth and sat, the sounds of chattering monkeys and birds filling their tired souls.

"Set a campfire. I'll search for food," instructed Laxus Dreyar, the leader of the pack.

Freed Justine, one of the Thunder God Tribe, nodded. He rose and drew a blade from the fastened hilt on his belt, then effortlessly slashed at a nearby tree. The sound of flapping wings reverberated as black birds flew away, followed by the tumble of a giant heap of branches and twigs. Bickslow, the other male in the group, flashed a green light towards the fallen logs, instantly igniting a hot flame and raising smoke towards the low canopy of the wild.

"Do you want me to accompany you, Master?" asked Evergreen, the only female in the flock.

"No." Laxus retorted shortly. He walked away through a patch of rocky ground and then vanished into the woods. He had learned his way in the wilderness all throughout his adolescence, accompanying the older members of the guild. His grandfather and Gildarts, the two strongest Fairy Tail members, were the ones who taught him hunting and foraging through the wild. This forest was nothing out of the ordinary. It was a rainforest that thrives in the Fiorean climate and develops a moderately tall emergent layer.

Laxus proceeded to walk through the hanging branches until he realised the sound of water drawing closer. Shoving a draping bough off his face, Laxus continued to walk in the direction for twenty minutes until the sound of a waterfall was all he could hear. Then, he stopped on his tracks, and hidden beneath the leaf, was a tall and majestic cascade, roaring in the fainting light. From the tip of the falls, Laxus could see the last ray of sunset before it sank.

As nightfall arrived, Laxus wondered how long it had been since he last bathed. Feeling grime all over his sore body, Laxus removed the huge furred robe covering his muscular body and dropped it on a stone by the edge of the falls. His arthritic fingers then reached for the top button of his purple shirt and unbuttoned it. As it came off, he sensed a fleeting change in energy of his surroundings. There was a sudden but strong magical presence.

"An enemy?" Laxus thought as he veered his head around. He squinted, but saw nothing except the faint outlines of trees in the surrounding darkness. Raising a finger, he shot a bolt of lightning, illumining the region. Two small trees collapsed and cleared the path of his vision, but nothing was there. Unconvinced, he took another shot, clearing the darkness for a short second.

Nothing. Maybe it is just your feeling.

Throwing caution at the wind, Laxus brought his hands to his shirt and undid the second button on his shirt. He proceeded to do the same until all of them were undone. The muscled torso underneath was silently hiding behind the fabric until he pulled his open shirt apart, slid the top attire to his back, and liberated his rugged, muscular beast body. He flexed his sore arm muscles before dropping the shirt on another rock. He then continued with his tight trousers. Unbuttoning the hinge, he pushed the zippers apart and prodded his pants downwards.

One last time, Laxus looked around to see if anyone was there. He knew he was already too tired and dirty, so he convinced himself harder that he was probably just imagining things. However, there was no denying the killer instinct he had developed as one of Fairy Tail's best. There was something he sensed about the heaviness in the air that did not feel right. Nonetheless, his exhaustion dominated his thoughts and he slid his boxers down, leaving himself completely nude. Laxus tightened his magnificent body, his muscles rippling even in the dark. The dirt only helped to highlight the bulges on his incredible figure. As he stretched his arms and cocked his bare chest forward, he plunged into the cold water. His toes gripped the soft sand at the bed of the waterfall while the water rose up to his defined chest. Laxus inhaled a strong breath as he grew acclimated to the cold, tautening and relaxing his muscles repeatedly.

Cupping water in his palms, he slowly washed his body. The dirt slowly washed away as he scrubbed his arms. He then gently massaged his own chest and relieved himself of the strain of travelling. He softly moaned while tenderly brushing his sensitive nipples, his fingers rubbing the nubs and imagining two voluptuous women passionately sucking on them, one on each. Laxus then brought his hands to his thighs and kneaded his sore regions. While stroking his muscular legs, he unintentionally brushed his cock. He switched over and grabbed the flaccid member in his hand before slowly rubbing it until it became slightly hard, thinking of Erza or Mira or any other women he knew.

As Laxus was relieving himself, the sound of twigs breaking entered his ears. He had to pause, letting his hard cock off his palms and raising his hands into a fighting stance. Lightning sparks danced around his fingertips as he was ready to shoot. He sensed multiple footsteps. Two? Three? Three.

As lightning was at the tip of his hands, three familiar figures appeared. He let a breath go as he realised they were just the Raijinshuu.

"It took you so long so we decided to go and check." Freed said.

Evergreen stated, "Can we join?"

Laxus' eyes narrowed and he lazily answered, "No. Get out of here."

"Oh come on, we haven't cleaned ourselves in days!" Bickslow chimed in. "Starting tomorrow we are going to train very hard we won't have time to take stupid baths."

Laxus had not given them permission, but Evergreen had casually stripped to nudity and jumped into the pool. Freed and Bickslow followed suit and dismantled their jackets and robes.

"Hey!" Laxus uttered. Shaking in head in defeat, he buried his face underwater until the three of them have stripped and entered the pool. Freed and Bickslow approached the spot where the waterfall broke and stood peacefully under the heavy falling water, while Evergreen found a spot by the corner and leaned on the rocks while tidying her brown hair. They soaked themselves for a decent period of time. The water grew colder as the night became more apparent, but the longer they stayed, the more peaceful the air became and the harder it became not to grow comfortable.

By the time they were done soaking, it was pitch dark. As they stood up to retrieve their clothes, the cold night air chilled to the bone. The leaves surrounding them suddenly rustled heavily, shaking in the absent wind.

Laxus, particularly, shivered as a voice resonated through his ears. "The time has come, Laxus," it said.

"Who is that?" asked Laxus.

"Who is what?" Bickslow replied.

"That voice. Whose voice was that?"

...

"Nobody spoke anything." Evergreen said, bewildered.

"No, it was clear," said Laxus while walking towards the stone where he placed his clothes. He extended an arm to grab his boxers, but before he could reach it, vines had appeared from the dark cluster of trees surrounding them. The Raijinshuu immediately jumped over to Laxus' side and attempted to protect their leader. Simultaneously, Freed launched script writings that wilted the vines; Evergreen turned the vines into stone with her eyes; and Bickslow ordered his babies into a V formation, shooting green light and roasting the inanimate forms.

However, the vines kept coming. This time they were twice as large, but the three of them managed to slay them apart. After three more rounds of vines, the voice returned, "Laxus, I have come to get you."

The darkness of the forest and the coldness of the air, combined with the inherent wickedness of the voice, ran a jolt through his spine, but he stood his guard. Then, on the spur of a moment, four gigantic roots came from the ground and each bound to the four of them. The vines were too quick for anyone to notice, but in a split second, Laxus managed to roast the one that clung to him.

"Run!" Laxus shouted before he released thunder within his immediate vicinity. The Raijinshuu leaped away as the roots and vines were destroyed, but then more approached them from below. Burying his feet into the ground, Laxus took no step from his spot, while the three of them jumped away.

Laxus desperately tried shooting thunderbolts in all directions in hopes of protecting his three subordinates, but the roots hindered his vision and his bolts were barely enough to protect himself. He slashed off the strand-like structures- many of them, and spotted the Thunder God Tribe destroying some on their own, too, but it was all too quick. Suddenly, a quake reverberated through the earth. He knew an explosion was due in a split second, and all he could see next was velvet white, followed by pitch sable black.
