Sloth: Here's to another chapter and the start of the home stretch! The story is coming to a close. From the title, obviously this is a two parter. Granted, this whole story is a multi-parter, but whatever. I hope you guys are enjoying the ride.

I will have to say, sadly, we loose a character this chapter. I hope you will miss him as much as I do, but it had to be done.

On a lighter note, with this story coming to a close, I'd like to start on a new project. I thought about taking my Disney/Power Ranger story "A Samurai and a Princess Walk into a Bar" and continuing it. For those of you who don't know what's it's about, it's pretty much Chad from Sonny with a Chance being the red samurai power ranger while Sonny, from the same show, becomes Sailor Moon and the two of them and their respective teams, which are made from various Disney characters, trying to protect the world from monsters.

Another story I had in mind was a Lab Rats fanfiction. Maybe one where while Leo was in the parallel world, Marcus is his big brother. Another was about Chase.

Well, regardless of what I do, please review and enjoy the 15th chapter!

The Date to End All Dates Part 1

The pain was too strong. He had thought that he could handle it, he thought that if he just focused on all the things that made him human, he'd be able to handle the transformation. His mind jumped to things like math and his parents. Then to his sister. His friends flashed before his face. Benny, his best friend. Rory, the goofball that was as annoying as he was loveable. Erica…yeah Erica. Then Sarah.

He tried to keep his mind on Sarah. What would she think of him? He couldn't turn. Not with her here. Not with any of his friends here.

SNAP!

He fell to his knees as he felt his bones popping into place. Oh god how everything hurt. He could barely hear his friend, the blonde's voice becoming duller and the drumming in his ears got louder and louder. No. It wasn't a drumming. It was his heart. He whined, his ears feeling like they were going to explode. He wanted to jam his hands right into his ears and just rip them right out of his head.

POP!

He cried as his bones stretched. It felt like everything was on fire. His fingers, his feet, his nose! It all burned and he just wanted it to stop. He let out a strangled cry, dry tears moistening his eyes as he kept them shut.

CRACK!

The smell hit him harder than anything else. His nose burned as something disgusting filled his nose. It was like someone had taken rotten eggs and tried to mask the smell with the strongest perfume/cologne mix they could possibly find. He made him gag. He wanted nothing more than to find the bastard who thought they could put that on their body and just rip them into nothing.

"No! No I can't think like that. Focus. You can do this. D-don't let it get to you. Focus, Ethan. Focus!"

The scent was close. So close. He blinked through the tears burning his eyes. He saw blond hair, gold eyes, and teeth. Very sharp teeth. But his nose crinkled in disgust as the smell just cover came him. The smell of death now had the distinct hint of marshmallows. He snapped at the creature. There was something satisfying seeing the fear in the other creature's eyes. It got him excited. He snapped again and was soon chasing after the mess of blond hair.

There was an all-out war going on. He could hear the various heartbeats of the wolves. A part of him wanted to stop, to go help the others. But another part kept his body moving. He just kept dashing through the crowd, pushing past anyone who got in his way. Someone had even tried to jump in his way, their own teeth flashing at him and snarling. But Ethan ignored them, slipping past under their feet and tossing them over his shoulder like they were nothing.

He had lost the blond menace. He snarled, sniffing the air.

There. To his left. He could smell the dead marshmallows and…was that cinnamon rolls? He took off in the direction of the smell. He found himself picking up speed before leaping over two of his brethren.

They were big, in full wolf form. But he didn't seem to care. He simply wanted to chase after the two with the familiar scent. His kin, he only knew they were his pack because of how the smelled. They smelled like maple wood and wet grass. It was a calming fragrance, but even in the presence of people he knew, he couldn't help but kick and claw at them as he pushed his way through the crowd.

Someone tried to get in his way. His teeth was bared and he slashed the pup across the cheek. Ethan yelped in pain in surprise. He didn't understand why they would hurt him. But Ethan couldn't help but growl. His temper started to flare and he lunged at his aggressor.

The adrenaline of attacking his assailant seemed to stir something in him. He felt giddy on the inside. He couldn't remember the last time he felt like this. After he snapped the vampire's neck with just his teeth, he looked up, golden eyes darting around fiercely.

What was he doing before?

Marshmallows and cinnamon. He remembered those scents. They were farther than before, but they were just close enough for him. He pounded on all fours toward the smell.

He hopped over heads, pushing himself against his kin and enemies alike to get more air. After gaining some air, he saw the two head of blond and used his own momentum to fire himself off the ceiling like a scrawny rocket. The air whipped through his hair and helped him land right on them.

The force of his attack sent the blonds crashing through a door, splinters of wood flying down the flight of stairs. He stood at the top of the stairs, nostrils flaring as another scent slammed into him. It was like someone had stuck his nose into a bag of newly opened potato chips. And flowers. Flowers and potato chips. Who was responsible for that?

His golden eyes zeroed in on the source. A fair haired, dark skinned girl who stood in the middle of the two blonds. His pupils dilated. He licked his lips.

His legs bent and he shot off the stairs towards the girl, slamming into her and pinning her into the ground, ignoring the shrieks and cries of those around him.

….

..

Silver bullets were known to kill werewolves. It hadn't always been silver bullets obviously. Back before guns were invented, a hunter only needed to craft a blade made from the finest silver. The blade would then be needed to pierce the heart of the werewolf in order to kill them. Silver held magical properties that were renowned for harming any and all mystical creatures. Werewolves, vampires, shapeshifters, ect.

But what made silver bullets such a bitch was that if you missed the heart and still hit the flesh, the magical properties within the bullet would seep into the blood, preventing him from transforming unless he wanted to rip apart for muscle tissue. It would burn through the blood. It was almost as bad as wolvesbane. Almost.

Still, Derek had to grit his teeth hard as he could as he dug into his arm, sharpened nails digging around for the bullet lodged in his arm.

He could hear Jesse laughing his annoying laugh. What he wouldn't give just to punch Jesse right in the face and knock his fangs out.

"Aw, is the big bad wolf scared of a little o' gun?"

"Can it, Jesse. It figures that the only way you'd be able to beat me was with a gun," Derek sneered from his hiding spot. He cursed Jesse's good luck. Who would have thought that the vampire would be able to fire a bullet off a pot and right into his arm? It was like some kind of freaky vampire super-sense.

His ears caught the sound of heavy footsteps walking towards him. He cursed himself. He was so close to the bullet. Just a little bit more and he could yank it out and then-

CLICK

Derek looked up to see the barrel of a gun leering down at him with Jesse's smirking face just above it.

"Any last words, Morgan?"

Derek only sneered right back. He couldn't believe his luck. He was going to die from a damn gun. A gun. This wasn't exactly how he imagined going. Then again, whoever really thought about how they were going to die when they were immortal?

"Yeah," Derek glared. "Go suck a banana."

"Dude, that was the worst quip ever."

"Bite me."

"I'll do better."

Jesse aimed the gun but Derek kept face. He wasn't going to die a wuss. He just wished he could tell Ethan that he was sorry.

The bullet came out of the gun in slow motion, blasting out with a small flame as the trigger ignited the gun powder inside. It spun towards him, ripping through the metal of the gun towards his chest. As the bullet poked through the end of the gun, a massive wall of fur and teeth barreled through the air and into Jesse's side. The attacked caused the gun to change directions and the last second, forcing the bullet to fly out in an upward curve. The bullet just grazed Derek's ear, cutting a nice hole into his ear.

Derek flinched as his hand flew to his ear, caressing the new wound.

A sound bang echoed through the air and Derek looked towards the mass of fur and fell at Jesse's feet.

"You son of a bitch!" the vampire snapped as he held onto his bleeding arm. Blood ran down his forearm, his fingers twitching until they could no longer hold onto the gun and it clattered to the floor. The wound was pulsing as it festered and the blood started to turn black. With a violent kick, Jesse knocked the wolf back until he landed in a heap at Derek's feet.

Fur melted away, shedding as it receded.

"Hey, Boss," Adam breathed haggardly, his body shaking with every breath. "I got him."

"Yeah. Yeah you did, big guy," Derek chuckled as he pressed a hand on Adam's chest. Blood was oozing from the bullet wound. "Hang in there, Adam. You're going to be ok."

"I don't think so, Boss. He got me back," he shuttered.

Already Adam's body was turning grey. His flesh was shriveling, turning to ash.

"Take care of Chase for me, will ya?"

"Adam…"

"He likes to show off his brain, but he's a good kid. Just watch out for him for me?"

"Yeah. I'll do that."

"Thanks, Mason. You're the best," Adam smiled before he turned to ash and bone. Derek blinked back the tears.

"Aw, how cute."

Derek looked at Jesse. The vampire had black veins coursing across his left cheek. The gun was in his other hand now, the one with the bite mark was hanging uselessly at his side.

"Werewolf bites are deadly to vampires. You should go get that checked," Derek snarked.

"I'll live. Wouldn't be the first time I got bitten by a wolf. I just need the blood of an alpha wolf and I can make a cure for it."

"Is that so?"

"Yeah," Jesse held up the gun, this time aiming for Derek's head. "Now lay down and-"

A bullet flew through the air and cut into Jesse's hand, causing him to drop the gun. Derek stood there, a dark glare on his face, his bleeding hand held out like he had just flicked something. To be more accurate, he had just flicked the bullet that killed Adam at Jesse. As Jesse dropped the gun, Derek dug into his shoulder and pulled the bullet out. It clattered to the floor and Derek took off, pounding towards Jesse. The vampire looked up in time to see Derek shift into his wolf form and plow right into him.

….

..

There were many things Sarah had expected to happen as Ethan slammed into her. She imagined being torn apart by teeth and claws. She thought he'd slash her throat open before finishing off Erica and Rory. She imagined holding him back, desperately trying to reason for him as he clawed at her. There were just so many things he could do to her.

Licking her was definitely not one of the things she expected.

"Ew! Ethan, stop!"

She pushed him off her. He fell back onto his butt, but that didn't hinder him at all from trying to get back on her.

"Here, have a Rory."

"Wait, what?"

Sarah quickly used Rory as a human shield, to which Ethan growled at before snapping at the blond. With a high pitch scream that made Rory less than manly, he took off, with Ethan not far behind him.

"Um, what just happened?"

"I don't know," Sarah shrugged as she and Erica watched Rory run around the room with Ethan aggressively chasing him. "One minute he's trying to kill you guys and the next he's trying to lick my face."

"Oh my god, I got it."

"This should be good."

"He's still in love with you," Erica surmised.

"I beg your pardon?"

"Don't you see? He's still got a major crush on you. Since werewolves follow their inner most instincts his crush on you-"

"Became puppy love," Sarah concluded. "Great. Well at least I don't have to worry about him trying to kill me."

A crash and the two looked up to see Ethan had pinned Rory to the floor. The young blond kicked and twisted under Ethan's weight. The werewolf leaned forward, teeth snarling as he licked his lips in a manner that wasn't as friendly as it was towards Sarah. The girls shot forward, moving towards Ethan before the boy turned Rory into a chew toy.

"Ethan, no, bad!" Sarah reprimanded. She pulled the werewolf off their terrified friend. Rory got up, adjusting his shirt.

"Why does he always pick on me?"

"Maybe because you're an easy target?" Erica offered. Rory simply frowned in response.

Sarah held Ethan at bay as the young male attempted to attack Rory, snapping and clawing. The werewolf pulled himself out of Sarah's grasp. He twisted around, golden eyes glaring at the girl before he throwing a punch. Sarah ducked under the haphazard attack. She grabbed his arm and kneed him in the gut. He yelped.

"Oh! Sorry! It was just instincts!"

Ethan whined as he sat on the floor, looking up at Sarah as if he had just been admonished for digging up the yard.

"Ok, since he's obviously just a harmless puppy, why don't we-" Ethan snapped at Erica's outstretched arm, catching her jacket in his mouth. "Hey! Let go!"

"Ethan!"

"He's ripping my jacket!"

"Ethan, stop it! Behave!"

Whack!

Ethan yelped as Sarah whacked him on the head, the jacket slipping out of his mouth. He whined and all seemed well. He looked at Sarah, the aggression fading away into embarrassment. His ears drooped and he looked at Rory and Erica, giving them both apologetic looks.

"Well, he seems…behaved," Erica gathered with a sneer.

"Ethan, are you ok?" Sarah asked. He looked back at her and to her surprise, his eyes were no longer gold. They were their normal color and wide with innocence. She felt warmth in her chest at the sight. There were brief instances where his eyes would flash gold, but they would just turn back to normal and he would look up at her apologetically.

"Ethan?"

Ethan's entire body shook. He shut his eyes, groaning. The fur on his body started to recede, disappearing until all that remained was the hair on his head, completely and utterly disheveled as if he had just woken up. His nails shrunk back down to their normal, partially chewed on forms. His canines returned to normal. His bones popped back into place as he blinked back into reality.

"Sarah?"

"Ethan!" Sarah couldn't help herself. She threw herself onto Ethan, pulling him into a hug. She felt him freeze under her grasp, but he soon relaxed and the two enjoyed the embrace.

"You're back to normal. How?"

"I don't know," he told her. "I just knew I couldn't hurt you."

He looked behind Sarah and smiled at Erica and Rory. "Hey guys…Sorry I tried to eat you."

"Well you should be," Erica rolled her eyes. "You owe me a new jacket Wolf-Boy."

Ethan chuckled before turning to Rory.

"How's your arm? Is it bothering you?"

Rory looked down at the bandaged arm. Truth be told, it was bothering the hell out of him. He could feel it burning again and the urge to claw at the wound was getting stronger. However, they had other things to worry about and for once he decided to shut his mouth.

"No, it's cool. The potion's still working."

"What potion? What's he talking about?" Erica asked.

"He was bitten by a werewolf," he told them. "Don't worry, we've got it covered. We've got to get you guys out of here now. I can smell the others getting closer."

"Smell?"

"It's a werewolf thing. The whole time I was a wolf, I could smell everything. It drove me nuts. Like…like…"

"Like when Benny rips one in the elevator!" Rory guessed proudly. They all blinked at him.

"Uh…yeah, kind of. But worse. Anyways, that doesn't matter, someone's coming and he's not as friendly as I am." He told them, trying to push them towards the door. They didn't even make it before a loud thumb landed behind them. The foursome turned to see a large, snarling wolf.

Ethan pushed his friends behind him, eyes flashing as he recognized the werewolf.

"Hey, Chase. Nice to see you."

The werewolf snarled, barking at Ethan and his friends.

"Uh, down boy?" Ethan tried.

Chase seemed to let out a dog-like chuckle before taking off and tackling Ethan.

"Ethan!"
