Chess

I know I should be writing the next chapter of Maybe, just maybe, CharlieSpike18 I will write more soon, but this idea wouldn't leave me alone. By the way there are spoilers about Zero Sum Game so don't read if you haven't watched the episode.

Dylan knew that Sam had helped Tom with the chess; he couldn't have drawn the game without some sort of assistance. As he walked out of the hospital, Tom beside him Dylan spoke. "I really don't do hugs and I especially really don't do after work drinks." Tom thought for a second then spoke."I don't care, you can drink lemonade but you're getting your round in…" Tom was interrupted by a shout behind them. "Dylan!" Sam shouted. God what did she want? Dylan thought. When he didn't reply Sam shouted again. "Dylan, you got a sec?" Sam asked. "No, I'm late." He said, breaking away from Tom's side and walking ahead. Sam pushed past Tom and closer to Dylan. "I jus- I need a word." She said coming beside him. "Sam, I thought we said no more?" Dylan said tersely. "I just- thing have changed a little bit." He stared at her for a bit before looking away and smiling. Sam opened her mouth to speak but closed it again, obviously thinking about what she was going to say. "I've realised I'm...not quite ready to leave this place." Dylan turned to face Tom before gesturing with his hand at Sam. He looked at her again. "I'm afraid you're going to be stuck with me for a bit longer." Dylan raised his eyebrows, and looked away again, then at Tom. Dylan muttered something before walking away. Sam sighed and ran her fingers through her hair as Tom came passed her, awkwardly patting her on the arm, before walking off himself. Soon Sam was left in the car park alone with her thoughts. She stood there for a bit longer, thinking. I managed to tell him, that's a start, she thought, before turning on her heals and walking back in the hospital.

Hope it's good.
