Kagome stumbled out of the well and watched as the glow disappeared for the last time. She jumped back in over and over again, so many times that she lost count, trying to get back to the past, to her friends, to him. Pulling herself out one last time Kagome collapsed next to the well and cried. She cried and cried, the tears seeming to never end their river of sorrow. That was how her mother found her hours later as she helped her back to her room. Kagome cried for weeks only leaving her room to go to the bathroom, and even then the tears didn't stop, the only food that was eaten was a small bite every now and then, causing Kun-Loon to watch as her daughter began to waste away before her eyes becoming only a shell of herself.

Finally after two months Kagome still hadn't changed for the better, in fact she was so bad that it was becoming dangerous so Kun-Loon did the only thing that she could think of, she called someone that she hadn't spoken to in five years.

Picking up the phone and dialing the number Kun-Loon waited as the phone rang. After three rings a familiar voice picked up.

"Hello"

"Hello long time no hear how are you?"

"Kun-Loon? It certainly has been a while five years right. Well I've been fine but how are you and Kagome?"

"Well I'm fine but Kagome is the reason that I'm calling" Kun-Loon's grave tone carried across the line showing how serious it really was.

"What is it is something wrong?"

"Well as much as I would like to say that everything is alright it's not. Kagome lost some people that where very close to her recently and has been in a state of depression for the past two months. I'm really scared for her; she barely eats and only leaves her room when she absolutely has to."

"She must really have cared for these people but I don't see how I can help from where I am"

"I was hoping that she could come and stay with you for a while. Maybe she can even complete a school year while she is over there since she has not been able to study much here"

"That would be wonderful, have her pack and she can be here by the end of the week and start the new school term in a month"

"Great I will send her over and maybe I can stop by at Christmas to visit. Just I want to warn you that she will not the young girl that you remember her to be"

"I'm her father Kun-Loon I think I can handle her, well I'll buy her ticket and pick her up at the airport at the end of this week. Talk to you soon Kun-Loon, good-bye"

"Good-bye" The line went dead and Kun-Loon hung up before heading to her daughter's room to tell her that she would be spending the year at her father's house. Knocking on the door she opened it to find Kagome staring out the window at the well house tears streaming down her face.

"Kagome dear" She received no response. "Kagome this is just not healthy so I called your father and you are going to stay with him for the year." Kagome just turned and blinked at her mother before returning to look at the window. Finally at the end of her rope Kun-Loon lost her temper, grabbing her daughter's arm she dragged her downstairs and sat her down on the couch.

"This is it! I've had it Kagome, I know that you miss your friends especially him but you have to snap out of it. What would they saw if they saw you sitting here wallowing in your self pity and practically starving yourself in sorrow." Kun-Loon watched as her only daughters stared at her with hazy eyes seeing nothing. She was about to lose hope when suddenly she watched as the haze cleared from Kagome's gaze and she sat up straighter.

"They would say that they were disappointed in me and probably slap me until I got some sense back into me. I'm sorry mama that I've been acting this way and I think that you yelling at me has finally made me realize how stupid I was being" Kagome stood up and started to head back up to her bedroom.

"Where are you going Kagome?" The concerned mother yelled after her.

"You said that I was going to stay with Papa for a year so I better get packing" As Kagome turned and continued heading up to her room Kun-Loon smiled happy to see that her daughter had finally gotten her spirit back.

For the next week Kagome ate and ate to replenish all the nutrients that she lost in her mourning as well as packing all her clothing and anything else that she thought she would need. Two days before Kagome was to leave a letter arrived with the plane ticket and some instructions on what to expect after she arrived.

So finally when the day came to leave Kagome said god-bye to her grandpa and Sota before heading off to the airport with her mother. Waving good-bye as Kagome left her mother behind in check-in heading for her gate Kagome prepared herself for the new challenges that she would have to face in her father's world.
