Ch 76

Flickering Lights

"Oh my god." Ichigo groaned as he sat up on his bed. He put his hand over his face to stop the light from shining into his eyes. "What the hell," he said in a strained voice as he felt his head killing him. It felt like someone had punched him a thousand times in the forehead. "Oh, it hurts." He slowly lowered his hands and slowly noticed he was a naked with the sheets covering his lower body. "Why am I?" He then stopped his thought and his eyes shot around the room to realize he wasn't in his room at all. "Oh, I slept at Rukia's last night," he thought to himself. "But I don't remember planning that. I was going to sleep at home." He turned his head and saw a bunch of shots glasses lying around the whole room. He even saw some liquor bottles still lying on the bed. "Oh no. I remember now. Me and Rukia drank last night and got fucking wasted." He put his hands over his eyes as he felt his head pounding again. "Uuuuuugggh!"

He then felt something warm and soft pressing up against his back. And arms gently wrapped around his neck. He didn't need to look to know who it was.

"Why hello there sexy." Rukia chuckled softly as she rested her chin on his shoulder. "How are you this morning?"

Ichigo blushed as he felt her purposely pressing her breasts up against this back. "I'm okay." He laughed nervously. "But um…. What the hell happened last night?"

Rukia softly kissed the back of his shoulder a couple times. "You mean you don't remember?"

Ichigo chuckled softly. "Sorry I don't." He looked back at her.

"Well, that's not surprising. You were fucked up last night dude." She smirked.

Ichigo groaned. "Yeah, I feel it." He rubbed his eyes.

"It's called a hangover. You'll feel better in a little bit. Just give it some time." She patted his back. "I forgot you're a lightweight when it comes to alcohol. Having a drinking competition probably wasn't the best idea. Heheh."

"We had a drinking contest? Uuuugghhh." He rolled his amber eyes. "Why would I agree to that?"

"Well, I did sort of peer pressure you into it. But you did better this time. But, you still have ways to go until you can beat me though. But you were amazing in bed last night." She chuckled and started kissing his shoulder again. "I was screaming pretty loud."

Ichigo's face turned red. He hated and loved it when she spoke like that. But when he had a pounding headache from a hangover. Sex was the last thing on his mind for once. "Well good to know one of us remembers it." He sighed in annoyance as he rubbed his tired eyes again. "I need some headache relief pills."

"Alright," said Rukia. "I'll give you something to help you out." She slid her legs out of the covers and walked out of the room not caring she was naked.

A few hours later after he was feeling back to his old self. Ichigo was laying on his back with his arms and legs spread out gazing at the ceiling. He was wearing his white t-shirt and blue jean pants. "I don't know how much I can keep this up Keigo."

Keigo slowly spun around in his chair to look at his best friend. He was wearing a blue long-sleeved shirt and black shorts. "What is it this time? Did you and Rukia have another fight?"

"No." Ichigo shook his head. "The opposite actually. Everything is great. We've made up for lost time since I couldn't hang out with her that much when she was training for her fight with Hainkeo. We've gone on a bunch of dates and have seen a bunch of sights. Things are amazing." He said in a calm soft voice.

Keigo frowned at him in question. His eyes then shot around trying to figure something out. "Soooooo what's the problem then?"

"I want to ask her to slow down a little." He blinked a couple times as he kept gazing at the ceiling.

Keigo raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean slow down?"

"Rukia is still taking time off from her pro kickboxing career and I'm still preparing to go to college. So, right now we have a lot of time to spend together. It's great, but….."

"But?"

Ichigo sat up and he looked at Keigo with heavy bags under his eyes. "She's wearing me out, dude. We always travel together we never really sit back and relax. And we get drunk in her apartment all the time. I'm 19 I shouldn't even be drinking." He rung his hands through his orange hair. "And the sex just doesn't stop. I mean it feels like we do it almost every day. It's amazing, but I just want to slow down just a little. But I don't want to hurt her feelings. I just….." He slowly falls back on the bed. "I just don't know if I can keep this up." He exhaled slowly. "I'm exhausted."

"Hmmmmmm…." Keigo crossed his legs as he leaned back in his chair. He scratched the side of his cheek. "I see… I see." His eyes gazed down.

"How do I tell her nicely," asked Ichigo.

"Let me see if I get this straight." Keigo held up his index finger. "You are 19 years old and your dating a nice super-hot older 22-year-old woman. She is also a pro athlete that is literally getting more and more popular in the whole world." His expression then grew darker as he glared at Ichigo. "I, on the other hand, am a single man that has never had sex ever. And you're in my room. Telling me your tired because your insanely hot kickboxing girlfriend that loves you is having too much sex with you?"

Ichigo looked at Keigo with a bit of a confused look on his face. "Uuuuhhh yes."

Keigo closed his eyes. "Ichigo I'm not a fighter nor am I violent man." He then showed Ichigo his most intimidating glare. "But I'll tell you this," he said in a dark voice. "You get up and walk out of my room right now. And I won't take this baseball bat and hit you over the head with it until my arms get tired." Keigo then pulled out a large gold metal baseball bat from the side of his desk.

Ichigo had a chill go up his spine. He had never seen Keigo so genially angry before. It was a dangerous vibe he was getting. "Okay I understand your frustration, but Keigo I'm serious about this."

Keigo then swiftly lifted up his bat to smash him and Ichigo bolted out of Keigo's room a flash.

Keigo didn't pursue Ichigo. He sat right back down and went back to playing his pc game. "Please," he said to himself. "Having too much sex. TCH! No such thing."

Rukia sighed as he held her head up with her hands. Her cheeks were glowing red and small amount of drool was showing from her mouth as she was daydreaming about something she loved.

Rangiku sat across the table from her. She blinked a few times as she was trying to figure out what Rukia was doing. "Girl, what is wrong with you?"

"Oh, nothing." She turned her head and looked out the window. "Just thinking about something funny Ichigo said the other day."

Rangiku smirked, closed her eyes, and shook her head. "You are such a teenager."

Rukia looked at her strangely. "What's that supposed to mean?"

"You're so in love with your little boyfriend. It's kind of sick to watch," said Rangiku.

"Aw come on." Rukia shrugged. "It's not my fault. It just happened. Besides aren't you still in love with your boss Toshiro?"

Rangiku looked down and shut her eyes. "Yeah," she said it like she wasn't proud to admit it. "He's pretty great."

Rukia closed her eyes and smiled sweetly at her friend. "See? You and I are in the same boat."

Rangiku growled and she looked away. "Shut up."

Rukia chuckled in response.

"So, how much longer until you can start fighting in the ring again," asked Rangiku.

Rukia's violent eyes turned a little more serious. "Well, probably a couple more months. I saved up a good amount of money from my past fights and I just made a bunch more from the Haineko fight." Rukia sighed. She still felt a little sad when she said the name "Haienko." She was over her close hard loss, but there were still tiny fragments of sadness still lingering in her heart over that fight. Hopefully, someday she'll get revenge for that loss. She was still just as competitive as ever.

"That's good to hear." Rangiku smiled.

"Yeah…" Rukia leaned forward on the table and used her hand to hold up her head. "To be honest I'm kind of climbing the walls these past few weeks."

"Why?" Rangiku tilted her head in confusion.

"I love having the time off, but I usually get all my energy out of training. But now I'm not training anymore I just job in the morning and that's it. My fists are starting to get itchy." She put up her right hands and flexed it.

"You really love fighting don't you?" Rangiku smiled.

"I do," Rukia said softly. "I miss being in the gym and seeing everyone. I miss working up a good sweat and sharpening my skills. I miss seeing everyone working so hard. I miss the roar of the crowd when I enter the ring. The smell… The feeling…. And fighting all out against my opponent." She put her hand up to her heat. "I just love it so much. I'm getting excited just thinking about it." Rukia smirked and narrowed her piercing violet eyes.

"Fuck Rukia." Rangiku shifted in her seat. "Your one scary bloody thirsty bitch you know that?"

Rukia then snapped out of her warrior gaze and laughed. "Yeah, I know. I can't deny that. I'm pretty messed up in the head." She then looked more loving as she looked up. "But being around Ichigo so much the past few weeks has been amazing. I always have so much fun when I'm around him. I keep forgetting he's only 19." She blushed. "Not to gloat or anything but the sex is amazing…" She giggled.

"Shut up." Rangiku blushed as she laughed with Rukia. "I don't want to hear that from you."

"What do you mean? You always told me of your crazy nights with the guys you were with." She pointed at the blonde.

"That was different. I didn't love those guys like I do with To…." Rangiku stopped talking and she started drinking from her glass.

Rukia blinked at her for a few seconds and then smiled like a demon. "Well, I can't believe what I'm seeing. You love him."

"No, I don't." Rangiku shook her head. "I love the sex, but not him."

"That's not what you said." Rukia leaned forward. "You totally love your boss."

"His name is Toshiro."

"Who happens to be your boss." Rukia laughed.

"Well, at least he's not a high schooler." Rangiku frowned.

Rukia shot her a glare. "He's not a high schooler anymore. He's going to be in college. At least I'm not his secretary."

Rangiku glared back at Rukia. "At least my hair doesn't suck!"

Rukia and Rangiku both gasped and covered their mouths at the same time. None of them said anything for several seconds. It seemed stupid, but both Rangiku and Rukia were a little sensitive when it came to talking about their hair. It was a taboo thing to talk about.

The raven-haired woman brushed her front spiky bangs to the side. "Does it really look bad?"

The blonde shook her head. "No. You look cute as always. I'd kill to have bangs like you."

Rukia chuckled. "Thanks. I wish my hair was as long, gold, and pretty as yours."

Rangiku smiled back. "No way you rock the short hair girl. I could never pull it off. I'd look like trash. I think Toshiro would break up with me if I cut it."

"Are you kidding me you could totally pull it off. You're a Victoria Secret Model. You'd look really cute with short hair."

"Stop it." Rangiku blushed. "Well maybe someday." She flicked her golden hair over her shoulder. "I'll think about it."

A couple hours went by. People were walking in all directions in the underground subway.

"I hate taking the subway," said Rangiku as she dodged a group of three men. "It's always so crowded down here."

"Yeah," said Rukia "Soon I'm going to buy my own car and I won't ever have to take the bus or subway ever again."

"Hey, there's our train." Rangiku pointed to a large group of people piling into a train.

Both women ran and dodged the countless number of people and finally made their way. But by the time they reached the train the door closed right in front of their faces.

"Fuck." Rukia groaned as the train started to take off.

"Yeah." Rangiku rolled her eyes. She turned around and leaned back against the tile wall and crossed her arms. Guess we have to wait 10 minutes.

Rukia did the same thing only she sat down. "If we were only 2 seconds faster." She remained silent for several seconds and noticed the area around her more. "You know this place is kind of spooky. The lighting in here isn't very good. It's a little dim for my taste."

"Yeah," said Rangiku. "Not to mention the distant noises of the rails screeching in the distance makes me feel uneasy. This place kind of looks like something in a horror movie." The started the rub her left arm as she started to get goosebumps.

"Please don't say stuff like that." Rukia frowned.

"Really? Are you scared?" Rangiku looked down at her and smiled. "I didn't think anything scared you."

Rukia didn't say anything at first. She just looked in front of her with plain eyes as if she was thinking of something serious. "It's not fantasy monsters in horror movies I'm afraid of," she said in a serious voice.

Rangiku's eyes grew slightly. She hadn't seen Rukia like that in a while.

Rukia's expression then turned darker. "It's the monster in black you need to worry about."

The blonde swallowed hard. "The Espadas."

Rukia felt a chill go up her spine when she said that term. "Yeah," she said softly and closed her eyes as if she was trying to push the uneasy feelings away.

A few minutes passed by. Rangiku looked around and noticed more people were leaving the subways. "It's crazy how in one minute the subways are busy. And then the next second… Everyone's gone." She looked down and saw Rukia still sitting down with her legs crossed and her eyes shut. "Hey, Rukia. Is it true that the Kuchikis are the most powerful and richest family in the world?"

"It's not power… Just money. They can pretty much do everything with the countless piles of cash they have."

"Why do they have Espadas anyway? Why don't they hire more cops to guard them?"

Rukia opened her serious violet eyes. "I don't know much, but what I do know is there use to be one other family that challenged the Kuchiki's. It was called the Shihoin Family."

"Why does that sound familiar? Wait! isn't your coach Yoruichi's last name…."

"It is, but it's no not the same family." Rukia shook her head. "Totally different. Just a coincidence."

"What happened to them?"

"Well, this is what I've heard… But the Kuchiki and Shihoin didn't really like each other. They were both filthy rich families that owned great businesses. They were practically equals. Then one day two high ranking men got into a huge fight in a restaurant. The man from the Kuchiki Family got his ass kicked and he was injured pretty bad. Ritch men and women from the Kuchiki Family aren't exactly known for there fighting. So, the head of the Kuchiki's heard the word of the altercation. And he was pissed off. So, he pressed charges and sued the whole Shihoin family. It turned into an ugly legal battle for about a year. And then something weird happened. The Shihoin family called the Kuchiki's up and offered them a proposal."

Rangiku blinked her eyes. "What was it?"

"They decided to hold a contest between the two of them. Since they were getting nowhere in the courtroom they decided to handle it in another way. A private fight. The Kuchiki's strongest fighter against Shihoin's strongest. This is where it gets weirder. Apparently, this match was held on a tropical island that's privately owned by a third party. Only stupid rich assholes are allowed to travel there."

"With all the weird rumors surrounding the Kuchiki and the Shihoin Family. That honestly doesn't surprise me. So, who won."

Ruki stood up and looked at her friend. "Do you hear about the Shihoin Family business anymore?"

Rangiku's heart froze when she said that. "Woah…. Shit."

"Yeah. The Kuchiki family won. Apparently, the fighter that won called himself the Espada. Not surprising. So, after that victory. The Kuchiki's decided to make their own special bodyguards called the Espadas. All of them are well-trained warriors that wear black cloaks. If you see them. Run."

Rangiku laughed nervously. "Don't worry I will."

Rukia stretched her arms. "Anyway, that story was just a rumor I read about on the internet. So, it's most likely full of shit. But it's kind of a neat story. A private island that has a secret fight club." She smirked. "It be kind of cool if it were true. Well, a little bit at least."

"You are so weird." The busty blonde shook her head. Her eyes then grew slightly when she heard the noises of the train slowly approaching. "That must be it."

"Bout damn time." Rukia closed her eyes and yawned. "All this sitting around is making me sleepy." She looked down at her black open-toed shoes and brushed some dust off her blue jean pants and her dark blue blouse.

Both Rukia and Rangiku stood side by side as the train slowly approached and went to a complete stop. Rukia saw no one through the tiny windows. "Alright." She smiled and turned to Rangiku. "We lucked out. We got the place to ourselves." The silver metal doors slowly opened.

Rangiku eyes grew in horror. "Ru…. Rukia?" She pointed in front of her.

Rukia blinked in confusion as she kept her eyes on her friend. She looked in front of her. A single young girl with emotionless violet eyes stood in front of them. She had short raven hair with front spiky bangs. She had on a long flowing white dress and white opened toed shoes. Hisana.

Rukia felt her heat sink to her stomach again and she felt her whole body froze in an instant.

Rangiku took a few big steps back as her hands started to shake. "What the fuck?" She spoke softly with fear.

Rukia showed her teeth as she felt her hands starting to get sweaty.

"Hello ladies," Hisana said in her usual soft professional tone.

"The fuck!?" Rangiku's jaw dropped. "She even sounds like you. Rukia who is this!? Your twin!? You have an identical twin?"

"I see." Hisana walked out of the train with her hands behind her back. At the same time, Rangiku and Rukia stepped back to stay at a safe distance away from her. "So Rukia never told you about me huh Ms. Matsumodo?"

Rangiku gasped. She was a little freaked out. Not only were there two Rukia's standing in front of her, but there was something odd about this girl. She had an uneasy feel to her. Plus, her eyes were murderous looking. That and her voice sounded a tad haunting too. She was definitely out of the ordinary. Rangiku knew a lot about Rukia. But she never said anything about having an identical twin sister. And to make matters even creepier Hisana knew who she was. There was something dangerous about this woman. "You know my name!?" The blonde looked at her friend. "Rukia what the fuck is going on? Who is she? And how does she know me?"

Rukia glared back at her older sister and gritted her teeth together as she felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand.

"Hisana Kuchiki." She curtseyed. "Pleasure to make your acquaintance."

"Hisana." Rangiku then forced a smile. "Oh, I see. I'm sorry. I was just…"

"Rangiku get on the train," Rukia commanded as she locked eyes with Hisana.

"What?" Rangiku blinked at her in confusion.

"Get on the train now," Rukia said in a strained voice. "I will meet up with you later."

Rangiku's eyes grew in shock when she studied Rukia more. Her hands and legs were shaking and she had such an intense look on her face. "Ru….. Rukia." She held her hand out to grab Rukia. "What's…. What's wrong."

"Ran please get on the train I'll explain everything later. Now go."

Rangiku felt her stomach tighten. And eerie feeling started to sink its claws into her. Something told her if she went on that train. She might never see Rukia ever again. She swallowed. "N…. No. I'll stay here and keep you company. Besides." She forced a smile. "I want to meet your sister."

"Actually, Rangiku I'd prefer if you get on the train as well," Hisana said calmly. "Rukia and I have a lot to talk about." She then looked back at her little sister. "Isn't that right little sis?"

Rukia looked at Hisana like she wanted to smash her brains out with her fist, but she held herself back somehow. "Yes, big sis. We do" Rukia said calmly. She turned and looked at her friend. "Ran seriously its okay. Just go." She smiled warmly at her. "Will talk soon."

A light in the distance started to blink off and on. Rangiku swallowed. She looked at Hisana and Ruki one more time to make sure this wasn't a dream. "Oh….. Okay. I'll see you later then. Thanks for lunch." She then looked at Hisana. "It was nice meeting you Hisana."

Hisana smiled back at her. "Likewise Rangiku. I hope we can talk again soon."

"Ye…. Yeah." Rangiku swallowed again. She was seriously creeped out. Something really didn't feel right about Hisana. She knew something was wrong, but she didn't know what. She didn't want to leave, but if Rukia said it was seriously okay then she believed her.

It was actually getting hard to breathe the longer she hung around. She finally walked slowly past Rukia and Hisana. She walked in the train and she turned her head as the doors slowly closed. The train made a loud beeping noise and it slowly drove off leaving both Rukia and Hisana alone in the dimly lit subway.

Both Hisana and Rukia locked eyes not saying a word to each other. The whole area around them was now completely deserted. All the people were gone.

Rukia felt sick to her stomach. She didn't think in a billion years she'd run into Hisana down here. She must have been following her this whole time. Creepy. This was not good. But Rukia slowly exhaled through her nose and tried to calm down. She knew why Hisana was here.

"So, you want to do it here?" Rukia asked.

Hisana blinked at her. "No, not here. Not dressed like this." She looked down at her pretty white dress. "I haven't worn something like this in a long time. It feels weird to walk around in this."

"Then what is it Hisana? Cut the bullshit." She narrowed her violet eyes.

Hisana sighed. "Very well." Her right hand then reached into her pocket and she pulled out a small white envelope. "This will explain everything." She then placed the envelope on the ground and slide it over to Rukia with her foot.

Rukia reached down, picked it up, and slowly placed it in her pocket. "Alright," she said. "Is that all? You came all this way to scare me and my friend in the subway and give me an envelope. What is wrong with you Hisana?"

"Me?" Hisana's eyes rose in surprise. "You're the one who decided to leave our family."

"The Kuchiki's are not my family!" Rukia snapped. "You were the one that decided to join them."

"It was the only way to pay for mom's medical procedure to heal her." Hisana frowned. "You know that lil sis."

"We could have figured out a better way. You never came to me to discuss it. You just took the matter into your own hands and didn't even consider my thoughts and feelings on the matter. And stop calling me lil sis. You call me that again and I'll smash your head up against the fucking wall. Ichigo isn't here to save you this time."

Hisana smirked. "That's funny. Thinking you can take me on after having your little kickboxing lessons. That's quite adorable."

Rukia smiled back at her. "Do I detect some jealousy in your tone. If I remember correctly you wanted to be a pro kickboxer yourself. Right Hisana? It must really get under skin seeing me live the dream while you spend your days as nothing, but a slave to the Kuchiki family."

Hisana's smile vanished. "I am a slave to no one," she said in a hateful tone. "I'm working to save mom's life. What have you done with your life?"

"I followed my dream." Rukia glared back. "You chose your life and now I chose mine. Unless you got a problem with that?"

"As a matter of fact." Hisana clenched her fists. "I do."

Rukia clenched her fists as well. "Bring it on then bitch."

"I promise you Rukia. You don't want to do this. You really don't." Hisana said in a calm haunting tone.

"You may have everyone else scared Hisana," Rukia spoke in a determined voice. "But no matter how much time has passed. I still know everything about you. And believe me… I'm not worried."

"You really think so," Hisana smirked. "You have no idea." She took a slow deep breath and slowly exhaled. She looked back at her little sister with her usual emotionless expression. "Read that envelope Rukia. This is the only time I'm going to do this." She turned and started to walk away. "If you don't show up. I will hunt you down."

Rukia kept her sharp eyes on Hisana until she slowly disappeared. She then took a huge sigh of relief. She put her hand over her heart and took a few deep breaths to try and calm her nerves. She then reached into her pocket and pulled out the envelope. "Don't worry," she said. "I'll be there."

Things are never good when Hisana shows up in front of Rukia. Let me know what you thought about this chapter. I know its not as long as my others, but I was actually able to write this one pretty quickly. And I also wanted to get updated. Just to prove I'm still around. lol

But honestly, let me know what you thought. I was sort of going for a creepier and unsettling feel near the end. I wanted Hisana to seem intimidating. So your comments are always welcomed. :)

I wish I had time to write more, especially when things are going to get crazier from here on. Hahahhah! Oh man! Things are going to chaaaaaange. Just you wait. Heheheh!

Just so you know no matter what happens. Just keep your faith in me. Okay? And that is pretty much all I will say about that.

On another note. I don't read other fanfics much, but I am reading a Sailor Moon fanfic called A Basket Ball Affair. A lot of you probably know of it. It's really good. I haven't finished it yet.

Oh and Avengers 3 trailer finally got released. Super awesome.

Anyway thanks for your patience. I'm working on the next chapter as always.

Thanks again reading and for your reviews. They really do mean the world to me.
