JJ had her feet up while she was sitting on the couch with a hand thrown over her eyes. She heard Will moving around in her kitchen and was pleasantly surprised to feel him place a wine glass in her free hand.

"Just what I need." JJ cracked a smile and peeked out from behind her hand.

"Don't get used to it. Once in a while isn't going to do any harm but don't be going crazy on me." He winked at her.

Will pressed a kiss to her cheek before sitting down next to her. He tapped her hand, motioning for her to lean up so he could wrap an arm around her shoulders. JJ nuzzled into his side while taking a few sips or her wine.

"How was work this week?"

JJ sighed, "It was ok. PD in Kansas used a profile we gave them to catch a serial. PD in California didn't listen to our profile and arrested the wrong person while the real killer slaughtered an entire family. It was touch and go."

Will squeezed her closer to him, "You can't force your insight down their throats, babe. Not your fault if they don't listen."

"Yeah I know. It just sucks when shit like this happens."

Will's fingertips started massaging JJ's shoulder. He could feel the knots in her muscles where she'd been on edge all week. "Come on. We're goin' upstairs." He took the drained wine glass out of her hand and set it on the coffee table before scooping her up.

JJ groaned, "I was content right there."

His footsteps stopped, "Well I was gonna give you a massage but if you wanna go back to the couch then sure…" Will's voice trailed off.

The blonde in his arms perked up, "Well in that case!"

Will snorted, "That's what I thought." He carried her up to their bedroom and laid her down. JJ was sprawled out on her back with her hands behind her head when he returned from brushing his teeth.

Will crawled up next to her on the bed and laid a hand on her covered stomach. The grin on his face was infectious and soon JJ pulled him up to her level so she could kiss him.

"Don't get all lovey dovey on me now. It's too late for that." JJ nuzzled his nose with hers.

He laughed, "We've got all weekend for me to be lovey dovey, hun. Can't help it." His hand rubbed over the slight bump forming on her abdomen. "I'm just happy to be with you."

JJ smiled back at him and rested on of her hands on his, "Well I'm happy to be with you too. What a coincidence."

Will leaned in to kiss her before resting his head on a pillow next to hers, "We're gonna be parents, Jay."

The blonde nodded, the smile still on her face.

After two blissfull weekends together, JJ thought it was almost too good to be true as she set up plans for a third.

"So, what's your flight number?"

"3304. Jay, I can take a taxi."

"No, I'm going to come pick you up!"

"Hey, you know I was just going to stop and pick up some stuff for your little bump."

JJ laughed, "Yeah, exactly! I can't have you free to pick out a crib without me!" She twirled a pencil around in her hand while she sat at her desk.

"JJ will you get the team together? We have a case." Hotch appeared at her door and she quickly muffled her phone against her blazer.

JJ frowned, "Nothing's come across my desk."

"This one came directly to me." Hotch's reply seemed strained but he quickly left before she could ask more.

She put the phone back up to her ear. "Uh, don't head to the airport just yet, ok? I'll call you as soon as I can." She tried to smile but her mood had just been dampened dramitcally.

There was silence for a few seconds before she heard her boyfriend quietly sigh.

"I know. I love you."

"I love you too, JJ. Talk to you soon."

The first day was less than ideal. Not many leads, another victim and high levels of stress. Locals weren't cooperating very well and it was all taking a toll on JJ. Second day was more of the same. JJ tried to stay upbeat but with a serial killer or killers on the loose, it was hard. They contemplated gangs or groups of people, but with the loose profile they had, it didn't help much.

JJ, Hotch, Prentiss, and Reid were all walking out of NYPD when Reid spoke up, "JJ." He nodded over at a little sitting area by the lobby.

JJ looked over and saw her boyfriend with a suitcase and a bag packed. He stood up with a smile on his face.

She looked over at him in disbelief, "Will?"

"Hey, I was in D.C…figured a train ride to New York was only a few more hours."

The other members of her team shook his hand, but Will continued to talk. "I'm sorry for showin' up like this. I know you're workin'." He glanced away from Hotch and looked right at JJ, "I can't stand you bein' on this case and me not bein' here." He shook his head, "Not with what's goin' on." There was an awkward silence after he was done.

JJ looked at him blankly. She couldn't believe he had just outed her in front of half of her team.

"Is there a problem?" Hotch's question came from over her left shoulder.

JJ stared incredulously at Will for a few seconds before turning around to face Hotch, Reid, and Prentiss. She swore there was a hint of a smirk on her boyfriend's face. She took a deep breath and shrugged before announcing, "I'm pregnant."

Reid's eyebrows immediately shot up. Emily broke into a huge grin, "Oh my god, JJ! Congratulations!" She gathered JJ up in a big hug.

Hotch shook Will's hand again. JJ heard the familiar southern drawl again behind her, "I've asked JJ to marry me."

"Will." She looked back at him, willing him to stop talking before she hugged Spence next.

Will shrugged, "We're workin' out some kinks."

"We'll give you both some privacy." Hotch quickly turned around and walked off.

JJ ran after her boss, "Hotch!"

He turned around abruptly, "JJ, you could have told me!" She couldn't place the look on his face. Was he hurt? Mad? Concerned?

JJ nodded, "I know."

"Listen, I understand if you need to take some time."

She cut him off, "No, I want to be here."

His stern face gave away nothing, "Ok. 7 a.m." He walked away for good this time.

JJ turned around to go back to Will. Emily patted her back as she walked by.

As soon as her team members were gone, the façade dropped, "Are you crazy?" Will just had his signature smirk plastered across his face as he took her hand. "I told you I couldn't get any personal time!"

"Come back to D.C. with me tomorrow."

"Will, you're not serious."

"They know now. They'll understand."

"Will! We're covering a case with six murders!"

"Exactly." Will nodded, "Your job is too dangerous now."

"Yeah, exactly like yours! What are you gonna do? Give up your shield?"

Will was silent.

"Look, I love the gesture and I love the romance, but…we're both going to be parents, Will. Neither one of us has the typical job."

Will didn't give up, "Look, the first thing a cop does when she gets pregnant, is she takes herself out of the field."

JJ gave in. She was exhausted, "Ok, you know what? We only have until seven, so can we just argue about names and cribs?"

Will glanced up at her with a pathetic look on his face, "Only if you let me win."

Will wrapped his arms around her and she nuzzled into his neck, "Not a chance." She then placed a kiss to his cheek.

"You know pizza isn't very healthy…" Will trailed off as he dished up a slice for JJ in their hotel room. They were lucky that JJ hadn't had to share with Emily and had a room to herself.

"Really? You're going to start dictating what I eat now too?" JJ had just taken off her blouse to reveal her tank top underneath. She grabbed the plate from Will with a huff before sitting down at the little dining table.

Will sat down next to her, "I was just sayin'…"

"Well don't say anything next time."

They ate their pizza in relative silence before Will spoke up again, "What about Jeff?"

"For a boy's name? No." JJ looked disgusted.

"What? Why? Jeff was my best friend's name in high school."

JJ had a short reply, "Dahmer."

"Charles?"

JJ shook her head, "Charles Albright."

"Who the hell is that?"

She ate the last of her pizza, "Killed women and cut their eyeballs out of the sockets."

Will sighed, "Ok, what about girls? Mary? That's nice."

Another shake of the head from JJ, "Mary Bell. England. Murdered little boys."

"Martha?"

"Martha Beck. Florida. Killed more than 20 women with her boyfriend. Martha Johnson. Georgia. Killed three of her children."

"Is every name I bring up going to be associated with some serial killer?"

JJ got up and threw her plate away before changing into some athletic shorts and flopping onto the bed, "Probably."

"How do you even remember the names, Jay? I mean, Dahmer I should've guessed but the others? Really?"

She shrugged as she watched him take care of the pizza box and change into his pajamas, "I studied a lot while trying to get into the academy. Their names stick."

Will turned on the TV, grabbed the remote and crawled up next to JJ, "Well do you have any ideas? There has to be a serial killer with about every name in the book."

JJ reached out to run her hands through Will's hair, "I was thinking, William."

Will looked up at her, "William MacDonald. Australia's first real serial killer." He winked at her. He received a slap on the head for that one.

"I think I know a better William to name him after though…"

"'Never name a child after its father in case they become more famous than you.'" Will retorted.

JJ snatched the remote from his hand and turned it to a mindless sitcom, "And who said that?"

"Robert Downey Sr."

She snorted, "Well I don't think we have to worry about giving birth to Iron Man, Will."

Will turned over on his side. His head was about level on the bed with her stomach. He reached out a hand and placed it on her abdomen, "You don't know that!" He scooted closer and dropped his voice to a whisper, "Don't worry, bud. I won't put a limit on your success like mommy just did."

JJ grabbed his shirt and pulled him up until they were nose to nose, "That's at least going to be his middle name."

"What if it's a girl?" Will pecked her nose with his lips.

She rolled her eyes, "We'll figure it out."

"Alright, so there was our argument about names…what about cribs? We've got…" Will glanced over at the clock, "Nine hours till you have to go back to work. Let's do this."

JJ pursed her lips, "You know what else we could do?"

Will's head rested on her arm, "What?"

JJ answered by trying to unsuccessfully take off the shirt he was wearing with the arm not under Will's head. She gave up, frustrated.

"Hmm…I think I can help you out there, ma'am." He sat up and threw his shirt off before peppering her face with kisses and snaking a hand under her top.

JJ woke up to her alarm. She was confused as to why there was an arm around her waist and a body next to her in the hotel bed.

"Mornin' beautiful." Will stretched and rubbed her bare side, trying to wake her up.

JJ snuggled under the covers and turned into Will's chest with a yawn, "I could get used to waking up like this before work."

"You should get used to it. It'll be happenin' every day soon." Will wrapped his arms around her once and squeezed before letting her go.

She placed a kiss to his chest before rolling away from Will and throwing a shirt and her shorts on.

Strong arms wrapped around her form, "We can celebrate more tonight."

JJ looked up, her brow furrowed, "You're staying?"

Will shrugged, "I don't have anythin' better to do. I mean if you want me to go, I can start unpackin' my stuff at home..." Will's hold on his girlfriend loosened, unsure if he was being overbearing or not.

JJ kissed him on the cheek, "If you want to stay, you're welcome to. I just won't tell the Bureau that I had an unexpected guest in my hotel room." She winked at him.

JJ broke away from him to start getting ready for work. She hurriedly got dressed and did her hair while Will slipped some clothes on. She grabbed her work bag and he walked her down to a waiting SUV.

"JJ," she turned around after putting her bag in the passenger seat. Will sounded serious. "Stay in the precinct today?"

She immediately stiffened, "Will..."

He grabbed her arms, "I'm not sayin' quit workin'." He sighed, "Alright how about you don't leave unless you're with Morgan?"

JJ's laugh rang out across the relatively quiet New York street, "Why Morgan?"

Will looked down uncomfortably, "I trust him to protect you..."

"Guy saves my life once, you think he'll do it everytime?"

Will still looked uncomfortable despite JJ's teasing.

"Hey, look at me." She raised his face up to her level, "I won't leave without him, ok? If that gives you more peace of mind, I'll do it."

He smiled before pressing his lips to hers.

"Could I make an exception to the rule for Emily, too, though?" JJ asked sweetly.

Will rolled his eyes, "Why Emily?"

JJ shrugged, "She can fend for herself. You'd be surprised at what she can do."

Will saw the look in JJ's eyes. She honestly trusted the tall, dark-haired agent with her life. "Alright. But only Morgan and Emily, deal?"

"Deal." They walked over to the drivers side door and Will gave her a searing kiss before helping her up into the SUV.

"Be safe." Will put a hand over her abdomen, "Both of you."

JJ looked down at the man who adored her so much, "You too."

"I'm stayin' in the hotel. Got some sleep to catch up on." He winked at her.

"Get some rest for tonight. We've got some celebrating to do." She winked back before giving him another kiss.

Will smiled before shutting her door. He mouthed 'I love you' through the window before she drove away.

The next day, the team gave the profile and continued to work diligently. They sent NYPD out in full force canvassing certain areas. Morgan went head-to-head with Hotch and the lead agent in the home field office. He wasn't making many friends. The body count was upped to seven before the end of the day. Rossi and Reid were worried that it was turning more into domestic terrorism by the second.

Emily and Detective Cooper were sent off together. Emily let me in on her plan to set him straight with profiling and she gave me her profile of him first. She texted me later in the day to let me know her profile was dead on. I gave a little smirk when I read it.

Seconds after, everything was chaos. Another victim was shot extremely close to Prentiss and Cooper. Cooper was shot by the suspect, who in turn, was shot several times by Emily. Emily was shaken and I offered to drive her back to the precicnt.

In the meantime, Rossi and Reid discussed their terrorism theory with Hotch.

"You ok?"

Emily was wringing her hands as if trying to get blood off of them.

"I'm fine."

"Bullshit, Emily."

The brunette agent jumped. She hadn't expected JJ to call her out.

"No, you weren't shot, but your partner was. It wasn't your fault."

"If I had run faster..."

"No if's, Em! What happened, happened."

Emily sighed and leaned her head back on the headrest. "This sucks."

"I know."

JJ continued to drive back to the precinct. They were walking in when JJ suddenly laughed. Emily looked confused so JJ explained, "I promised Will this morning that I wouldn't leave the station without Morgan."

Emily scoffed," Why only him?"

JJ shrugged, "Will figures he already saved my life once, he can do it again. But, I did make an argument for you as well."

Emily opened the door for JJ as they walked in, "And what was my verdict?"

"I convinced him you were an acceptable babysitter as well." JJ winked at her friend.

Prentiss laughed before stopping to get coffee, "Well, for that, I'm glad. Let me know when you need looking after. I will gladly fulfill that duty."

"Thanks, Em." JJ turned to continue in to the room where the BAU had set up, but Emily's hand on her arm stopped her.

"No problem, JJ. And congratulations again."

JJ smiled as Emily wrapped her in another hug. She usually wasn't a very huggy person but apparently announcing someone was pregnant brought out the touchy-feely side of the stoic agent.

"Let's go catch our killer."

JJ was just about to leave with Reid to go talk to Port Authority when one of the secrataries stopped her to deliver a parcel. She was confused but she reached in and pulled out a letter. She would recognize that scrawl anywhere.

Dear JJ,

I'm going home to New Orleans tonight. I don't want to be in the way. You can keep this badge. I won't need it anymore.

I love you,

Will

JJ felt a lump in the manilla envelope that she was holding and reached in and pulled out Will's badge. New Orleans Police Department Detective 386 graced the gold star. She was left speechless until Hotch ordered her to go inform Will about their situation before heading back to run point at the office. She grinned at his excuse to send her away and keep her safe at the same time. JJ didn't waste any time in scurrying off to the hotel.
