Well, this epilogue wasn't quite a planned thing. But as I have begun writing more stories for Merlin and Morgana, I thought it the right thing to do to wrap up some loose ends. Also, one of my reviewers kindly suggested that an epilogue might be a good idea, so thank you! I was actually going to include some of this in my next story, but it made so much more sense in this one. I'm really excited for the story I'm working on now-it's going to be intense! But even before that one, I'm going to have a one-shot that will include a favorite character in the series...Gwaine! :) Yep, it will be the introduction of him, and there will be some flirting involved (of course). I also wrote the one-shot story "Morgana Meets Kilgharrah", which has already been posted. So please check it out before reading any future stories of mine! I'd really appreciate it. It's short, I promise. And it's a precursor to other events that will happen. But I do hope you enjoy reading this epilogue. I loved writing it. Oh, and the part where Merlin pulls Morgana into the small corridor is reminiscent to when Arthur pulls Gwen aside. Hope you caught the parallel. ;)

Also, thank you SO much to the Anon reviewer who has been posting reviews for "There is Another Way" and also for this story. You know who you are. :) And I really hope you get to this point where I'm thanking you, because your reviews have really been awesome. I'm so glad you've been enjoying the stories, and I wish I could personally thank you, but unfortunately fanfiction will only let me respond to registered users. But THANK YOU for your reviews. They really mean a lot.

Six weeks.

Has it really been that long already? Morgana reflected as she sauntered down one of the castle halls. She could hardly believe how the days had flown by since her encounters with Erwan, Frederick, and Morgause. She had still received no word from Morgause, but perhaps that was for the best. And Frederick had kindly informed her in writing of his safe return to his kingdom. Erwan had been tried and found guilty, but Frederick's sister had graciously pleaded for his life, allowing Erwan to return to his home. However, Erwan's father had been informed of his son's misdemeanors, and, being outraged, vowed to keep a close eye on him. So perhaps Erwan wasn't completely off the hook.

Morgana nearly screeched as she felt herself being pulled into one of the castle's nooks, but she sighed in relief when she discovered that it was only Merlin.

"Merlin! What are you doing?" she huffed.

"Shhh. I wanted to see you…and give you this." Merlin slowly pulled a book from behind his back and placed it in her hands. He proceeded to pull the tapestry closed around them as well.

"What is it?" Morgana asked as she leafed through the pages. Her eyes widened as she realized what it was before Merlin even answered.

"It's a book Gaius gave me that helped me when I was first learning…well, you know…"

"It's a book of spells!" she muttered under her breath. "Oh, Merlin…are you sure you don't need it?"

Merlin shrugged. "I've pretty much memorized that book anyway. And I know where to find it. But Morgana, you must keep it in a safe place. No one must ever find it. In fact, I probably shouldn't even be letting you borrow it. Do you have a hiding place?"

Morgana's eyes lit up. "I think so. There's a loose tile underneath my bed that only I know about. I used to keep my journal there."

Raising his eyebrows, Merlin's tone became more teasing. "You used to keep a journal?"

"Doesn't every girl?"

"Well, yes, but you're not like every girl."

"Come now, Merlin, if that's your attempt at flirting you have a lot to-"

Morgana paused midsentence as Merlin's lips brushed her own in a surprising kiss. As he pulled her closer, she relaxed and let her hands travel to his shoulders, feeling bolder than she had before. She had been kissed by Merlin twice now, but this one felt…different. And considering that they had avoided any talk of their feelings in general over the last few weeks, this was a welcome reprieve.

Footsteps echoing out in the hallway forced Merlin to pull away. A sheepish smile tugged at the corners of his lips.

"I..uh…hadn't planned to do that. It just sort of…happened."

"I'm glad it did," Morgana whispered smugly.

Merlin blushed and scratched the back of his head, a quirk Morgana noticed him do quite often whenever he was embarrassed.

"Well, uh…I probably should go before we get caught."

Morgana nodded, trying desperately to hide the grin that was just threatening to form on her face. "Right, of course. Thank you again…for the book."

"Just remember…guard it well." Merlin planted a kiss on her forehead before exiting through the tapestry.

"I will," she replied softly as she raised two fingers to touch her lips. It was then that she allowed herself to smile.

And she continued smiling for the rest of the day.
