A.N.: I own NOTHING! (Updated 2020)

When Needed

The war was over.

At what cost? Thought General Walter Tillman. The Allies won, however, many have died. The news had come in over the radio of the whereabouts on {Hitler's bunker} from Papa Bear. After that; nothing. That was the last transmission of the Unsung Heroes. Papa Bear aka Colonel Robert E. Hogan and his men were gone. The underground was concerned. Tillman leans back in his chair looking over the fantastical reports from the men who "served" at Stalag 13. The main report states that after the mysterious disappearance of Papa Bear and his main group of men, the rest of the men in the camp closed up shop and left; as was the protocol. The Germans surrendered a days later. He had hope that with the end of the war, Hogan would show up.

Tillman stood, taking off his reading glasses and walked over to the window. Looking toward the airfield, he sighed to himself, "too much to hope for."

He looked back towards his desk at the open file. A picture was lying on top. A Sergeant Riley had taken the photo when the first mission as a team was completed. Five men. Good men. Three Americans, a Frenchman, and an Englishman were smiling back at the camera. The General, having walked back to the desk, picked up the photo. He couldn't help but smile back at the photo.

Maybe. He thought with a grin, just maybe…. With Hogan…there's always a chance.
