Alright, readers! Sorry for the long wait on this update. I lost hope for my writing since someone I cared for hinted I wasn't good enough to be a real writer (I've just been told otherwise). And so, ladies and gentlemen, the end of Beautiful Lies. I really hope it was worth the wait.

Inuyasha visited the next day to see how Kagome was doing. He didn't care about Koga much, but he asked anyway because Kagome cared. Hojo didn't look like he was going to get better, but Sesshomaru held out hope. That was enough for Inuyasha, since Sesshomaru didn't hold out hope for just anything.

He came in a week later to tell Kagome Hojo was starting to come around, and found her crying. She looked up at him and he stopped. She showed him her mark, which had faded.

"What do I do, Inuyasha?" Kagome cried to him. "I can't lose him again."

Inuyasha stood for a moment. He ran out. He'd never failed her before, he wasn't about to now. He wanted her for himself, but had to make sarcrifices.

It was dark. He couldn't hear himself breathe, or think. He had a pressure behind his eyes. He felt numb besides that. Where was he? What was going on? Was he dead? He'd hoped it would be better. Like a woodsy area with his comrades and his Queen.

He spied a little man. Not a dwarf, but a short man. He was heavy set but he looked built.

'Koga. You're here,' he said in a nasally kind of voice.

'Who are you and where am I?' Koga asked. 'Am I dead?'

'Not quite, m'boy, not quite. You're in between. Yulai got in your head and banged you up pretty good.' He said.

'Kagome?'

'Fine,' he smiled. 'She is by your bed right now. I am Death.'

'I thought you'd be more…'

'Tall, robed and carrying a scythe? Pretty normal for people to think that,' he chuckled. 'Now, boy, you have a choice.'

'Choice?' Koga asked him.

'Live or die. You can have a lifetime with Kagome, who loves you more than life, without children. Or you can go now and have a life where you have everything you want," Death said.

'I can choose to have children or not, is what you're saying? Are you really saying I don't want Kagome more than anything?' Koga said. He was starting to get angry. Yes, he wanted children to carry on his name, and yes they'd be half demons, but he loved Kagome with all his heart. He'd originally wanted full demon children with a wolf demon. But he found a human woman who he wanted more than any demon who had presented to him.

'Basically,' Death said. Koga sighed. As much as he wanted children, that's not what Life gave him this time. Death was giving him the option to change what Life gave him.

'What's the price?' Koga said. This wasn't exactly too good to be true, but he had a feeling.

'It wouldn't be Kagome. You'd have full blooded demon children. Just like you wanted,'

He looked to one side and saw a beautiful young woman, dressed in white. She looked like a demon herself.

'Koga,' she smiled at him. 'Your time to choose has come. We have leeway right now. It's your decision. You have all the time in the world. Until Death takes you,'

'You are?' Koga said, suspicious of this woman.

'Life,' she said, turning serious. 'And right now, Kagome is by your side, scared that she will lose you again. She is already afraid you don't love her anymore because she cannot bear you children.'

Koga stopped and thought for a moment. She was seriously afraid he didn't love her anymore? His face fell slack in disbelief. He still loved her more than anything. This wasn't even a hard decision to make. There was nothing that would tear him away from her but Death himself. And he'd have to do it forcefully.

Life looked at Death. Death looked back at her. He knew they had to have known each other for a long time, but this was a bit different.

'What do you think, my love?' Life asked him.

'I think we both know the answer,' he said smiling at her.

'I think we do,' she said. Koga looked confused. Then he realized he'd been clenching his fists so hard he was shaking. He looked at his hands to find they were bleeding.

Inuyasha returned with a priestess. There were very few left practicing priests left. This one had been practicing her whole life, and she was on her last legs. This might be the one that killed her. He looked at the couple, shook her head.

"He's probably not going to make it. The poison of Yulai runs in his veins," she croaked. Kagome paled.

"He can't die. I need him!" She yelled, tears running down her face anew.

"He must fight against the poison. I will prepare a potion, but that is the most I can do with my prayers," she said.

"It's better than nothing," Kagome sniffed. "We have to try."

The old priestess put together a potion using some herbs she brought with her in one of those old doctor's bags. Kagome started to put the cup to his lips. That's when she noticed his face was contorted. She recognized anger in his face.

"Kagome, his hands." Inuyasha said. She looked.

"I wonder what's going through his head right now to make him so angry," she whispered. She picked up a hand and licked the blood away, and did the same to the other hand.

She paused, laughing. She must be picking up instincts from Koga through their bond. She could see him fighting. He was fighting to live, she supposed. She touched his mark and he sat up.

"I WILL LIVE FOR YOU!" he screamed. He looked at her, eyes wide.

He kissed her with all the passion he could muster. He had to prove he would live for her before all else. He didn't quite know how to prove it, but this was the first thought that came to mind. He just wanted her.

"I had to choose between you and no children in this life or a demon woman and having children with her." He whispered, voice heavy and thick.

"Obviously you chose me," she said.

"I couldn't see it any other way," he said. "I couldn't see my life without you. You're all I want, children or not. I'm sorry Yulai got to you, and I'm sorry you can't have children. But I love you anyway. I don't ever want you to doubt that, Princess."

"I thought I lost you," she whispered. "I couldn't do that again. I couldn't lose you again, my Prince."

"Never. Never, never. Death would have to force me away from you. I will fight to be with you always,"

Kagome got into the bed with him. She kissed his mark, and he shuddered.

"Rest now, my Prince," she whispered in his ear. "I will be here when you wake up."

Koga looked at her for a while before closing his eyes and sleeping.

When he woke up, he rolled over to find a warm mass next to him. He buried his face in the hair and breathed in Kagome's scent. He would never get tired of it, or of her. He loved the spicy sweet scent she gave off. He thrived on it, he lived for it.

He pulled her to him, kissing her shoulder. Running his hand down her belly, he found she was naked. She arched her back, her backside grinding into him. He found her ear and bit gently. She groaned quietly, making him want her more. Sliding his hands between her legs, she rolled over to face him.

They made love the whole day. They hadn't done much with the stress of Hojo coming after her. Yulai, more like. They had a lot of catching up to do.

At the end of the day, they lied next to each other, just being by each other, with each other and enjoying the other's company. They stayed in each other's arms for a long time. Then Kagome' s stomach growled loudly.

"Time to eat, Princess," Koga laughed. "Come on, let's go."

They dressed and went down to the kitchen. They cooked steak and gravy, potatoes and vegetables. Kagome ate huge bites, which was unlike her, but she was becoming part wolf demon as the bond became stronger. She finished the plate quickly and practically licked it clean.

EPILOGUE

Koga, white haired and wrinkled, sat by the bed of an older looking Kagome.

"Koga," she whispered. "I would rather have died with you,"

"My Queen," he whispered. "We lived a long and happy life together. Our bond is so strong, I'll not be far behind."

Smiling, Kagome put her hand on his face, closed her eyes and passed peacefully away.

Just in case anyone wonders, Hojo made it fine thanks to Sesshomaru's care. I just couldn't figure out how to work it into the story. Thanks for reading everyone!
