I don't own anything!

Raf silently twiddled his thumbs as he sat in Science class. Usually accompanied by Jack, but this just happened to be a period after Jack's lunch, so Raf was not surprised at all that he was ditching.

"I will be handing the tests that you all took the other day back. Most of you did very well; others not so well." His teacher said rising from her desk. He felt her eyes looking right at him when she said others were not so good.

He hasn't been doing well in scho ever since they lost Ratchet. Raf hasn't been studying, doing homework or even school work.

Once his teacher finished handing everyone's tests out (minus his) she walked to the door and cleared her throat. "Rafael, may I talk to you in the hall?"

Raf stood up and followed his teacher to the hall. Every kid's eyes were fixed on him as he exited the closing door.

Once it was shut, Ms. Mage kneeled in front of him. "Raf, what is the matter? You went from the best grades to the worst in a matter of weeks.

He turned his head the other way avoiding eye contact.

"Raf, did something happen because you have been very quiet. All of the other teachers said you haven't been speaking in their classes as well." She said gently.

Raf remained silent.

She sighed and tried a different approach. "I know you are good friends with Jack and Miko. I have noticed they have been acting differently also. Are you three fighting?" She questioned. "Because I know how close the three of you are and that is the only plausible explanation for all of you to be misbehaving."

Raf shook his head and Ms. Mage sighed, "Raf, sweetie, if you don't tell me the problem I can't fix it."

Rafael just shrugged his shoulders.

She groaned inwardly and stood up. "Okay, but if you ever have something bothering you, you know you can talk to me or the school physiologist."

Raf scoffed, he disagreed. How could a physiologist help him? He knows nothing about his life and what happened to Rafael. There was no way he could tell him.

Ms. Mage raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms growing slightly frustrated. "Why don't you like that idea? It would help you so much right now." She persisted.

Raf stubbornly shook his head. Ms. Mage sighed shaking her head as well. "Okay, I'll drop it for now, but I am going to need a parent or guardian to sign this test because you failed it. A 30, Rafael." She tried to get eye contact. "This is a unit test, it's worth a large portion of your grade."

She caught Raf rolling his eyes with a lack of interest so she gave up and walked to the door. "Get inside, Rafael."

He stood up slowly and followed her inside walking to his desk. Before Ms. Mage could even reach hers, the phone rang. She impatiently groaned and answered it, "Room 105, Ms. Mage speaking." She tried to sound as cherry as she could.

She frowned and turned to Raf. "I guess, but can it wait? No? But," She cupped the phone with her hand like it would lower the volume of her conversation. "He's having a bit of trouble in my class." She closed her eyes and nodded. "Okay, yes, I understand." She hung up the phone and pulled a pass from besides it.

"Rafael, they would like to see you in the office."

Raf quietly stood from his desk and slowly walked to his teacher and took the pass out of her hand and made his way out the classroom. He walked about a few feet before he met up with Miko.

"Pretty convincing, huh?" She laughed trying to get Raf to show some kind of emotion, but failed so she continued. "All I had to do was find an empty classroom and use the phone. Thank God the school's too cheap for caller ID."

Raf gave her a weak smile.

She sighed and used an arm to being him in closer as they walked. "How'd it go, buddy?" She knew Raf had been taking Ratchet's death the hardest because they were so close.

She was surprised when she heard his breaking voice answer in a whisper. "I miss him so much, Miko." Small sobs escaped his mouth.

It broke her heart when she heard Raf say this. She knew he did and there was nothing she could do.

"I know, Raf." She closed her eyes as tears threatened to spill. She wasn't sure how to comfort someone when she needed comfort as well. So she tried to do what she did best; make people smile.

"So," She sniffled so her voice no longer sounded like she was crying. "I heard you were causing some trouble in her class."

He sighed and didn't answer.

Miko kneeled next to him and brought him in for a hug whispering in his ear. "There is no one else around and I just heard you speak so talk to me please. I miss your voice."

He sighed and looked up at her wiping his eyes. "She wants me to see the school physiologist."

Miko's eyes widened a bit. "A shrink? Well next time, tell that bitch to mind her own bee's wax." She smiled wiping a tear off his cheek. "They just don't understand."

He nodded and pulled out a crumpled paper he had stuffed into his backpack. He handed it to Miko. "What is this?" She said taking it from him before reading it. "A 30?"

Raf sadly nodded.

She patted his shoulder, "No sweat, Raf, I'm sure we can have June or Fowler sign it." She paused. "I mean I would, but the teachers have my penmanship seared into their brains." She looked back down at it. "It's actually pretty good. I had Bulky sign a 12 the other day." She smiled causing a smile to crack on Raf as well before he took the test back and shoved it back in his backpack.

She stood back up and grabbed Raf's hand to start walking to the school's exit. "That's all I'm gonna hear you say ain't it?"

He sadly nodded.

Miko nodded content with his answer. She completely understood and accepted his decision. The three of them all had their ways of coping.

Jack cut school.

Miko was no longer as perky and hardly left the confines of Bulk's cab.

Raf stopped talking.

She decided to take over the talking. "We're gonna go pick up Jack and head there now."

Raf knew exactly what she was talking about. "Do you have everything you wanted to bring?" She asked and he nodded patting his backpack.

They exited a side door and headed to the bike rack and unchained the locks. They had insisted to ride to school today because they didn't want their guardians to know where they went. They hopped on and started their ride.

"I told Jack we'd meet at his house."

Raf nodded his head before following Miko towards the direction of Jack's house. He was slowly peddling; not even even trying to keep up with the Asian girl ahead of him.

(Right after the last chapter)

The trio peddled towards the Base and it was in sights when it started to rain.

Jack groaned. "Of course it would start to pour."

Miko sighed riding up next to him, "It's okay, we'll be okay." She looked over at the young man with a sad smile and whispered. "He spoke to me today." Jack's eyes widened and he stole a quick glance back at Raf, who was a few feet behind; his pedals move just slow enough to stay upright.

"What'd he say?"

"He misses Ratchet a lot. Like a lot." Miko sighed and Jack shook his head.

"Ms. Mage wants him to see a therapist or something." Miko fixed her grip. "And a 30 on a test that I'm sure your mom or Fowler could sign."

He nodded and pulled up bedsides the Base. "Okay, we'll ride the bikes up and leave them by the elevator."

Miko nodded and started up the mountain with a grunt, Raf slowly trailing behind.

In a few minutes they had reached the top and threw the bikes to the side anxiously before slowly making their way to Ratchet's body.

The three stood in silence and watched the rain drops bounce off his metal plating. Raf was the once to break the silence with his sobs.

Jack and Miko watched sadly as their younger friend ran to Ratchet and climbed up his chassis and sat on his spark.

"Raf..." Jack said making his way to Ratchet's hand. He couldn't stop the tears that fell out. "Oh my God." He said falling to his knees. "Why does this hurt so much."

Miko ran to Jack's side and fell into his arms. "I don't know."

Raf sobbed into his spark chamber, spilling all of the words that he has been bottling up the whole time. "Ratchet!" He sobbed. "I miss you. I hate life without you. It's horrible. I wish this was a nightmare! I want to go with you, but I don't want to die but I miss you so much sometimes it doesn't even matter. Ratchet..." He could hardly breath as the rain poured heavily on him. "You're not coming back...you're not coming back ever." He kept repeating to himself.

He cried and pulled the orange best he was wearing off and layed it on where he spark used to glow. "We'll never see you again and I never said goodbye."

Jack cried harder when Raf made him realize that and it finally sank in. They were never seeing Ratchet again. They went to Heaven, Ratchet went to the Allspark. He hasn't realized he said this out loud until Miko squeezed his arm. "Maybe we could visit." She cried.

Raf sniffled loudly and pulled a picture out of his soggy backpack. "It's me and you," He cried. "fixing the computer together." He cried harder and harder and as he cried harder he grew angrier. He tore open his backpack and grabbed his laptop that Ratchet and him had been working on to upgrade and threw it to the ground, smashing it into pieces.

Miko gasped, "Raf!"

Raf turned his head. "I don't care." He took his glasses off and nestled himself in the nook of his chest plating. He vowed to himself that this would be the last words he spoke, no matter how badly anyone else wanted to hear him speak. "I love you Ratchet." He squeezed his eyes shut and tried to ignore the pelting rain on his small shaking (from both sobs and shivers) body.

Jack climbed numbly up to the broken boy. He rubbed his back and kissed the top of his head. "It's okay, Raf."

Raf shook his head.

Jack sighed and climbed back down to comfort Miko where she had nestled herself in Ratchet's hand and brought her in for a hug.

Before they knew it, they all were sleeping and a very worried Agent Fowler and June Darby were searching everywhere for a certain three kids...

This was my favorite chapter because it's easy and fun to mess with Raf's emotions the most because he's so small and innocent. I'm excited to write the next chapter!'
