-Save Me, Remy Zero
Harry could not have been happier.
Not that he was really happy, no this place was miserable to even just sit in, but he finally had someone to play with. Now, don't get Harry wrong, he loved hanging out with Moony and playing with Jodie and Benjamin was a lot of fun and maybe even talking to Samuel was okay. But, he really hadn't seen Jodie or Ben in awhile; Samuel was wishy-washy- one minute he was all mad and mean, then he was sad and wouldn't talk, then the next moment he was nice-, and Moony hadn't been awake for more than five minutes since returning, which did worry Harry.
But, other than being entertained with Sirius, the cell was exactly the same.
Harry gave an audible sigh and slumped against the wall. It must have been early in the morning, since only one person could be heard wandering up and down the hallways, and Sirius was lying on the floor next to Moony, snoring lightly. He rubbed his eyes, under his glasses and sat upright.
It was quite dark in these cells now that he thought about it. When he was at home, he really didn't like the dark. It wasn't the dark that scared him it was more like the things that could be in the dark. That's why when he was three his Mommy bought him a snitch nightlight.
Just thinking about his mommy made tears come into his eyes. He really missed her and his daddy. The way he could slip into their bed at night when he got really scared. The way his daddy would let him fly around on his broom a little higher than allowed when Mommy wasn't looking. The way every Saturday him, his daddy, his mommy, and Uncle Padfoot would bake something different. He just missed his home.
And home is something Harry always thought about when it was dark.
At least Sirius and Moony were here to keep the monsters away.
The next time Harry arose from his sleep, a small ray of sun was shining through the window and Sirius was already awake, drawing on the dirty floor with his pointer finger. It didn't look as though it was much of a picture, more like a way for him to reduce boredom silently.
Harry rubbed his eyes, placed his glasses back on his face, and glanced over at Moony, who still looked dead, besides his stomach which was rapidly going up and down, as if he were slightly struggling for air, and Samuel was no where to be found. He was torn out of his thoughts when he heard a mumble by Sirius.
"Good morning, Harry," Sirius greeted, turning to Harry with a small grin, "you sleep alright?"
"M hm," Harry replied, yawning, making Sirius give a small smile. "Where'd Samuel go?"
Sirius' smile smile fell, a look of sympathy replacing it.
"Kid woke me up fighting with that guard, Levyvell I think his name was. He'll be back eventually," Sirius reassured.
"Okay," there was a long comfortable pause. "What're you drawing, Uncle Sirius?"
"It was suppose to be a boat, but it definitely doesn't come out as one." Sirius smiled yet again. "Nothing nearly as good as what you can draw."
"I'm sure you can draw really good!" Harry gasped, shocked to think Uncle Padfoot couldn't draw as good as him. "I think if you just used some crayons I have at home you'll draw way better than on the floor!"
"Maybe your right," Sirius grinned. "We'll have to test that out when we get out of here."
"Do you think we'll get out, Uncle Padfoot?" Harry asked timidly.
"I'm sure of it. It'll be very soon, sport, your mom and dad have been working really hard to find you and they should be able to follow a trail I left."
Harry smiled widely, excitement and happiness filling him. Not only did he know for a fact his mommy and his daddy were looking for him, but he was going to be found soon! He'd get to see all of his friends again, and ride his broom, and eat some yummy food his mommy or daddy or Mrs. Molly made, and he'd get to draw and run around and sleep in his nice, warm bed with his night light.
A thought then hit him, and he started feeling slightly panicked. What about Moony, Samuel, Benjamin, and Jodie? We're his mommy and daddy and the rest of the rescue people going to just take Harry and Sirius and leave? They could get hurt and...killed like Annabella did or like the people in that cell did...
"You okay, Harry," Sirius interrupted Harry's thoughts, seeing the look of worry on his face.
"Are we going to be able to take Moony and my friends out of here too when Mommy and Daddy come get us? Cause they need help out of here too and I don't want them to get all hurt and stuff, and they're my friends and I don't want them to be all hurt and-," tears started running down Harry's face, and Sirius immediately drew him into a hug.
"Sh, it's okay, Harry. I promise that when we get rescued we'll make sure to get them rescued too." Sirius comforted, rubbing his back. "You're very brave, you know that Harry?"
"R-Really?" Harry asked, as he wiped his eyes with the bottom of his shirt.
"Definitely! Most kids would be more worried about themselves, but you, you have a big heart and want to try to save your friends too, and that's one of the bravest things a person can do. And I'm sure when R- Moony wakes up, he'll agree with me too."
"You think so?"
"I know so." Sirius said, giving harry another grin. "Now, let's not worry until we have to." He shifted Harry off of his lap and to in front of him. "How about we okay a game of guess the drawing?"
"Okay!" Harry agreed, "As long as I get to be the drawer first!"
"Well, of course."
The pair of them played for a long while-Harry winning the majority of the time- in peace. Like they were in their own home on a Saturday evening, laughing and goofing around to their hearts desires.
At some point, Harry had dozed off into a peaceful sleep again, using that ragged blanket and leaning on Sirius.
But, it wasn't even an hour before Harry was jerked awake by the cell slamming open.
Samuel was back again, this time with more injuries. His left eye was swollen shut, his exposed torso was even more damage -a bandage had even been placed on it- with long scars running up and down, and his lip looked as if it had been chewed. Without even glancing Sirius or Harry in the eye, he practically ran to that corner where that lady use to be. She was gone, now that Harry noticed, the only trace of her being a big dirty spot where she use to lay.
"What the hell did you do to him?" Sirius asked the guard still smirking in the doorway, flabbergasted.
"Just a little torture is all," the guard replied sickingly sweet. "Now, we must be going, it's your turn!"
"What, NO!" Harry shouted. He couldn't loose Sirius too, they could hurt him. What if he came back like Moony, or not at all! "You can't take him!"
The guard gave a laugh in response, "Aw, is Potter gonna be all lonely, aw, that's so sweet. Maybe, you can take a little trip with us instead, hm? Wouldn't that be fun?"
"Leave Harry out of this. He's just a kid; he doesn't know what he's doing."
"Ah, but he should have some restraint by now, hm?" The guard stepped closer to Harry, making him cautiously step backwards. Sirius stepped in front.
"Don't step any closer to my godson!" Sirius growled. The guard then slapped him, making Sirius stumble backward slightly, then kicked her in return.
"This is just a damn waste of time," she mumbled furiously, as she yanked out her wand. "Crucio!"
Sirius remained silent for a few moments, before he screamed, writhing in pain. Tears began escaping his eyes, and all Harry could do was stare at the scene in horror.
"No, stop! You're hurting Padfoot!"
"That's the point, you child." She laughed, letting up the spell. Sirius took a few deep breaths, and Harry went to go close to Sirius, but the guard pointed her wand. "A-a-a! Don't get any closer!" Harry stayed rooted in place. " Just remember, you try to protest my decisions again, I'll torture your godfather until he can't think straight again. Is that clear?"
"Y-yes."
"Good, now, I have some business to attend too." With that, she casted a levitation spell on Sirius, and took him out of the cell, slamming the door.
Harry felt himself beginning to cry again. Why did they have to take Sirius? Why not him? He rather be beat up than his godfather.
"S-samuel? Is Padfoot gonna b-be okay?" Harry whispered. He received no reply. "S-Samuel?" Again no reply. What was wrong with him?
Harry had somebody, now he had nobody.
He decided the only thing he could do was crawl next to the unconscious Moony, put his hands on his eyes, and cry for his godfather.
Harry never even realized he drifted off to sleep for the third time that day, and he must of had been there for a long while, because when he awoke, it was dark yet again. He felt as though he should get up and try to talk to Samuel again, but he knew he would just be bothering the boy, plus, it was more comforting to be near Moony.
A thump made him freeze and hold his breath. What if the guard was coming for him now like she said? What if she was going to use that spell on him like she did on Sirius? Could Sirius be coming back already? He highly doubted that as Samuel was gone for a really long time...
Or what if it was even worse? What if she was going to take Moony again and hurt him even more...he was still unconscious and hadn't even been awake at all, they couldn't do anything else but kill him...
But, it couldn't have been a guard, he knew, after he heard a scream, a guard shout 'GET THE ALARM!', and footsteps racing back and to reach to sound the alarm. The number grew less and less, til no sound could be heard.
"Ha! Take that you scumbags. That's what you get for taking my kid!"
"Constant Vigilance, Potter! There could be more of them around here!" A voice, that Harry definitely recognized as Moody's, whisper-yelled. "Let's find your kid and get the hell out of here!"
Harry could barely hear footsteps as the group marched along. After what seemed like a strained five minutes, he heard an 'In there!", but saw nobody to make the voice.
An invisibility cloak was lifted, and Harry bolted upright and gave the most genuine smile he had made since being thrown in this place.
He was finally going to be saved.
