Daisy's Diary
Chapter 7
Up in Waluigi's room, it looks as though this is the end for Luigi and Waluigi as they are about find out sooner what Daisy's about to unleash on them for destroying her precious diary.
"Please, Daisy have mercy!," Luigi pleaded.
She ignored him, approaching closer with each step, growling loudly. Luigi was way too terrified to think of anything to stop Daisy. Waluigi was just speechless and also in a frightened state, angering Luigi but then he realized that this whole situation was caused by his rival. This was his chance to confess.
"This all his fault, not mine! Yes, I took your diary from under your bed but I was gonna put it back if he didn't show his face and take it away from me!," Luigi admitted.
Daisy stopped and turned her attention to Luigi. "What're you talking about?," she asked, the angry look still on her face.
"I'm the innocent one here, Waluigi's the one that you should be after since he's the one who told everyone in the kingdom the things that were in your diary."
Daisy glared heavily at Waluigi, balling up her fists and growling again, causing him to flinch in fright.
"I continuously begged him to give me the diary but he wouldn't listen, which caused this whole adventure," Luigi explained. "I know I was a fool for taking your diary without asking and for that, I'm sorry."
Luigi's apology caused the princess to smile but her angry frown returned as she is about to deal with Waluigi. He gulped silently, now that there's nothing he can do to save himself.
Everyone stopped at the door for Waluigi's room, trying to enter inside but had no chance since the door appeared to be locked.
Another locked door!?," Mario cried, roughly twisting the doorknob.
"You could use Hammer Bro.'s big hammer to break the door open and get in," Yoshi suggested.
"Yeah, he could but he can't," Hammer Bro. remarked.
"Why not?," Mario asked, still trying to open the locked door.
"Because I don't have my hammer. It's been missing for four days now."
Mario groaned.
Donkey Kong then thought of a good suggestion. "Mario, maybe I could-"
"I got it!," he interrupted as one final idea popped up into his head. He took several steps away from the door and then seconds later, he charged like a raging bull. Everyone watched, hoping that the plumber's attempt will somehow get the door to open.
After the confession Luigi had made to his princess, her only target now was Waluigi. She was still in her overly angry mood as she was slowly getting nearer to him with each step. With no where else to run, he backed up to his closed bedroom door, about to receive whatever punishment Daisy is going to give him. Luigi just stood behind his princess, smirking at his rival. Suddenly, a strong crash erupted from behind the closed door, sending Waluigi to fly past Daisy and Luigi and smash into another door nearby. The door quickly opened as unknown objects flew out from what looks like Waluigi's closet. Luigi and Daisy gasped, realizing what those objects were.
Mario was on the floor, completely knocked out from colliding with the door and mumbling gibberish nonsense to everyone there. With everyone staring at the small crack Mario created on the door, Donkey Kong decided to use his strength to barge through the door As everyone entered inside, they all gasped to find out that the unknown objects scattered around the floor were personal belongs. DK's bongos, Hammer Bro's hammer, Birdo's bow, Mario's gloves, and of course, Peach's missing crown. They all growled at Waluigi, seeing him rubbing his head from the past impact with the door.
He chuckled nervously. "Heh, heh let me explain by saying, WHAT THE HECK IS THAT!?," he shrieked, pointing at something behind everyone.
As they turned their attention behind them, it was Waluigi's chance to escape through the window. Dry Bones was the first to turn around and catch him in the act.
"He's getting away! After him!"
Everyone except Daisy, Peach, and Luigi leaves the room to chase Waluigi down. Daisy noticed Peach's angry expression and tries an effort to explain herself as she remembered the pink princess discovering the thing she wrote in the diary.
"Peach, are you still mad at me?," Daisy asked lightly.
Peach ignored her and turned around sharply. "Hmph!," was her only reply.
Daisy took a step closer and rested a hand on her shoulder. "Look, I'm sorry, Peach. I knew it wasn't right to write those mean things about you in my diary but I couldn't help it. It's a diary. I couldn't just keep it in my head forever so I had to put it there. It's not like I've written only bad things about you and everyone there.
Peach raised an eyebrow. "What are you saying?," she asked.
"I'm saying that they're not only mean and negative things I've wrote about you in the diary."
Peach stayed silent, hoping to hear something good Daisy wrote about her in the diary.
"Dear diary,
Peach is the best friend a girl could ever ask for! I just love going on adventures, playing sports, and having fun with her. I know I've had some past friendships with other girls back in Sarrassaland but the long lasting friendship I've had with Peach is the one that I cherish the most. But she's more than just a friend… she's the sister I've never had."
Peach quickly changed her attitude and smiled, turning around and hugging the princess. "You really mean that?," she asked.
"Every word," Daisy replied with a smile.
Luigi smirked as well, looking at the hugging girls but then realized someone very important was missing. "Where's Mario?," he asked them. Suddenly, he heard faint sounds of the short plumber groaning as he entered inside seconds later, rubbing his head in pain.
He noticed the two princesses still hugging, random objects spread around the fllor, and everyone else missing. "Peach? Daisy? You guys are friends again and where's everyone?," he questioned looking around the room. "What's going on here?"
Everyone laughed at him, causing the confused plumber to raise an eyebrow.
"We'll tell you all about it when we get back to the castle," Peach replied, grabbing her crown and Mario's gloves. "Oh, but the castle's so far away how are we going to get back there in time for dinner?
Daisy smiled as she remembered about Toadette and her gigantic size. "Don't worry about it, Peach I know someone who can be a big help," she replied. "Oh, Toadette!," she called out.
The big mushroom girl showed up behind the window, staring inside. Luigi, Peach, and Mario was startled from her unexpected appearance.
"You mind putting that big size to use and giving us a lift back home," Daisy said.
Toadette pushed her hand inside and Daisy, Mario, and Peach climbed on, seeing Luigi grab the other belongs with him. "So are you planning to get another diary anytime soon?," Luigi asked his princess. She just smiled and shrugged. They all made their journey back home to Peach's castle safe and sound and just in time for dinner.
