Sweet Caress

Disclaimer: I obviously do not own the Nightmare Before Christmas, it belongs to Tim Burton and Disney.

Summary: This is set right after the movie and is another fluffy one shot about what might have happened that night.

Also, what mainly inspired this story was a piece of fan art that I saw and it was so cute. :D :P

After sharing their first passionate and loving kiss together, they pulled away and held hands while gazing at each other. The atmosphere was silent for about 30 seconds until Sally's timid, quiet voice spoke.

"Thanks for uh,...saving me today."

"No need to thank me, I wasn't about to let Oogie kill you!"

Sally smiled up at him gratefully and it was silent for a few moments before Jack spoke again.

"Which reminds me, why did you go there?" Jack questioned while raising a non-existent eyebrow.

"Well, I had to help you of course."

Jack smiled lovingly down at her. "You really do care, don't you?"

Sally nodded before responding in a soft tone. "That's because you're also my dearest friend, and...I love you."

Not a moment later, Jack was pressing his bony lips against her blood-red ones.

"I love you, too," He said once they finally parted for air.

Only a few minutes later did they find themselves sat facing each other. Jack brought out his bony hand and gently caressed Sally's cheek while looking into her eyes.

"You're so beautiful. Why didn't I notice it before? Why didn't I notice you before?"

Sally knew that these questions were more directed to himself so she remained silent and just softly smiled at him. She then noticed the flower beside her which she had put down earlier when she heard Jack singing to her.

Sally picked it up again and held it to her chest with both hands as she knew that the flower was right.

Jack's gaze lowered to the flower as well with a sincere look on his face. "Believe it this time, your answer is 'he loves you.'"

A tender kiss was what Jack received after saying that. Sally knew he was being honest and he really did love her, but it was hard to believe. Why would anyone ever love her, let alone the Pumpkin King? But she was certainly not going to complain, she was just so relieved that everything went well in the end. It had been a long christmas eve night and both survived, that's what really mattered.

The end. :) Please review and I hope you liked this. xxx
