Task: 'Write a romance fic.'
Daydreams Always Taste Sweeter
His fingers were tracing light patterns over her skin. She let her eyes drift shut, revelling in the feeling of his body on hers as she laid in his embrace. The air smelled of spice, sweat and the calm after a storm, damp ground underfoot, the air still sparked with electricity.
Electricity had always sparked between them. With his lips marking her in love, tongue tracing paths of fire to places only he had conquered her skin crackled, longing sending anticipating and fireworks to caress every nerve like he was caressing her now.
How long she lay there with him, watching her worship the moon, his goddess she never knew. He was passion, an inferno and when she felt his heartbeat turn primal, heard her name fall from his lips she finally understood how love was born – from starlit electricity and spice.
Time would fade to non-existence as they lay in a meadow of snow drops and autumn leaves, silence broken only by their murmured declarations of forever. Then he would press his body against hers and –
"Miss Lovegood!"
Luna's eyes flew open to see Professor Vector leaning over her desk surrounded by cold, grey reality.
"Wrackspurts again? Or has something else taken your fancy? Please, don't elaborate. I don't know how many times I have to tell you stop day-dreaming in class. Next time I'm going to take points off. Now, if you'd care to join the rest of us in the real world we are on exercise seven, page twenty four."
Luna sighed dejectedly and nodded, copying out the equation. The future with her brave knight would have to wait until tonight when they could be together again amongst autumn leaves and snow drops.
