Chapter 8: Recap

"I've already forgiven you so hush," Harry said with his finger raised at Voldemort. "He needs it more than I do and it is his family as well," Harry murmured, looking into the mirror watching Tom pull Harry on his lap in front of the roaring fireplace. "It will only be gathering dust if it remained here; I have no use for it in this house."

Voldemort enveloped Harry in a soft embrace, his chin resting on top of Harry's silky hair. Inhaling the sweet scent of Harry he turned and watched the mirror.

Chapter 9: Training

While Harry was busy exploring the room Tom was silent. Whoever had done this would want something in return he thought, we cannot trust this. After living a life where nothing is handed to you (except for the letter, but then again, it was their birthright) where you have to fight to get what you want. In Tom's world, there is no such thing as generosity.

But then, Tom seems to have forgotten how selfless he is towards his Harry, but Harry is always the exception in his world. Harry finally noticed how silent Tom was and cupped his cheek. Cradling Tom's cheek in his palm he felt Tom lean into his touch.

"What's wrong?" He asked in concern.

"Harry, we can't trust this yet." Tom said and Harry was silent, turning his head to look at the walls.

"We don't know who showed this to us Tom, this is a large boon for us, we shall not waste this." Harry explained.

"But – "

"Tom, if this person wants something in return then we'll wait for them to demand it. We don't know who this is Tom but these things are essential for our plans. Don't you think that they want us to succeed?" Harry pursed his lips.

Tom contemplated what Harry said for a moment.

"Fine, we'll use them, but the moment this person makes demands of us we will stop and they will also be stopped." Tom said in a firm voice and Harry just cheered.

It's been a couple of weeks after they found the map and the room. So far nothing has happened but Tom remains vigilant. Harry on the other hand is using the room to train himself.

Harry slowly breathed in and out, his mind blank and tranquil. Slowly he felt his power pooling into his core, warm and comforting as it spreads all throughout his body. Taking a deep breathe he willed the power to flow into his palm, opening his eyes he stared into the dummy and took aim.

There was a loud noise as the magic shot from his palm and landed with a boom as the dummy exploded. Harry observed the outcome calmly while willing his magic to pool into his core again.

He has been doing this for a week and slowly the time it took to gather his magic and shoot was getting faster. After a few more shots he stopped and picked up the book on Chakra.

It wasn't stated in the book to shoot magic, it was purely accidental on his part as he practiced another move, which is the ability to distort the flow of magic and deflect it using his palms.

While practicing with Tom he had placed too much energy onto his hands and accidentally cast his magic out, thankfully it missed Tom and exploded behind him.

It was best to practice shooting alone while they both practiced the magic deflection together. All it took was to pool magic onto their palms and flick the magic onto the side, but then you would have to be fast to catch the spell.

Tom and Harry theorized that with enough practice they can create a ball of pure energy that they can hold and even juggle, but once thrown it will detonate like a muggle explosive.

Not only that but they also theorized that could alter the art of magic deflection into making a magic shield, which is different from protego as it would have been quite stronger depending on the amount of magic powering the shield.

They argued over theories and Harry suggested shielding the whole body using the chakra, not just deflecting with their palms. Harry described it like a shell, compressing their magic onto their skin and would form a shell like structure. He has not attempted it as he has yet to master deflection with just his palms.

But that isn't all that they've done, a few weeks ago Harry needed a place to practice magic alongside nature, as magical as the room is, it has its limitations and so Harry and Tom would venture into the Forbidden Forest looking for the perfect place to train.

"I think this is the place." Tom said and Harry hummed as he closed his eyes. Harry could feel a pool of magic underneath their feet, he couldn't understand it and it was nagging him.

Tom must have felt his frustration because he asked "What's wrong?"

"Thre's great magic underneath our feet, I can't explain it but it's strong." Harry said looking at the small pond in the middle of their clearing.

Tom chuckled and Harry glanced at his partner. "I'm surprised you don't know." Harry huffed and gave Tom an annoyed look. "Well?"

"We're standing on ley lines –" Tom took a scholarly tone "Ley lines can be found all throughout the Earth, one of which is under Hogwarts, the Stone Henge and the forbidden forest obviously took to the ley lines as well - "

Tom gave a show of admiring the forest "With its numerous creatures, unicorns and centaurs being a common place. Magic is just more powerful here."

"Wizards did not just decide to build Hogwarts in the middle of no where, they built it on top of a series of intersecting ley lines, and magic is stronger when in the presence of ley lines. Wizards have been using them for centuries in rituals."

Harry and Tom used the clearing often and it was there that Harry practiced his Elemental magic. Elementary Elementals was a good read Harry thought and surprisingly it makes use of some of the lessons in Chakra. Harry just has to feel the elements while controlling his flow of magic. Fire and Water being an innate element while Air and Earth an outward element.

Fire is the easiest element to master, or so they say in the book, as fire is innate and the flame can be produced using magic from inside, converting magic into energy. Which is the opposite for Water being harder to control, one has to use innate magic to convert moisture in the air to condense into water. That is if you do not have a body of water near you.

Next is Air which is also easy but requires control to manipulate air using magic, you can very well just be a fan and blow a small gust of wind everywhere without control.

Lastly, the hardest to control is Earth, it requires large amounts of magical energy to control and manipulate Earth, heavy and easy to exhaust ones magic.

Currently Harry is practicing the Fire element, it is easier to control as Harry is already well into his Chakra lessons. He concentrated on summoning the flame instead of pure magic. He only managed a few sparks before giving up altogether, Harry feels like something is missing, how can he tap into fire? It was a question plaguing his mind for the last few sessions.

He sighed before he decided it was time to leave and go back to the castle as his free time was almost over and his Defence Against the Dark Arts class was going to start in half an hour. On his trek back to the castle he wondered if Tom was finished with his Potions class.

"Tom and Tobias, this is perfect!" Says Professor Slughorn as he held up a small vial. Tom and Tobias decided to pair up to ensure no incompetent Slytherin or Gryffindor will leech off of their hard work.

Tom just gave a small smile before packing his bags and leaving alongside Abraxas and Tobias, the other Slytherins unconsciously moving aside to give them a way. Harry has slowly but surely influenced the minds of the students, always nice and polite while using his voice to give small hints to sway their opinion.

Tom is not envious that Harry is more powerful in voice manipulation. He himself is good but not as good as Harry, Tom is able to enhance his natural charm using voice manipulation but not control actions like Harry.

"How was your Potions class Tom?" Tom heard the soft melodious voice speak behind him.

"Same as usual," Tom turned to look at his Harry before giving a look to Tobias and Abraxas whom understood and continued to walk ahead. "How was practice?" He asked as Harry fell into step beside him as they both turned towards the direction of the Great Hall.

"Frustrating, I still haven't succeeded in calling any of the four elements."

"Maybe you should go back and practice on your other magicks before trying something new, I know how much you love new magic but at this point I think you should concentrate on mastering the others." Tom replied while Harry hummed in response as they both entered the Great Hall.

Tom sat down on his usual seat while Harry sat next to him, it raised a few alarms the first few times this has happened with the other students but Harry was too stubborn and after awhile it became normal to see them eat together, be it the Hufflepuff table or the Slytherin table. Harry's 'talent' may or may not have been a deciding factor.

Tom busied himself by filling up Harry's plate all the while doting on the smaller male like a mother hen. "You should eat more meat Harry, you're a growing boy." All the while Harry calmly filled Tom's plate with all his favorites.

"Their side of the table surely took on a different aura." Abraxas murmured to Tobias while staring at the couple, looking like no one else exists outside of their intimate bubble. "Pink, the air looks pink." Tobias responded while cutting a piece of chicken. "It certainly looks adorable." Abraxas sighed before going back to his plate.

AN: Hi hi!

It's been awhile because I got a bit of a writers block with this one, not sure what to do with some parts and I wonder if it shows that I was having problems tackling it a little bit. So my summer teaching job was good, a bit exhausting so now I'm relaxing as it is over. Thank god XD

I'm just not cut out for a long story, lol. I get bored easily so this is very hard to make, theres so much to do and I'm not sure if I should make their first year eventful or not and just the thought of introducing new people hurts my head trying to decide who is who and their grandparents.
