Title: Twinkle Twinkle Tony Stark
Pairing: No Pairing
Fandom: Avengers (movie or comics)
Rated: M
Notes: This was based off of a poster thing I saw on Tumblr a while back, the first few lines of the song were not made up by me... don't ask why it sparked such a horrible thing. I love Tony, don't get me wrong, but I always see Loki going after him and stealing the arc reactor... *evil laughter*
Reviews are love!

He hides in the darkness. All the lights have blown out, the only source of it left lay stifled under his calloused trembling hands. He hears steps, light as air, a curious tap or two from the end of a staff. He does what he can to keep his breath even, but not so deep down, he's terrified and well aware of the luck he is shit out of. The singing begins, Loki's tone playful and quiet, like playing hide and seek with a child.
"Twinkle twinkle Tony Stark"
He glances around to find something in the dark, anything, but his eyes don't have night vision and he regrets letting Pepper talk him out of body modifications.
"With all the power in your heart"
Loki sounds further away now, he could risk moving and getting caught, but he's frozen. He can't move. He can hardly breathe. Loki meant it this time, slowly, intimately. He knew what Loki wanted and unfortunately for him, the Avengers were back at Stark Tower, not his Malibu home. Lovely.
"Up above the city you fly"
Loki's closer, but not by much. He really needs to stop breathing so loudly, so he pulls one hand away from his chest and covers his nose and mouth to muffle the noise.
"Fighting bad guys in the sky"
JARVIS is down. He's surrounded by Iron Man suits and-JARVIS-is-down. He only prays to whatever god is listening that JARVIS sent out some kind of alert to SHIELD, but he seriously doubted he was that lucky.
"Twinkle twinkle... Tony Stark..."
He holds his breath now. Loki is quiet for several moments, he can practically hear that wicked grin playing at his lips, and he knows he's lost.
"There's no use hiding." Loki's tone turns condescending and factual and at a distance, but in a heartbeat, Tony feels a cold breath wash over his neck. He lets out his own shakey breath in defeat, shoulders slumping, head rolling back.
"Now give me that arc."

The next day, Pepper finds Tony's body in the workshop, the entire arc reactor set ripped out of his chest.
Stars were painted on the ceiling with his blood.
