Their Routine

Annabeth Jackson woke up to the smell of pancakes.

She knew it was her husband even before she opened her eyes because the other side of the bed was cold and she never liked that.

She opened her eyes and looked over at their alarm clock that read 8:42.

She sat up, stretched and walked towards their kitchen and the smell of the delicious breakfast food.

Percy was standing over the stove cooking a feast. Eggs, bacon, pancakes, toast, you name it!

Annabeth walked silently up to him and wrapped her arms around his waist. Even after being together for nine years (married for three) she could still make him shiver with even the simplest touch.

He turned around with his hands grasping hers then placing them on his waist, and his on hers and gazed into her eyes. Those also still made him weak at the knees, she felt the same way about his sea colored eyes.

"Hey Wise Girl."

"Hey Seaweed Brain."

They never used pet names like other couples, they tried it, let's just say it involved a falling on the floor laughing Thalia and Nico.

They had their usual morning kisses then settled down to eat.

At 9:30 Annabeth gave her husband a kiss and headed off to her architecture firm

and Percy headed off to have a meeting with his marine biologist team.

As everyday passed they always had the same routine, they were happy with it and each other.

Six months later Annabeth told Percy they would have to add another person to their routine and he didn't even hesitate to say they'd fit them in.
