Robbie hadn't been looking where he was going.

He and Cat were in a fight and he was just so mad.

So he stormed off into the night, but she chased after him.

"Why do you always do this to me Cat?" Robbie yelled, clutching his bag.

"I- i don't know Robbie."Cat whimpered, trying to pull him back to her. "I'm so sorry."

"All these years you've known me, you knew I loved you yet you still flirted and went out with other guys!" Robbie shouted, wiping his eyes furiously. "And you don't even care."

"I-I"

"Save it Cat. I don't want to hear it anymore." He said, as he began to walk away.

He looked back one last time and said, "It just hurts too much."

And then it happened.

It was the dead of night, the driver was drunk, and it just happened all too fast.

And Cat saw it.

She saw everything.

She stood for a while, gaping, and letting her tears flow.

"ROBBIE!"

She didn't even think to call an ambulance.

She ran to him, falling in the process.

Robbie was laying there bruised and bloodied. There was a dent on the side of head, and a piece of his rib sticking out.

"ROBBIE! WAKE UP! COME ON!" She screamed as she sobbed.

Cat knew, she just knew it that was over, but that didn't stop her.

She lifted his chin up and moved to his mouth.

Quick, deep exhales.

She drew in more air before returning to his mouth, trying to breathe life into his lifeless body.

Her palms slid down to his sternum, pumping like an increased heartbeat. He was dead, but she didn't stop.

"Robbie! Breathe dammit!"

But he isn't breathing.

"Look at me Robbie! I love you! I'm so sorry!" She said as she tried to hold him.

This was all her fault. She did this. She hurt him. She killed him.

She could've called an ambulance for any other passengers in the other vehicle that were injured, but all she do was hold Robbie right there in the center of the pileup.

Soon the neighbors began to walk out of their houses in horror.

And for the longest time, Cat's heart stopped beating.

Tears swarmed her eyes, distorting her vision as she scrambled to get up, ignoring the bruises and gashes that were scattered all over body.

"Robbie!"

She could hear herself screaming his name. Every-time though, it seemed further and further away.

And soon she wasn't there anymore, she was gone.

She couldn't live without him, and Cat knew that she would never be the same.

She could hear the sirens blaring in the background, and the shouts, but all she cared about was him. And he wasn't breathing.

Robbie wasn't breathing.

Neither was she.

Cat just couldn't do this without him, not after what happened today. She needed him.

Her hands finally gave out and she collapsed on top of his body, letting out the breath she was holding.

"Please don't leave me," she whispered shakily. "You said that you loved me."

But Robbie wasn't responding.

"I'm so sorry Robbie, I didn't meant to hurt you." She sobbed. "I'm so sorry."

She closed her eyes, trying to remember all the good times she had with him, and when she opened them again, he was gone.

"Robbie?" Cat said, shocked.

He was standing in front of her.

"But you're dead."

He nodded.

"But how am I here?" Cat asked, hoarsely.

"You ran after me." Robbie said, pausing after.

"So you were hit too."
