Whether or not it is a mistake of his was a surprise for me at first. Connor had been fidgeting to the extreme with him moving a bit unnaturally for a man that is normally calm with a dash of an awkward silence made the action but I did not want to make myself hasty. The moment our lips separated, he only started to immediately start apologizing for what he did, claiming it was an honest mistake. As I looked at him with a gentle smile, he only looked at me in confusion as to why I was displaying a grin rather than displaying a face of anger and yelling.

"Commander, I am confused. Aren't you mad?"

I only playfully responded with my voice turning into a deep chuckle, "It was only an accident, correct?"

"…Yes…" That was the only thing he said to me as he finally was brave enough to look at me, even if it was brief. His fists that he had at his sides were tightened as he looked back at the ground when he was just saying his greatest of apologies a short moment ago. He was showing agitation by the lack of response I had given.

"Connor, come here." I commanded.

He took a quiet step closer.

"Closer." I firmly stated.

He did not obey.

I changed my tone into more of a sincere one to allow him to relax and proceed with my order, "Connor, please, come here."

He only took a few shallow steps to me and stopped, gulping before me as he probably thought I was about to punish him after all. I raised my hands (causing Connor to get unmistakably nervous again) to his face and looked right into his eyes with failure. My hands go back into long, dark hair, passing his braid with a few beads to remove the hood to reveal that his face had only turned a shade of red. I only chuckle how cute this assassin had quickly became, taking my affections with him. His eyes captivated my attention for short still minutes. The forest had been standing in remained ever so still as we were. I return my pale hands against his cheeks, now spotting some freckles sprinkled on his mid-face. My thumb only stroked his left cheek with my right thumb, treating him with more kindness than perhaps I treat myself with.

My face leaned in closer to his face, causing both of our eyes to close, out lips almost touching before the voice of a fellow soldier shouted about my name. He requested that he needed me as soon as possible. By the sound of it, it sounded as if they had ruined something that I would have to inspect. We quickly jumped out heads apart but my hands still remained cupped.

"I think you should go." Connor almost stuttered when he realized what we were about to do and someone could see if they very well desired.

I leaned in close as if I were going to give a reassuring kiss, making Connor lean in as well. My actions turn to suck at his neck, leaving a bruised mark before I whispered into his ear, "I expect to see you later."

I now sit in my tent in the silence, seeing him stand outside of the entrance, him collecting his final thoughts before walking in. Connor, our relationship will no longer be the same, my love.
