Kagome sighed, a few days had passed, Harry's Godfather was no longer being hunted, and Pettigrew was on his way to Azkaban. Remus wasn't going to be coming back, sadly, since he was ousted as a werewolf, and somebody had made a very public announcement that nine students had been endangered, and two had been injured because of him. Herself and Blaise...the strange thing is, none of them had said anything. Kagome had an inkling that it was Pansy who had said something, since it was always Pansy, but she wasn't sure as to when she would have found out, unless she had just overheard them talking or been eavesdropping altogether.
"You ready, Kagome?"
Kagome turned and smiled, Ginny stood with her own trunk packed and her uniform neatly ironed for their last day, and the ceremony for House Cup. "Yeah...I think so." Kagome looked curiously around her room, grabbing the earrings Draco had given her, she put them on before smiling at her reflection in the window. "I heard Buckbeak was never killed..."
Ginny smiled, "I heard something similar...I think...Hermione mentioned something about how time can be a teacher or a killer, and how this time it chose to teach...hopefully Blaise will be more careful next time he's in Care of Magical Creatures."
Kagome laughed, 'Teacher or killer...perhaps...but I recall something about a time turner playing a rather large part in a certain Hippogriffs escape.' Pulling her green and silver tie on, she left with Ginny out the door and headed down to the Great Hall. Catching up with Draco and Theodore who were talking in hushed whispers over one thing or another.
"How are my favorite Snakes?" Kagome grinned as she skipped up beside them,, slowing to a walk as she came up beside Draco.
"Good. You heard Lupin resigned?"
"Not really by choice, no parent will be happy to learn that a Lycanthrope is teaching their kids."
"True...but he was...so far...our best Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor."
"Oooh, maybe Professor Snape will get the position next year!" Kagome thought out loud.
Draco laughed, "That would be pretty cool."
"Kagome!"
The group turned to see Harry running to catch up with them. "Hey, can I talk to you?" He glanced to the others before looking back at her, "...alone..."
"Um...sure?" Kagome walked off a bit, turning she smiled to the others, "I'll catch up with you guys in a bit."
"Right," Draco looked at her as she ran off before following the group into the Great Hall.
Kagome followed Harry to a rather secluded corner, waiting for him to say something, he finally looked up and sighed.
"I'm just gonna come out and say it..." Harry fidgeted for a moment, finally, taking both of Kagome's hands, he stared carefully at her, leveling her with a nervous look. "Will you go out with me?"
Kagome's eyes widened, "...wh-what?"
"I know that we aren't really that close-"
"Don't be silly, we're very close, but I...I can't go out with you."
Harry let his eyes drop as he let go of Kagome's hands, "...Draco..."
Kagome gave a small, sad smile, "...Draco." She sighed, "I'm sorry Harry, really, truly I am. But I wouldn't feel right going out with somebody that I didn't have feelings for, other than that of a friend. You're fourteen...or, soon-to-be, at least. You will find someone, I'm sure of it. However, I'm also sure, that the person who you will end up with, won't be me. I don't mean for this to sound callous, but I know where my heart is." Kagome took a few steps back, she turned and left without another word. There was nothing left to add.

Kagome stepped into the Great Hall, stopping in the doorway, she leaned against the frame of the Great Halls doorway, and sighed. "Really now...why do I feel so bad?"
"Hello Kagome, are you talking to the Wrakenburkes? You know, you shouldn't listen to what they say, they like to feel your head up with spores that leave the strange feelings such as guilt and doubt behind once they spread in your mind."
Kagome smiled, "I see...your right...I shouldn't listen to the Wrakenburkes...thanks for the advice...Luna." Kagome let the pale dreamy blonde lead her inside.
"Kagome, are you okay?"
Turning, Kagome smiled, "I'm fine. It was just...the Wrakenburkes...whisper things to me."
Draco frowned, "Wrakenburkes?"
"Nothing, don't worry about it."
Draco nodded, he had his hands in his pockets, fidgeting a bit, finally he shook his head and laughed, "another day...maybe."
"Hmm? What that?"
"Nothing," Draco pulled his hand from his pocket and took Kagome's, "let's go sit down."
Pulled to the Slytherin table, Kagome sat down between Theodore and Draco, Blaise sat across from them with Pansy next to him, a frown firmly lit upon her face.
"Attention...attention..."
The eyes of the students in the Great Hall turned to Dumbledore, looking on excitedly.
"It has been a long year...and while many of you are confused to the happenings of the year, allow me to elucidate."
The sound of footsteps sounded in the great halls as Sirius Black was led up to the Staff Table with Severus Snape guiding him.
"Recently the horrors of Sirius Black have been at large, causing endless nights of fear among the students and even staff members. I would like it known, that those stories...are all lies. The truth...is that an innocent man, framed and convicted, of the murder of his best friend throughout childhood years and even adulthood...spent twelve years in a cell, rotting away, while the true vile monster, escaped and his away, cowering from the world. Now...the one who framed him, is behind the bars of an Azkaban prison...and this man here..." Dumbledore held his hand out in indication of Sirius Black who cautiously turned to face the students, "is finally free. You may see him around as of next year, assisting with classes here and there. As of right now, he will be taking over the Defense Against the Dark Arts position, with the resigning of our dear Remus Lupin...unless of course, something comes up."
"WOOOHOOOO~!" Kagome cheered with Draco, Blaise, Hermione, Ginny, Ron, Harry, Theodore, Ginger and Honey. Quickly, the others started to join in with them.
"Yes, yes...very good in deed. Moving on...there are, as per usual...the House Cup is in need of awarding…so, without further ado… the House with the least amount of Points, in fourth place, with a total four hundred points...Gryffindor. In third place...with four hundred twenty-five points...Slytherin," clapping and cheering was thus far dull, only getting louder and louder with the Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws as it got closer to second and first place. "In second place, with four hundred thirty points, Hufflepuff...and with four hundred and eighty points...RAVENCLAW!"
They watched as the flags above turned and changed from the four house colors to the Sapphire and gray of Ravenclaw House.
"Nicely done, Ravenclaw...Nicely done indeed...but, with recent events...a few last minute points need to be...awarded. To Miss. Bailey, of Ravenclaw...twenty points...for knowing, that even when the future appears to be bleak, there is always a hand that one can lend, when a friend is in need of a friendly push."
Ginger blushed, but cast a shocked, and even curious look towards Dumbledore.
"In Slytherin House...to Mr. Malfoy, for showing true endeavor towards a greater task, and facing fears head on, when friends were in danger; twenty-five points. Mr. Nott, for standing up to one's own conscience, and making the choice to help another, when it goes against all that you have ever known...twenty-five points. Mr. Ginger...when doubtful of your own capabilities, you stood up for your friends and faced calamity, twenty-five points. Mr. Zabini...for standing beside his own beliefs, despite what others might say, readily willing to help a fellow classmate, I award you...twenty-five points."
Kagome smiled, "Draco, Slytherin house is currently in the lead!" She whispered excitedly.
Draco was shocked, having never been on the receiving end of last minute points, he just stared in wonder at the Headmaster.
"Lastly, with Gryffindor...Miss. Granger, the knowledge that carried her friends through a 'timely' trial...twenty-five points. Mr. Weasley, in the eyes of fear, you stayed by your dearest friends, loyalty through and through, to protect and guard, despite certain dangers...twenty-five points. Mr. Potter... in light of the New Year to come, with the past unraveling, only you were able to decide the future outcome of your godfather. You listened to your heart...in that...freed a wrongly accused man...changing his life, and yours...for the better, twenty-five points. And Miss. Weasley...knowingly, you plotted this whole thing out. You utilized the cunning minds of the Slytherins...took the Bravery of the Gryffindor...and even the willing knowledge seekers in Ravenclaw...to see the light of your plan come to fruition...in fact...you even had a professor involved with your...plan. A plan, that brought together a boy and the last of his 'family'...a plan that helped the ministry, and many nonbelieving staff members...see the light of your plan. For your unfaltering faith...and willingness to see the light in the dark...I award you...fifty...house points."
Kagome's eyes widened. Though really, why wouldn't they...she had beat out the-boy-who-lived by twenty-five points. She wasn't sure she deserved it, but whatever.
"No way..." Blaise laughed.
"I do believe...that there is a tie, Slytherin and Gryffindor, with five hundred and twenty-five points! A change in decor...is in order." Dumbledore clapped twice and the flags shook before changing, the flag was a mix, something that they had never seen, a Griffin with a Snake coiling around it, the colors were Emerald Green and Gold, mixing and mingling on the flags.
"Wicked..." Kagome whispered under her breath.

Draco held his hand out to Kagome as he pulled her up onto the train steps, both smiling as they waved to Hagrid who was trying not to cry again. "We'll be back soon enough, till next year Hagrid!" Draco called out.
"Ai, be good th' lot o' you!"
"You too! Stay out of trouble!" Kagome grinned.
Harry came up from behind Hagrid and gave the half giant a hug, "we'll see you soon, Hagrid."
"...missin' ya alrea'y."
Kagome followed Draco to the back of the train, making their way to an empty compartment, she sighed. "Such a long year, really...I can't wait to see what next year has in store for us!"
Draco laughed, "neither can I, but you know, I'm also looking forward to the break in-between these exciting adventures."
"I guess so...but you know, the longer we're on vacation...the longer we don't get to see each other. Ah, I mean...well, yeah, our friends." Kagome laughed, a blush on her cheeks as she looked out the window.
"I keep putting it off, but...Kagome," Draco pulled a small velvet box from his pocket. "I'm not proposing!" He quickly said, before blushing brightly and adding softly, "However...I am asking you...ah, damn this was easier in my head." He opened the box and revealed a ring, silver in color, with an engraved dragon detailed in what looked like shards of emeralds. "I want you to be my girlfriend."
"...I...really? I mean, yes, of course!" Kagome laughed, drawing him into a hug as he slipped the ring over her middle finger.

Honey leaned against the wall outside the compartment where the newly made couple were happily hugging. Ginger smiling with a knowing look as she glanced over to her brother.
"It's not over...things are just getting started." Ginger said softly.
Honey smiled, taking his sisters hand in his, he started off towards the back exit of the train, slipping out of the train to watch the scenery go by. "What is to come...but tears...and war, bloodshed and more."
"Rhyming, now...are we?" Ginger laughed, closing her eyes she opened them before casting a haunted look over the door they had just left from, "Not quite a war...but something is unfolding as we speak. I see it...a dark turn of...events."
"I see...something to look forward to." Honey said with his eyes closed to the world around him.
Ginger turned back to the quickly passing scenery and smiled before she too closed her eyes.
"Yes...look forward to it..."
