This is just a note saying that this story is officially discontinued.

So please, do not ask me to update it.

I was obsessed with Loki for like three years, but it had to end sometime. I'm just not interested in him anymore.

If you really enjoyed this story and wanted to see where it went, I really am sorry.

But on a brighter note! There's still over 200,000 words of this story for you to reread!

And I would like to sincerely thank everyone who offered encouragement to me while I was writing this story. I can't even tell you how much it meant to me. This was my first fanfiction, and you all were so wonderful and encouraging. I loved the interaction with you all, waiting to hear your thoughts on this story, what you thought was going to happen and what you wanted to happen next. A great many of you, at times, changed the direction of this story. I will never stop being grateful for such a wonderful experience as writing this story for you all was.

I would really like to apologize for the rudeness of my original note, though - I actually was kind of writing this story for you guys, even though I said otherwise. The person(s?) who were bothering me about updating it though just really pissed me off, so I had a knee-jerk hostile reaction. I'm incredibly ashamed of myself.

I do feel really bad because this story and all my readers meant so much to me, and even though I'm not into Loki any more, I didn't want to give up on this story completely. I know how much many of you really enjoyed it. Abandoning this story was honestly one of the hardest FF-related decisions I've ever made. I didn't want to, I just... couldn't get myself to write any more on it. I know my aversion to Loki will go away eventually, and maybe I'd start updating it again then... but I can't know for sure, and I don't want to keep leading people on. That and, of course, that the ending for this story I'd planned wasn't a particularly fluffy or happy one... but then, I wanted to kind of lead into who Loki becomes as an adult, so. It really couldn't be that fluffy or happy of an ending.

I know that it hurts, though, when a story that you really like has been discontinued. It's happened to me. But sometimes authors lose interest in a story idea, or in certain characters, and you can't force yourself to write on something you're not interested in. It just doesn't work.

I know that if you're reading this, you're likely sad or disappointed, but I really hope that nobody will be bitter or angry to know that this story is discontinued. I'm sorry if you are, though.

But seriously, thank you guys for everything.

Several people have asked me if they can continue this story, and my answer is: Yes, go ahead!

Anyone who wants to may use this story as a premise for your own stories. (Given that this is a fanfiction, it would be incredibly ironic for me to try to claim that nobody could use my story the same way I used the Marvel movies and comics, would it not?)

There is no need to PM me to ask, either. You may all cite this note as me giving you my express permission.

(As such, however, I will not be reading, supervising, or endorsing any fanfics written based on this one.)

If you do write something based on this story, I hope that you enjoy yourself doing so :)
