Author's note: I am so so sorry for the inexcusable delay. You all have been patiently waiting for an update, and I have been working on other things besides this story. I hope you all can forgive me :) I did change the baby's name, but it won't be anything huge.

Warnings: Meh, none really

Disclaimer: I own nothing besides minor OC's

-Broken by Seether & Amy Lee

(June 15)

"Dawn! Scott!"

Dawn let a large grin break out over her face as the familiar voice of Gwen broke through the crowd. The tall Goth girl hugged her tightly, pressing her hands against her. "I haven't seen you since November! That's too long of a wait!"

Dawn smiled serenely, watching the girl's aura turn a bright happy yellow. "It has been a long time," she hugged her friend again. "You look well, Gwen."

Scott just nodded. "Nice to see you, Gwen."

Gwen nodded back at him and turned back to Dawn, the smile faltering a little. "How have you been? I would have asked you about the baby earlier, but I didn't want to intrude…"

"She's fine," Dawn replied smoothly, patting her tummy. "Six months now. She gave her first kick a month ago."

Gwen pressed her hand against her abdomen, her dark lips twisting into a large grin as the baby kicked against her hand. "She sure kicks hard," the Goth girl laughed. "Do you have a name for her yet?"

"I was thinking of Astrid, but now I kind of like the name Isolde."

Scott shook his head, a smile playing on his lips. "It's better than Astrid. I don't know anyone who gives their child a name like that."

Dawn only rolled her eyes, playfully nudging him. "Oh you like it, I know you do," she took his hand into hers. "Besides, we won't have to wait much longer. Only three more months."

"Yeah…" Scott trailed off. "Only three months."

Dawn raised an eyebrow at him, noticing his aura darken and become guarded. She let out a small sigh, knowing he didn't intentionally guard his aura; it just sort of happened. He let go of her hand, muttering something about going to go talk to Sam and Dakota.

"What's eating him?"

Dawn jumped, remembering that Gwen was still standing next to her. "I don't know," she answered truthfully. "I think he's nervous about the baby."

Gwen looked down at her carefully. "And what about you? You've only eighteen. How are you and Scott going to take care of her while in college? You are going to college, right?"

Dawn nodded. "Of course! I don't know how I'll take care of the baby while going, but I'll try to think of something."

Gwen took her hand again. ""If you need anything, just call me. Don't hesitate to ask me for help. You're like my little sister, and sisters help each other out, right?"

"Right!" she moved a loose strand of blonde hair from her face. "I heard you and Trent got back together."

Gwen froze, nodding her head slowly as a blush began to spread over her pale cheeks. "Yeah," she looked over at the guitar playing male. "I guess the feelings were always still there."

"How did Duncan feel about it? He wasn't sore, was he?"

Gwen only smiled, shaking her head. "No, Duncan and I are over. We decided we liked each other as friends and he wanted to work things out with Courtney. I won't deny that I was worried that they would break up again, but I think they've both grown up a little. I'm happy that Courtney is finally happy."

Dawn looked over at the former juvenile delinquent and the Hispanic girl sitting at the edge of the pool, arguing about something. At a first glance, Dawn would have thought it was a serious fight, but their auras were bright pink, reassuring her that it wasn't a serious fight. "I'm glad they're together," she looked back to Gwen. "And you and Trent are happy, right?"

Gwen nodded. "There are times I wonder why I even left him. Teenagers can be pretty silly sometimes, don't you think?"

"I don't think so. I think that you thought you were doing what was best for you and your team. But you're together now, so that doesn't matter, right?"

Gwen hugged her again, ruffling her blonde hair. "You're a sweet girl, Dawn. I'm sure this baby of yours will have a good mother."

"Well, isn't that sweet? Out of all the contestants to get pregnant, I never thought it would be you."

Dawn felt a frown come to her face as Heather stepped out in front of them, removing her expensive sun glasses off her face. Gwen growled, her aura turning red with protectiveness. "What do you want, Heather? If you're here to bash on Dawn then feel free to leave."

Heather only smirked. "Please, why would I need to bash on the pregnant girl? What would I get out if it anyway?"

"Because you have such poor self-esteem that you feel the need to hurt other people to make yourself feel better."

Heather rolled her eyes. "I don't see why you're defending her. It's her own fault she got pregnant. She acted a like a whore and she paid the price."

Dawn gasped, feeling the whole pool area become quiet with shock. Before she could even blink, Scott appeared next to her, looking down at Heather coldly. "Shut the fuck up, bitch."

Heather's eyes widened, gasping in shock and anger. "Excuse me? What did you just say to me?"

"You heard me," Scott crossed his arms, staring the Asian woman down. "I said shut the fuck up. Who gives you the right to judge everyone as if you're some sort of god?"

"I-"

Heather didn't even get the chance to finish her sentence before Scott stepped forward, his anger intensifying. "Well? Nothing to say 'God?' I figured you'd have a few more things to bitch about before you're satisfied."

Heather only gaped at him before turning on her heel sharply and storming away. Duncan grinned at the red head in approval. "Nice one dude!"

Scott didn't answer him. He took Dawn by the shoulders, looking at her seriously. "Are you okay? She didn't hurt you did she?"

Dawn shook her head. "N..no, she just surprised me, that's all," she gave him a tiny smile. "I guess I should have seen that coming. It is Heather after all."

Scott kissed her forehead, hugging her tightly. "That doesn't give her the right to spout crap. She's just a bitch that isn't to be taken seriously. "

Dawn sighed, the smile growing on her face. "Now Scott, you know she hasn't had it easy. She's not entirely a bitch."

"Oh no, she's the Queen of all bitches."

I know it's been a long time! But I promise that I will update more frequently now. School gets out next week, so I'll have a lot more time to update my stories. I know it's short, but I kind of want this chapter to be an introduction for what will happen next. Chris will be in it!
