note: I've never written RokuShi.
He's eating sea-salt ice cream when something hits him in the head. At least, it feels like it does. It was like an electric shock. He drops his ice-cream, his vision blurring into a girl with black hair and piercing blue eyes. He leans on a wall, and Kairi-, no, Namine, grabs his arm firmly as he breathes in and out.
The dizziness fades back to the sunset, with Namine shouting empty words that he can't hear. Roxas grabs his hair, trying to remember the girl.
Later, back at the Islands, when Sora is sleeping, Roxas explores.
He creeps through the depths of Sora's heart, searching for a memory of the girl. He remembers faintly what Namine said about memories never fading. He swims through memories of the darkness, and he finally reaches something that-
It's a voice.
You'll forget me, but the memories themselves will never disappear. Memories of you and me will always be together...forever, inside him.
Sora wakes up in a cold sweat, with Roxas feeling a guilty inside because it was his fault. But as Sora fades back into the clutches of sleep, Roxas thinks. He tries remembering his days in the Organization. Wearing the black coat. Wielding the keyblade.
And then, just as Roxas's conscious is about to fade back into Sora's, he remembers something small, but important.
He remembers her name.
Xion.
