Kyle walked down the street with a little skip to his step, as he smiled at others who passed by. Today he was in cloud nine and he didn't want anybody to ruin it, so he purposely left early and walked to school so he can milk the moment for as long as he could.
He looked around and saw it had snowed last night and a new layer of the powdered ice-covered the old chunky layer. Kyle stopped in front of Starks Pond and smiled widely at the sight of a fresh not yet stepped in layer of snow surrounding the entire meadow. Checking his wrist watch he decided there was enough time for a snow man or a tree climb.
Before stepping in he grabbed a hand of the still powder like substance and blew it into the air and it fell gracefully on the ground.
Today was the perfect day to be alone.
Kenny woke up due to the window bursting open and letting in a cold brush of wind. He shivered and stared at the clock before his eyes were able to make out the time.
9:15
He jumped out of bed and tripped over his blanket as he rushed to grab his jacket and pants. Kenny ran out with no feeling in his toes and a hard look in his eyes. He unintentionally bumped into everybody that passed by and they only shoved him aside giving him a sour look.
Kenny growled at the person who began to swear at him and shoved straight past him. Before he even noticed what was happening he crashed and fell on someone who was walking out of Starks Pond. Kenny growled and stood up wiping the snowy dirt off his jacket.
"Nice to see you too Kenny," a winded Kyle made out. Kenny panicked and helped Kyle sit up constantly fussing over whether he was ok or not. "Don't worry about it, I can't be any dirtier than I already was." he stood up and Kenny didn't understand until he noticed Kyle had snow all over his jacket and hair. "Why are you in such a rush?" Kenny scoffed looked around as if he were kidding.
"It's 9:15, school started and hour ago!" Kyle raised a brow and checked his watch.
"That's weird, my watch says it's 7:15." Kenny checked the cheap flip phone he got for his birthday long ago.
7:15
He groaned and clenched his fist throwing his phone on the ground and tugging on his hair.
Class didn't start until eight.
Kyle gave him a small smile and picked up his phone handing it back. Kenny refused and sat down on the street corner closing is eyes and trying to relax and maybe rest his eyes a little. Giving him a little smile, Kyle sat next to him placed his jacket over Kenny's shoulders seeing he was shivering with only a sweater. He took out an old mp3 player and placed an ear bud into one of his and Kenny's ears.
Searching through the songs, he played a song with a tune of a lullaby and the singer had a sweet, gentle like voice. Kyle smiled and leaned on Kenny who couldn't help, but smile and lace their hands together.
Today was the perfect day to cheer someone one.
(A/N) Can I write fluff or can't I? I feel kind of fluffy and sappy now, In the future I'm going to squeal and blush at how cheesy I was and probably will still be.
The song I'm talking about is Boats and Birds by Gregory and the Hawks.
