This Sweet Weird Life of Mine

Shorts, dribbles and, quips of the Great Detective of the East and Phantom Thief 1412 (KID)

And I guess I'm sort of back. Yeah. New chapters to come on pretty much everything. Sorry for the disappearance.

Shinichi stretched his arms above his head and stared out the window. The sun was just starting to peak over the house tops. Petals scattered the floor of the bed room under the window where Kaito failed to shut it before falling asleep. Looking down at his lover and basked in the comfortable weight of the thief's arm around his waist and the legs twined with his. Gently he slipped out of the warmth and chuckled softly at the whimper that fallowed. He padded down stairs for coffee not even giving a second thought about waking Kai. The thief was terrifying in the mornings, worse than Shinichi, himself. He had yet to fix the notches in the wall from the metal cards embedded themselves. Of course being the sweet heart Kaito was he apologized for days and spoiled Shinichi with Sherlock movie marathons.

Standing at the counter Shinichi sipped on the scalding liquid and welcomed the burn; the feeling of just being alive and loved. Never in a million years did he ever think that he'd be at peace again and never in a hundred million life times did he think that he'd share a bed willingly with a criminal, much less than 'The Great' 1412. Snorted at the memory that came on.

"Don't worry Shinichi you'll catch him next time." Ran was struggling not to laugh with her words. He gave her credit though she was doing better than the snorting hoots Sonoko was giving.

"Whatever." Shinichi grumbled and picked at the glittery pink slime in his hair causing more white and red hearts to fall to the ground. "You think he would have done this on a different day. Valentine's Day should be spent with those you love not chasing after a thief."

"That's the whole point. EVERYONE loves KID." Sonoko pointed.

"I don't."

"Aw I'm hurt, Meitantei-kun and here I thought we had a special connection." KID purred from his perch on top of a lamp post.

Shinichi spun just in time to have the crowd gasp and jump back to give the thief a wide berth for an exit when needed. "Ha! Don't flatter yourself." He smirked. That was something he couldn't help when the thief showed. He hated it, too.

The thief continued to grin and disappeared in a cloud of pink smoke, only to reappear in Shinichi's line of sight. The detective barely had enough time to register the fact the thief had his hands on him before he was pulled into a one sided dance, then French dipped gracefully. "Trust me, tantei-kun there is something here, something powerful and terrifying." He was pulled up again, spun out then brought back again into KID's embrace. Back to chest, hearts perfectly lined and in tune. KID whipped him back out and back to him this time, nose to nose and achingly close. KID's smirk fell into something soft, personal before kissing Shinichi stupid.

The crowd went into an uproar and as soon as Shinichi felt his pulse skitter the thief pulled back gracefully and bowed and exploded in a shower of deep red roses and a single lavender one in the lapel of Shinichi's blazer.
