Bond arrived at his quartermaster's temporary apartment. Despite the shoddy look, the walls were actually sound-proofed. This was not his first visit. He often came here to request off-record favors from Q.

He pushed the bell and waited.

When there was no response, he decided to try the door, which was surprisingly unlocked. That was when he heard it.

Gunfire.

He immediately pulled out his gun and stealthily rushed toward the source. He paused for a while behind a separating wall before he jumped and aimed.

Instead of a fighting scene he spotted Q, sitting in front of his laptop with his back facing him, completely unaware of the weapon pointed at his head. A loud shot was heard from an impossibly tiny speaker with every click he made. Oh right, Q did mention about creating a classic sound distraction method.

Apparently he succeeded in making them so bloody realistic.

Bond realized his heart was beating wildly. But he would die before he admitted he was worried. He slipped his gun back into his neatly pressed suit and made a steady step toward Q.

Before the younger man could react to his presence, Bond touched the lid gracefully and snapped the laptop shut. Q was stunned for a moment before sending the agent an annoyed glare,

"007, that was so bloody childish."

Bond ignored him.
